Gershow Recycling was founded in 1964 by Sam Gershowitz and is one of Long Island’s oldest and most successful environmental companies whose mission is: Conserving the Future by Recycling the Past. Gershow recognized early on that Long Island had a growing solid waste problem and they could do something about it. As a result, they went to the region’s landfills to literally mine thousands of tons of cars that had been entombed there because they felt they could be recycled.

Gershow is always fair in their Scale pricing and have the Saturday hours which makes it convenient when someone like me works during the week. That is key. The Saturday Hour's. Besides that they are the most friendliest at the scales and in general in the scrap yard Vibe treats you like family.
The biggest thieves are in Gershow Lindenhurts, do not take your iron car or whatever to this place, they will scam you. I don't know but if these people are not the owners someone should fire them. I recommend gershow in bayshore
