Excellent service. It’s hard to find a shop that doesn’t screw you over. I needed a steering module put in, other places quoted me 4 hours of labor when I knew it was about 25 minutes, they were the only shop that was honest and quoted me correctly. They also had the part done when I had to drop it off at the end of the day. Super timely, very nice staff as well. Alex is wonderful. I will definitely be returning and recommending.

Amazing service! I needed to get some minor stuff done while visiting from out of state. The staff listened to my concerns and got my Jeep back on the road quickly so that I could safely continue my travels. I highly recommend this shop for all your vehicle repair needs.

They were ok. Very expensive. Quoted a price that was double the other places I went to. Left just a rating, shop responded with I'm not a customer. Their bill that I still have in my glove box says otherwise.

I was a week out from college drop-off when I heard the noise. Inccesant ticking coming from the engine. (Exhaust Manifold??). My local repair shop said they could do the work, a day later my local shop said they couldn't, they do not have the experience in the space given the big engine in the Jeep. They referred me to another shop, 2 more days later they stated they couldn't do it... Their expert hadnt shown up for 2 days... I was given Alex's number (Split Second) from a family member. Was told they do everything!!!! I called explained the issue and he said "Sure we've done that!". Thinking my family member contacted him, before i called, I stated I needed to know if the car was good for the long drive to college. He said he will take a look. If he thinks it's what it is, could be done by days end! No guarantee (Luckily, I had ordered the part from the original shop) Not only did he treat me like family, he explained to me the issue, why it happened and what caused it. Also letting me know of an additional issue. (Which he fixed) I called my cousin to thank him for the referral and calling ahead of time. My cousin stated he did not call him yet... and hadnt known my car was at his shop, let alone repaired!!! So Alex treated me as any other customer walking through the door, and I felt like he was treating me like he was servicing a family member or ViP I have a new service station for my cars!!! Best shop around. I’ve known Alex, the co-owner since HS (30 years now-unreal) when we worked at a local restaurant together. He was always into cars. I don’t live around the corner but I usually take my car to him for big stuff since he first opened. With three kids, several jobs and very little time, even though I have a shop a couple blocks from my house I’m going to start going for normal routine stuff. His prices are very reasonable and several times when the shop near my house couldn’t figure something out(unbelievable) he figured it out (from feel, amazing skill) without me mentioning it because I forgot. Today he fixed two things this other shop told me was a lost cause. He is also very kind, honest and humble. Best shop and guys around- Alex, Sev and crew! Don’t go anywhere else!!

I went there for a yearly inspection and the owner said there was a non working head light, replaced the head light then he came out there was no power to the head light and then no power to the window ????? My windows were working fine when I gotta there. He had my car for about 3 hours while I was waiting he said trying to figure out the problem. How long does it take you to replace a fuse? Only to charge me a lot of money to fix it Time for another shop!!! Think twice before getting your car there.

My wife and I have been using them for our two Infinity and Maximas since they opened over ten years ago. Alex and Sev’s team do great work at a fair price. We wouldn’t trust our cars with anyone else.

I was hit on the drivers side all the way from the back side of the car to the front and my car needed body work and repairs. Upon picking up my car, I was pleasantly surprised with the work and repairs done to it- absolutely impeccable and pristine. They left my car better than new. Every time I’ve had my car serviced here I’ve never left with a problem, all the contrary, always left feeling happy and at ease, knowing that my car was handled with the utmost care and the best quality of workmanship. Hands down, the best shop around Suffolk county. Strongly recommended. Even if I lived in Queens, I would travel here to get my car repaired.

I own a 2015 BMW X3 with 80,000+ miles. I had a leak in the front and needed new brakes. I brought my car to my BMW dealer who quoted me over $6,000. My car is only worth $12,000 on Carvana so that made no sense. My neighbor has used Split Second for over 10 years and referred me to them. I drove in to their spacious parking lot and was greeted by their Sev, the affable owner. He had his team immediately put my car on a lift and after a quick diagnosis, showed me around the underbelly of my car and exactly what service I needed. Later in the day he called me with a quote thousands of dollars less that my dealer and repaired my car the next day. When I brought my car in for the repair, he had a driver drive me home and then pick me up after my repair was completed. It doesn’t get any better than this. I will never bring my car in to my dealer again. I've got an awesome repair shop that I trust will keep my diesel car humming along for at least 5 more years. And I know many others feel the same way. While I was in the shop, a steady stream of customers kept coming in seeking inspections and other repairs and were all treated with the same efficient service. Great shop, great service, great prices.

So I've had my Jeep Grand Cherokee serviced at the Jeep dealership and other mechanics and I by far got the best pricing and service from this establishment. Alex really did go above and beyond. It's really hard to find a mechanic that doesn't hammer you nowadays so if you don't have a family member in the industry that will take care of you, then this is 100% this place to go.

I recently got into an accident with my 2018 Lexus GX 460. I was overwhelmed with the endless choices of where to bring my vehicle to be repaired.I listened to a friend who had a positive experience with Split/Second Auto Repair and Sales in Central Islip. I was met by Alex who was both professional and knowledgeable. He walked me through the process explained everything clearly. It was effortless . Alex handled the insurance company and the repair quickly. I received my truck back looking brand new ! The quality of the work was impressive! Split Second Auto Repair are good guys who have been in the neighborhood for many years. They have serviced all my autos since they started at this location. They are fair and will always do their best to explain the work to be required and provide options. They will let you know if anything needs to be addressed and will not recommend the unnecessary services.

Fast and friendly service. Always willing to work with you. I was looking to get some work done on my car and checked with several shops in the area. I was told by all of them to make an appointment, most were for a week later. I stopped at split second and was told they would take it in right away. And they were already very busy. While waiting there were three other walk ins and all were given estimates and were also told they could take them in right away

My guy Alex is the man. They never have any issue for me bringing my car down to them. Also they are quick and efficient. And if you have any sports car I would say you can trust them with that as well. Some other shops claim to do good work and don’t. These guys will.

If you're looking for a luxurious waiting room ... this is probably not your place. But Alex and the guys are remarkable mechanics. They get your car done fast and will tell you the truth if it requires major "surgery". I don't know how much I've saved over the years by passing up the dealers for Split Second.

Even without a prior appointment on a busy day, they took care of our inspection almost immediately. They stand by their name and get the job done quickly and accurately. These guys not only diagnosed my truck super fast and accurately but had an idea based of my explanation of what they were looking for before I even dropped it off. Hit the nail on the head. Speedy high quality repair. Not only did they meet my expectations, but surely exceeded them through the process. Excellent courteous customer service. In my opinion worth every penny spent. Was on the way to a camping trip - truck loaded with family and supplies and a shock absorber broke off our aging 4Runner along the Southern State Parkway - two hours from home, I lucked into this place. On a Friday afternoon (yikes), the guys got me in, the truck on a lift and figured out how to machine a spare part they didn't have. My kids went across the street and got their nails painted and 45 mins later we were back on the road. These guys saved our weekend. No fuss. No BS. Just honest and creative work at a decent price.

These guys rock! I've been going to them for years now and will continue.They are very honest and do excellent mechanic and body work. I took my sons car as he got into a fender bender and gave back the car looking like almost new. Great job guys.

Have been taking all of our cars and truck there for many years. They take care of everything from oil changes to tires and body work. Have never had a problem. They may not be the cheapest around, but you get what you pay for. Alex and crew are great!

They are honest, reliable, friendly and do an amazing job - truck always feels like new when I get it back.
