I called before going the and asked if they can test the Battery they said YES come overvwe will test it. I was parked at the Autozone in Commack who also claimed the machine was broken. When i got there, Hauppauge location, there were two staff members who told me the machine "just broke". And i was coming from the Autozone in Commak who also said the same. The truth is hat this company advertises that they will test the Battery but the employees dont want to do it. So don't waist your time with them. Terrible service.

Sean W was the most incredible associate. I brought in what was thought to be a defective battery from my son‘s car. Sean did a battery test and it turned out that the battery was actually good. However, the terminals were corroded. He sold me a terminal cleaning kit sent me on my way with my proof that the battery was good. He is a very valuable asset to AutoZone.

I went by this Auto Zone location with a car that had a “check transmission” light on. I walked in and was so relieved to bump into a guy named James that worked there. He asked me a few questions regarding the car, told me what the potential issues could be, and walked me right over to the transmission fluid that I most likely needed. He was right on the money because that’s EXACTLY what my car needed! Thanks so much for your above and beyond assistance James.

I went this autozone store multiple time their service very rude and bad. I went today for car key battery, manager Taylor she deny to change the battery. I changed many time car key from autozone everyone changed the battery never said no. Few minutes later I went other autozone gentleman changed for me. How come?

In 2024 it’s now more important than ever to cherish fantastic customer experiences. We want respectful, kind, efficient and accurate experiences when we go to spend our money. I’ve been auto parts shopping for years, in and out of autozones and advance auto. I’ve never really noticed anything special until I went to my now favorite store Autozone Hauppauge and it’s due to James, think he’s the assistant manager. James is all of those compliments above in addition to provides a perfect customer experience. Nothing is ever a problem for James. Please promote James to the manager and he can create and train the staff to be like him. Thanks James

I work up the road on rt 111. About a month ago, I stopped in and James helped me. He came out to my car and said he had the same exact make and model, and gave me a few tips, and was so nice. I stopped in last week to get a new wiper blade and James replaced it so fast I didn’t even know it was done. It turns out I got the wrong one. I needed the one for the driver n got the passenger. I purchased another one and, He advised it’s better to replace them both at the same time. I told him he was a great help and what a great personality. I will never go anywhere else. James goes the extra mile for his customers and is so pleasant.

The staff could not be more helpful or kind. The problem I had was resolved quickly and efficiently. I will come back here for anything My car needs. I would like to add that Maggie and James Were especially helpful. If I have more needs for my car, I will request to work with them personally.

My wife and I stopped at this autozone tonight in need of an emergency battery replacement. In the store was James (he said he was the only James at the store but his his name tag so I couldn’t see his name - is that what you teach them to do there at Autozone?) , another employee and 3 or 4 off the clock employees who were “just fooling around” Not a single other customer was in the store. James said the battery was $250 but he couldn’t put it in because that was just a courtesy and with only him, the other dude and the 3’off the clock employees who were “just fooling around”, therefore my wife and I were on our own. What a joke. Had an issue at the airport- looked for the most convenient Autozone on my way home because of good experiences I have had with other stores, but because James wanted to play with his pals at work, my wife and I were out of luck. Well I guess while Auto Zone might not be the last place I ever think of when I have an emergency, it certainly will never be the first place I think of; rather I’ll think of Napa or Advanced Auto Parts as my first choice. I know it’s hard to find competent employees- but this was a friggin joke. James should probably not be left in charge of anything. The place says it was open until 9, but this was 5:15 (and like I said, I was the only customer there) but apparently it wasn’t really open for business; rather it was open for James to play with his friends.

Had back bulb out and also needed rear wiper blade, staff MARGARET was so HELPFUL, she helped us install new bulb,, and rear wiper blade,, didn't have to go five other stores for help.. this will be our new go to Auto Store. Thanks so much Margaret...

The man at the front desk TJ was so helpful and kind. He was very thorough and explained all of my questions very well. Everyone at this location has been extremely helpful and nice. I highly recommend checking them out.

Got 4 employees in store on their phones unwilling to help. The store has no customers and I asked for help finding dirt guards and was told, “its over there” as he pointed at the back of the store. When I asked to show me, he proceeded to tell me the aisle number. Which by the way did not have the item, at which point I simply left. Laziness is an understatement for these guys.

35 years of driving and this was the best experience at an autoparts store ever. Helped me find the part, let me use a can of WD40 to loosen a part, super helpful and friendly, don't talk to you like you're an idiot. Clean and organize store. My new autparts store.

I was there on 02/22/22 and when I went there to the Hauppauge location off of 111 at 4:00 PM one of the employee,s informed me that they couldn't take back my used engine oil and furthermore I told them that the Commack location does take used engine oil and I stated that I called and they told me that they do take old engine oil back she responded no they don't , I said yes the Commack location does take oil back .The Hauppauge location on Route 111 claimed they don't have a license to take oil. When I drove to Commack Autozone it was a very nice and warm greeting and Commack Autozone was nice and they took back my used car oil I called and now the same girl said that Commack does take oil and Central Islip does too unlike what she told me in person they need to get their facts straight and get the license to take back car oil if what she stated was true.

We went to the place and it was more than half an hour before closing. Yet the staffs were showing as if they are closed. We asked for a help and the staff said he would come out and check the issue. He asked us to stand outside. Once we stepped outside the store; another staff- who knew that we were standing for the things get checked; closed the front door. Won’t recommend this place if you are going there a bit late.

Let me start off by complimenting James and Maggie. They are both so helpful and if I need to go to any autozone, I’d travel a little further just for the good customer service. I’m not really a car person and I’ve avoided going to autozone as long as I could (I really don’t know why lol) but I had to go to there for the 1st time a few weeks ago. James offered to helped me put the break light in my car and at first I denied the offer but in the end I came back and he got out of the store (with his manager permission) and came to help me. Today, I went back to buy a steering wheel cover and mats for my car. Maggie, the manager went outside and saw me STRUGGLING to put the cover on my steering wheel and offered to help me. I had bought the wrong size so I went back in to exchange it and James was there! I tried to put the bigger size cover on the steering wheel and I still struggled so I went back to ask for help and James put it on for me (Maggie also offered to help). Honestly, I don’t know if this is a normal thing for autozone employees to go above and beyond for their customers but I’m very grateful... thank you! :)

Went to the location at the end of March to Purchase new Windshield wiper blades. The sign advertised $15 mail in rebate with the purchase of 2 Rain X AdvantEdge blades. At the front when paying the female employee walked to the aisle to check the promotion came back to the front and said they didn't have anymore rebate forms and to just go online and do it. After trying 3 times online with the same response saying that it was an invalid rebate I reached out to be told that the promotion ended the 2nd week in March and the store made a mistake and forgot to take down the sign but would expect a call from the store manager to fix the situation. The Manger called on a Monday and when i called back was told she was in the process of hiring a new employee and couldn't come to the phone but would call me back and was hung up on before I could even give my name or number. I called back 2 more times that week once being told that she wasn't working and the next time she was in a meeting. I proceeded to try my luck again on Sunday April 11th but was informed the manager was off but my information would be forwarded to her to return my call. Another week has gone by and have not received a call back. Safe to say its back to PepBoys for me.
