Fine experience but the cashier was spreading the urban legend that replacing headlights by hand would contaminate them with hand oils. He was real smarmy about it when I said worst case scenario I'd be back soon. Unsavory experience, will likely hit up any other location for this chain for the attitude alone.

I don't usually leave reviews anywhere, but this time I'm doing so to share my excellent experience. My car broke down on the snowy day and was completely dead, thankfully right next to the Autozone store in Commack. I went in to ask if they could help me with the battery, and the very kind manager, Ruth, allowed associate Jose to change the battery for me. Jose was an angel from the start, super friendly, polite, and an excellent worker. He changed my battery, which, by the way, was not easy at all. So I'm truly grateful for their help.

Superior service at this location shout out to sal who cuts to the chase in parts knowlege saved me hundreds of dollars in helping me nail down a persistent engine problems ..amazing at multitasking with his employees.....

Sal thank you for being a great employee. Its refreshing to have someone so eager to help. I asked him about a tool we needed last minute to change some spark plugs before closing. He gladly helped me and his smile and customer service was appreciated.

I just want to say how helpful Ruth and Kyle were to me !! I was so stressed about my battery in my car and they were amazing !! They resolved my issue within minutes ! Kyle went out in the cold and fixed my battery ! They are absolutely the best shop I highly recommend coming to this autozone in Commack !! Thank you again Ruth and Kyle

These guys were so kind and helpful today. My break light was out and I had an hour drive home from work. They came outside to check what I needed, sold me exactly what I needed nothing more nothing less. Then they made a few calls so I could get it taken care of 4 minutes away so I didn’t get a ticket on my way home. I can’t thank them enough for taking the time and showing such kindness!

I just wanted to share my experience with purchasing a battery for my car at Auto Zone in Commack. It was Thanksgiving weekend and my battery died on Saturday.. Of course it was a day we had gale force winds and it was freezing cold! A perfect day to jump start a car! Thankfully, I got it started... Then left it running so I could research batteries online for a 2008 Volvo XC90... Thankfully, I found one to purchase at AUTO ZONE in COMMACK and ordered it for pick up. I figured I would try installing it myself since my repair shop is closed on weekends... I received the ready for pick up email very quickly. :) So I headed out to get the battery. When I arrived I was greeted by a wonderful store associate, Jose C. He asked how he could help and I mentioned I was here to pick up the battery I ordered. I told him I was going to take a crack at installing it myself. Well, the next thing I know he said " I WILL INSTALL IT FOR YOU"! My mouth dropped, OMG... What a Blessing! Out he went, with NO COAT ON, battery in hand. He opened the hood and I showed him what I thought was the battery. This was not the main battery, it was the auxiliary battery... Well, I used it to jump the car and it worked.. What did I know.. After looking at the manual Jose was able to locate the main battery, which was in my cargo area under the floor. He removed the floor panel easily because there was nothing in the way. Then removed the battery cover, clamps and bolts and out came the old battery and in went the new one. He put everything back perfectly and the car started right up!! :)))) Another Blessing!!!! Thank you so much Jose!!! All I can say I am very grateful to have had such outstanding customer experience with Jose C from AUTO ZONE. He went above and beyond what I ever expected! We all know how difficult it is to get help in the stores these days. So when someone goes out of their way to help I believe they need to be recognized!! I highly recommend you check out Auto Zone in Commack!

Called to see if they could check my battery and was told to come straight down. Once there, I was told the battery tester had been broken for days. Awesome.

I went to autozone yesterday for a specific problem with my 2006 jeep cherokee..i was helped by Chris c., an employee at commack location..I received an amazing amount of excellent customer service from him..he did some troubleshooting, he was able to diagnose the issue and actually fixed the problem right there!!..I am extremely happy with the service Chris c. provided..I thought for sure I was going to to have to bring jeep to a mechanic, but with his knowledge and persistence to solve the issue, he was able to..I was, and still am ecstatic about it! He saved from going to costly auto shop, and saved me from that whole hassle..besides these skills, he was also extremely courteous, patient and definitely went above and beyond..it was definitely the best experience and service I have EVER received from an auto parts store..autozone should be very happy to have an employee like Chris c!! Thank you again chris!

Great Auto parts store. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Whenever I go in, whether it be for oil an auto part, they always have what I need.

I live on New York ave in Huntington Station but I will make the journey to Commack because Ruth is on her game. Customer Service and extremely knowledgeable that is why I will make the journey to Commack moving forward.

I had a great experience here today. Chris C helped me with my light bulbs and even installed them for me. I'm returning to Long Island after a long time of being away and looking for suggestions to take my car for car washes and service. He recommended a car wash place to use. This review is way overdue. I promised Michael, one of the managers, that I would write a review because I was delighted with the service I received there. Back in June, my husband purchased windshield wipers for my car. The store was about to close, so he wasn't able to have the wipers installed. I returned the next morning, requesting that they be installed. It was early, and not all of the staff were on hand. Michael initially asked if I would be able to return later in the day, and someone would be able to assist me. It would have been an imposition and I let him know that. Despite the fact the store had limited staff, Michael decided to assist me with putting the wipers on my car. I sorry it took so long to write this review, but wanted I wanted to hold to a promise that I would give thumbs up to Michael and AutoZone on Jericho Turnpike.

Today I went to this location to have my battery replaced and the person who replaced my battery ripped up the wiring on the battery. The manager Ruth was very nice and resolved the issue immediately and sent me to a local mechanic to have it fixed. On the other hand when I callled the district manager Ryan to explain the situation he was very short with me and didn’t want to hear what I had to say. I would expect more from a district manager especially when my car gets damaged my one of the employees but I guess not they should promote the store manager Ruth who helped me because she seemed more inclined to deal with a customer complaint and issue rather then this guy very unprofessional

The AutoZone on New York Ave gave me horrible, rude service. I went in to exchange a turn signal bulb and they gave me the same one back. Came to the Commack location, and the bulb they gave me wasn’t even in the system. Thankfully, the store manager here was super helpful and got it all sorted. I’ll be coming back to Commack from now on.

Excellent service. Danny was very helpful and had my order waiting for me. He was professional with his customer service and knew how to get the best deal for me.

The tail light bulb on my Lexus was out. Daniel helped me purchase a new one AND offered to help me replace it. Asst Managers Daniel and James were terrific! I highly recommend this autozone store for your automotive needs! They are knowledgeable and professional and courteous. My lucky day was walking into their store!

I want to thank Daniel F. for his excellent customer service. He helped me find the right brake pads and rotors, and even guided me through a great deal they had going on. He was patient, knowledgeable, and made the whole process smooth. Big thanks to Daniel for going above and beyond!

Literally created an account just to leave this review. I understand the place closes at 9 but my brake light went out & I don’t want to get pulled over… so I show up at 8:30 with a simple question of which lightbulb I need for my car. This gentleman with blonde hair & a beanie (I don’t remember exactly it happened too fast) literally came up huffing & puffing saying “it’s literally 8:40, alright I can help you sir” almost as if he wanted to hear me & didn’t even bother being discreet about it. I understand people coming in last minute sucks, trust me I do (I avoid it at all costs) but at least I hide it & this is after working consecutive 12hr shifts back to back. I don’t know his name & I don’t wish ill will upon anybody but I immediately walked out. I hope he doesn’t get fired because I get it but I hope he comes to realize that that’s not the way you treat or talk to customers. Unprofessional as hell. Please stop being rude, we all work too.

I always use Commack #6489. Daniel helped me with my purchase. He is beyond fabulous!! He helped me locate my items-even went into the back to find my item. Offered to change my wipers which saved me a trip to my mechanic! Love this store and thank you Daniel!!

Ruth was amazing. She took the time to cross reference a relay with me on the internet because my part number was not showing in the computer. Together we found the relay I needed and it is being brought in from another store. THANK YOU!!!

Needed a new battery for my truck. I gave them the make and model of the truck, they typed the info into their system and they told me which specific batteries would fit. I selected a battery, confirmed with the cashier that it was one their system said would fit, purchased and installed it. I continued having battery issues and brought it to my mechanic thinking it was a bad alternator. As it turns out, the battery they sold me was the wrong size and not capable of putting out enough energy for the truck. I still had the receipt and attempted to return the battery, but they wouldn't take it back.

Needed to get my driver's side Windshield wiper replaced and went to AutoZone. Greeted as I walked in, told the young man my issue and why i was holding a broken windshield wiper. He was very knowledgeable and helped me pick out the proper product. He explained it was best to replace both wipers and I agreed. I asked if someone would replace it for me right away as it had broken off and a snow storm was coming that night. Great place with excellent customer service.

I stopped in with a battery issue and felt helpless as i am not handy when it comes to cars. The two workers that helped me John F & Liz D were so helpful and hands on with identifying the issue and going the extra mile to make sure not only was it taken care of but in the correct way. I have never shopped at Autozone before but will go to this location anytime i am in need of car parts based on the expertise and knowledge these two wonderful employees had. They truly went the extra mile and i greatly thank them for that.
