Walter was very helpful! I know next to nothing about cars, but I called and explained what I needed to him and he told me what they had in stock and what it would cost me. I drove up 30 minutes later, got what I needed at exactly the price he quoted, and he helped me install new wiper blades! No condescension, no teasing, no taking advantage and upselling when I said I don’t know what I’m looking at. Just great service and a friendly personality. Thank you!

I always use advance auto. Today I needed a battery and was assisted by Matt. He was very helpful with assisting me choosing the right battery. He also did a great job with the installation.

Just bought a new Battery from Advanced Auto and I must say I thought customer service was gone forever. Not so here, our new battery had an issue when we left the store. David and Steven left the shop and came to us and discovered that the bolts from the original battery were causing an issue. They replaced them and made sure we were good. Started and stopped the van a few times until they were sure we were good to go. We found a new Auto shop.
From the moment I stepped into Commack Advance Auto Parts, the customer service was superb. I needed a windshield wiper and started discussing my car with Dave. Besides buying the wiper, I explained how I couldn’t get my interior windows clear. He explained the logic of a dirty cabin filter & engine filter!
We took a look and it was black sticky dirt. They were changed and no more problems .. Thanks for working in our community & taking care of our cars !! Dave is extremely polite, kind, caring, and very customer service oriented !

I had an appointment across the street, and when I went to leave my car battery was dead. My battery terminal was loose and the wiring was pretty bad, but I had also known that I needed a car battery anyway from the previous owner (new to me car within a month).
I happened to notice advanced auto was across the street (perfect timing), and went in.
They were kind and helpful. Dave Hoskin, the manager at the time, took the time to come across the street.
When we realized we needed new negative terminal wiring and clamp (the old one had a rusted bolt and that broke), he took the time to find the right things we needed to make it happen. He also added a battery tie down, which the car didn't have prior too and really should have to keep the battery from bouncing around (part of the reason why this happened).
Dave was helpful and kind, and generous with his time. I'm very appreciative of this kind of service and it deserves to be acknowledged and promoted.

I just shopped there and I must say the gentlemen David Hosk. Is a fantastic manager. He was able to help me locate a part within 2 minutes and the part was correct. Not only did I leave with the correct part but I left with extra add-ons like tools, ACP, cleaning spray, air fresheners that made my DIY job even easier. Without David Hosk i wouldn’t have completed my DIY job. David Hosk. Is a great manager and he made my shopping experience a breeze and extremely knowledgeable in the parts department. He had a great attitude and the moment I asked for help I already knew he was going to knock it out the park. David Hosk is a true winner of a manager and he should be the next CEO of the company and then the company will finally become more profitable because his people skills are thru the roof and people would LOVE to work for David Hosk. He is the best manager around town and with David Hosk in the building you can surely believe all employees will be working at full steam and have high work ethics. David Hosk is a heavy hitter in the manager position and hopefully will become CEO of the company soon and then finally make the company stock pump through the roof. David Hosk is the guy for the job and even better he is the best contender for CEO. If there’s one guy who can increase teamwork productivity, team morality, team punctuality, team ethics, increase sales as a team, increase profit, sell ACPs, it’s David Hosk.
I visited the store with my son . I loved how friendly the manager was with my son and made him very happy. Due to such a nice experience this store is my son’s favorite store. Definitely the best customer service I have seen in a long time
I'm a novice when ot comes to vehicles. So I always have to get help from.the employees whenever I go to this type of store. So over my 25 years of driving & owning vehicles I never had a more pleasurable experience than I did at this store. The manager David took car of my battery issue & went over and beyond. He did extra that he really didn't have to do to make sure I had no other issues battery related such as my alternator & starter. What a nice guy & knowledgeable. The other workers were great as well. I will only be using this storefor now on. I can't say enough about David he took sometimes that give me anxiety & made ot into under the circumstances as smooth as possible!!
Kenny at Advancd Auto Parts was extremely helpful. I called up the place and he spoke with me on the phone about testing my car battery. I went there shortly after and he took the time to help me clean everything out of my trunk because that was where the battery was. I did not know that! (Whoops) He ran the test, and the diagnosis was a bad battery, so I bought a new one there and he replaced it for me without hesitation. Also, it looked very uncomfortable for the way he had to sit in the trunk to replace it, so I really appreciate his service so much because I was worried I would get stuck somewhere if my battery were to not work. I bought a pair of Rain X wiper blades and attempted to install myself however Walter was kind enough to take over and install them properly for me. Great staff here!
Never going back. I purchased a battery from AAP after careful measurements done by store agents, it was the wrong size. I went to return it for my money back and they had the nerve not to give me a full refund because the battery was returned in a different state. “WHAT”?? I’m still going to fight for my 6.04$.
Went in to get battery replaced and asked the man to come out and test it and tell me which battery I would need to replace it and he told me he could not test it and that I had to know which engine it was to replace my battery with. He wouldn’t even look at the car because that would require him coming out from behind the computer. Absolutely horrible service. In one breathe the man told me it didn’t matter and then he said “well, hopefully it doesn’t make a difference” absolutely horrible service. Would not recommend going there at all.
Went here to buy a car comfort seat assistanc un fortunately they had the bumper sides one that help I don't need. Need wide snd thick. Will check-in Auto store Westbury old country road today Saturday.
If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would. This was the most unpleasant experience I've had at an auto store before. I walked in, and wasn't even acknowledged.. there were 2 guys behind the counter having a meaningless conversation with another man. Going into an auto parts store as a female is bad enough, as they always mansplain everything as if you don't know about your own car. I went to return a defective battery I was sold. I had the battery for 3 months (May-now), and had to be jumped twice by AAA in 24 hours. I had the battery replaced and installed by a mechanic near my job- he ran diagnostics on the whole car. The battery is supposed to sit at 650 and was coming back at 38.
WALTER at the Commack location on Jericho Tpke, informed me that I should have bought the battery back and they would have given me a new one to which I replied "why would I replace a p.o.s. battery with another p.o.s battery, no thank you, I'd like a refund." I had a receipt with full detail of the defective battery from the mechanic, he didn't even want to see it. Their website does not state that batteries are not returnable items. After my answer, Walter than informed me "batteries run low when there's something wrong with the car" as if I didn't just tell him there was no other issue. His attitude was completely condescending and unhelpful. This man should not be helping female customers if he's going to assume we don't know what we're talking about.
Luckily, I got a hold of Kristi on the phone through their customer service number, and will be sent a check refunding the purchase.
Excellent service. Very helpful. A late night flat tire, staff was courteous, helpful, and quick with answers. Would recommend to any place do you anybody for anything, at any time. Hopefully places like to stay in business. Good luck to you guys. Wish I took a photo when I was there. Good stuff.
John the manager would not replace a defective battery still under warranty. I'm a longtime customer & never had this problem with Advance. I had to call the home office file a complaint against John the manager. Then he refused to give us a proper receipt stating that we had a warranty on the new battery. It was a vengeful act against a longtime customer. As long as John is the manager I will never shop in the Commack NY store again
Went because my 4 year old Jeep Wrangler could no longer start without a jump. I was helped right away by Mike and he immediately proceeded with a free charging system test. Within 2 minutes he was able to diagnose that the battery was the culprit. Not only did I get a great price on a battery, but it was installed within 10 minutes and I was on my way. Great experience highly recommend Advanced Auto Parts. Bravo!
Bought 2 Trico onyx Beam wiper blades for $49.00 including tax. I could have bought the same ones on Ebay for $28.00 This price was outrageously high. The staff was friendly & helpful. I'm a longtime customer that will consider shopping elsewhere in the future.
Ordered a battery online. Price was good, especially after using online coupon code. They installed it for no charge, and even plugged in a backup battery during the install so I didn't have to reprogram the radio presets.
