I own a Ford Transit 350, and I use Route 11 for all of my service. I'm very pleased with the service overall. Sometimes the van is there longer than I planned, but they usually communicate "why". The people are awesome.

A textbook predatory mechanic. I've been fooled by this business twice now, and it will not be happening again. I find it particularly sad to see one business taking advantage of another in our small North Country community. To my knowledge, this is the only garage within 60+ miles of me that is certified to perform inspections on vehicles over 10,000 lbs... they certainly use that fact to their advantage.
Last year (2023), it ended up costing me over $800 to pass inspection- all of which could have been avoided by replacing a simple fuse. Needless to say, I was pretty steamed, but I paid up and moved on. Inspection time rolled around again this year, and I heard the Rt. 11 ownership had changed since my last experience... Since the alternative would have bene driving my F-550 over 60 miles to another garage, I foolishly decided to return to Rt. 11 for another inspection in December of 2024.
It took them about a week to even look at the truck after dropping it off. Then they called to say one of the tires on my vehicle would not pass inspection; the grift began again. I reluctantly agreed to have them replace the tire: the truck was already there and how much could that possibly cost‽ Little did I know they would bill me AN HOUR AND A HALF for this; nearly $200 just to change a tire.
We run a small farm business. The difference between a $20 inspection bill and a $500 bill for bogus AND unnecessary service is no small difference. Doing inspections is clearly not lucrative enough for Rt. 11 Trucking. They always find a few hours worth of labor to sink into your vehicle to make up for that. Again, I find it very disappointing to see local businesses prey on one another, and I am definitely not the only business it my personal orbit to have had issues with these folks. ln future, I will spend my money on diesel to take my business elsewhere.
I lost two trailer tires. These guys were the only commercial tire shop around. They were very busy but the one mechanic volunteered to work through lunch to fix me up
I had a problem with the SCR system and truck was in 5mph derate. They were able to diagnose the problem and get me running again within hours. They were very professional and kept me informed as they made the repair. Highly recommend. Great shop, great people. Thanks
Do not recommend having any vehicle serviced here for any reason. They got me good. Quoted me for $79 for alignment. Leave there with a broken control arm & unaligned truck. $300 bill for bolt they broke. I would never go back there. Drove 45 mph straight to Mort Backus & sons got told they installed the bolt they broke backwards. So no can’t drive anywhere until get this resolved. Horrible customer service & lack of respect. My truck is in way worse condition then before I dropped off here for a simple alignment. No alignment & a 300$ bill to get my keys. Complete joke. Wish could post couple pics of their work.
Professional and helpful staff. I blew a brake chamber and they showed up in less than 30 minutes. The man repaired my truck and then refused a tip even though he saved me a whole day's worth of work.
I have complete faith in their service and the care they took with the motor home repairs. They make every effort to get the solution that keeps us on the road safe . I recommend this place for services and friendly business.
They just completed body work on my horse trailer that had been damaged in hail storm. It looks fantastic! All of the people that work there were very helpful and informative. I highly recommend them!
I'd give them less than 1 if I could. Not only did they keep my trailer for a week when they originally told me the next day, they quoted $470 then hit me with a $650 bill with no call. "Well it took more parts and time than we had quoted." A phone call about the increase in cost would have been wonderful. I didn't have to have some of the work done that I had done and if the quote had even been close to the final cost I wouldn't have had the work done.
EDIT - I'll leave the original. When I went to get my trailer in the evening Barry came out and explained the extra work they had to do (which hadn't been explained before). All of this frustration could have been alleviated by a simple phone call. Also the lights on my trailer still aren't working properly. He stated they would keep it and figure it out and fix it without charging me anything. I will update to 3* if they actually do that.
