Responded to my insurance claim extremely fast, and wasted no time coming out to my location. Andrew, the driver, was incredibly personable and great at his job. I was impressed all around. Definitely got me out of an otherwise unfortunate situation rather quickly. He deserves a raise.
I had a flat tire and I called AAA, they gave me this towing company and while I don’t remember the man’s name that helped me, he was so kind and easy to talk to :)
Incredibly grateful for the patience and kindness from the gentleman who answered the phone when I called for a tow. He explained what he thought was going on with my car to help ease the panic that I’m sure he could hear in my voice. He never once seemed annoyed or inconvenienced that I called, even with the weather quickly worsening. He also had someone over to tow my car quickly and without hesitation. Really appreciative of the great customer service overall.
They are always there to provide quality and timely work. They don’t sell you parts you don’t need and they can explain what is going on with your car in terms you can understand. They have helped me out multiple times.
I punctured a tire in Norwood today and called AAA to get my spare tire installed. They sent an employee from here to my rescue. I couldn't of asked for better service. He was very friendly, caring, and worked quickly despite the cold weather that he was stuck out in.
Recently, I had a big issue with my 2018 Chevy Trax and I was able to utilize Johnson's Towing and Auto Repair in Canton NY for the entire process from start to finish! They were professional, courteous, cost effective and did a great job getting my car back up and running in a respectable about of time, especially considering how busy this smaller shop was! I would like to thank everyone from the tow truck drivers to Carlin who worked at the front office and Dustin the mechanic that fixed everything. I would highly recommend this repair facility to anyone in need of assistance with their car repairs. Thanks again everyone!
I was in Potsdam for my grandson's college graduation. I was connected with Eric Johnson through AAA when my car wouldn't start. I had my '24 Silverado underneath sprayed. Had some new squeaks and creaks develop after. They understood my concerns and dealt with it in a timely manner and resolved the issue
We have a car that failed inspection. They were very helpful in providing guidance about whether it could or should be repaired and then when we decided that it was done, they facilitated donating it to a local fire service for emergency training.
When a local auto repair shop in Ogdensburg didn't want to come out to unlock my car (whose keys were locked in), they gave me Johnson's # and I'm glad they did. They came out in 30min and got me in my car in just a few minutes. Very reliable and awesome service!

First experience as a newcomer to the area was great. Communicative, professional crew. Informed me of everything I needed for getting my car into New York State compliance. Smooth process overall, would recommend. They also do fluid film undercoating, looking into their additional services now after emissions. Eric and Katie were great.
Johnson's is an honest and hard-working repair shop in addition to being a AAA tow service. Have never been dissatisfied with my service or interactions with them. Erik is a straight shooter who I trust.
If I could give negative stars I would! This company's customer service is atrocious the way they deal with their customers is unprofessional and honestly downright deplorable! My car was towed and when I went to pick up my vehicle the next day I phoned and talked to Eric himself about fees and pick up etc. My car was technically in his lot for 1 day (Friday) I authorized a friend to pick up so I wouldn't incur an extra 100$a day, this man would not let me pick up my car on Friday before they closed for the weekend. he said he didn't care to release my car to me based on his own moral obligation to himself, WHICH IS ILLEGAL. YOU CANT PLAY GOD AND HOLD PEOPLES CARS HOSTAGE JUST BECAUSE YOU WANT TO! SICK!!
I went there for an oil replacement and they seemed very friendly when I dropped it off, when I picked my car up the next day everything seemed fine so I paid and left. When I got back home my dad realized that they never even replaced the oil. When I called them about it they answered all friendly and then when I mentioned not getting oil they just hung up…
Was not impressed with this company’s towing service. Charged me 300.00 for a tow that was 4.1 miles from my house and would not give me 10 minutes to get to the atm to pay him so I could drive it home. We never needed a tow anywhere only needed to get pulled out of the ditch , now is towing it back to canton. How unprofessional and so disrespectful they are . I would never recommend anyone to use this company for any towing related service. If you want a great towing company that is great with every customer I would highly recommend trusseder’s garage in edwards ny
Well I bought my part for my truck and had them tow it. About a month and 2 weeks later (after apologizing and bugging them since I was walking a mile to work and back everyday in the winter) I was told the frame wouldn't pass inspection even though the last owner got it passed before he told it to me. I just moved here from Seattle and have never had to do inspections so, I'm not fully knowledgeable about it.
Anyway, that's not why I'm giving 2 stars. It's because during that month I was only told "sorry it's taking so long". Well, anything else you can tell me? Have you started on my truck? Is the frame fixable? Literally all I heard was that and "frame is rusted" I went to sell it to scrap it ($1,000 later) and I'm not sure if I'm happy that he was being honest or after a month later and several times contacting them I was told "sorry Can't help".
There have been several occasions that I have had vehicles towed and repair work done. I have never experienced any problems.
Recently my wife was in an accident and Eric's service is the one I requested. After looking at the vehicle it was obvious that there would be no point in attempting repair. So I asked Eric if the scrap value would cover the towing to which he said it would. Entire problem taken care of in minutes.
Other times I have been there for tires that needed plugs, etc. Always been a good experience. Currently have appmt for front suspension work on my truck. I expect the same service I have always received without issues.
My water pump blew after dropping my son off at college 400 miles from my home. Went to Johnson's when they opened. They understood my plight and were able to fit me in and repair my car within a very timely manner. All the staff there were extremely courteous. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Hope I never have to use them again but if i'm in a jam or my son has a problem with his vehicle when he's allowed to take it up to college, we'll definitely be calling Johnson's first!!

Was very helpful to take care of my son when a boulder ran into him on his college campus during an ice storm. Very quick to respond and got him back on the road. My daughter was stranded at work. I called for roadside assistance, and Johnsons was sent to help. Despite the roadside company sending the wrong info to to them, Johnsons was great! My daughter said the man who came was helpful and had the car running in no time. He was helpful, professional, and so understanding! A great relief to a worried mother...

Excellent work, extremely professional. Definitely the best in the North Country. Very happy that they are the AAA provider now. They had to pull me 50 feet up a frozen driveway and did it with ease.

My daughter's car battery died, and was unable to be jumped. Being miles away in another city at the time I was unable to attend to the situation myself. Johnson's Towing understood this and came out to my daughter's vehicle and quickly had the situation fixed, and my daughter on her way. Their professionalism, quick response time, and more importantly knowledgeable staff was incredibly useful. I would certainly recommend Johnson's Towing to anyone who is looking for a no-hassle experience during some automotive troubles.
