She’s 18 and not experienced with cars, and they treated her with respect — no upselling, no taking advantage, just great service! So grateful to have a trustworthy shop in the area. Highly recommend!

Was traveling up to Albany when a snowstorm hit, my southern car was NOT equipped for it. After sliding around on the road and needing to get pulled out of snow, someone recommended a shop to me. I pulled into this one thinking it was the one I called- turns out it was not, but they immediately helped me out. He took my car for a quick spin and brought it in to see what was wrong. My tires were BALD. Although they were unable to help w the tire situation, they told me where to go and I was able to get everything taken care of. If I was a local I would absolutely only come to this shop for service after the experience I had, they were AWESOME. 10/10 recommend!

I can't thank this shop enough for getting me back on the road today. My car was jam packed with my belonging as I was making a move from Maryland to Maine and I had a no-crank situation after stoping at the I-88 rest area and was stuck there over 4 hours waiting for AAA to het me tower in a small but cold snowstorm. I called them first thing in the morning and they were willing to try their best for me right on the spot. They were able to get my car pushed into the shop, diagnosed( corroded starter) and back out in the road with a new starter in about 2 hours and I made it to my destination for the night in time. The waiting area was warm, inviting and had and awesome chat with one of their other clients.

I was on my way home from a camping trip with my family and my truck broke down. They were able to get my truck in and get me back on the road. Highly recommend, very friendly and informative.

J & M Auto helped me in a dire situation, and were kind and professional throughout the process. We will without a doubt be going to them with our future auto needs!

J & M Auto provided exceptional service when I recently brought my car in for repairs. Ralph and his team are professional, reliable, efficient and knowledgeable. I’m very grateful that I could trust them to be honest and accommodating when my car suddenly began falling apart. They replaced my grinding brakes, fixed an oil leak and now I feel safe driving my car again. I highly recommend J & M Auto - they’re the best in the area.

10/10 service here at J&M!! I’m new to town and my alternator went, knowing no one, I asked everyone at my job who they went to. EVERYONE said J&M auto and they were right! Raulph made room in his schedule to help me out when he had no reason to. Can’t say enough wonderful things.

Called because the underside of my car got ripped off, they were able to have me in shop within the hour, assessed the problem and sent me off with good info on what I needed to do, very efficient :)

This place has amazing service! Recently my AC died in my car and I needed to find a good and trustworthy place to get it fixed. I was able to find J and M Auto who was able to get me in within a couple of days, assess the problem and fix the AC system all in the same day! They were kind, friendly and had great customer service with every interaction I had with them! They even so kindly offered me a ride to and from their shop so I could get my car fixed, which was greatly appreciated! I definitely recommend going to J and M Auto! Thanks again!

The team and J and M is great to work with. They're convenient for our son as well, across from the high school. They do great work and are reasonably priced.

Raphael is an amazing person with a great sense of humor. I called him early in the morning asking for help lifting a heavy part on my truck, and the first thing he said was, "Of course, come by anytime." Less than 15 minutes later, I was there, and he had the job done quickly. To top it off, he refused to accept any money and said he was just happy to help. What a great guy! I highly recommend working with him he's honest and trustworthy.

Great customer service, After calling multiple repair shops, They quickly returned my phone call, my car was dropped off on Tuesday, was confimed it was indeed the clutch, was given a quota on the repair cost, and possible time on how long it would take. Got the call days early car was done. Never once talked down to me, explained repairs, awesome at giving updates. Would recommend J & M they are now my official car people for repairs.

Came to give them 5 stars BEFORE i even picked my car back up after repairs. why? because they were exceptional over the phone. I was impressed at the simple fact that not only do they actually answer the phone right away, they listened to me ramble for 5 minutes about the issue with my daughters car and when i was out of breath, they simply said " we got you". i couldn't recommend this place more. they deserve more than 5 stars! i will be back, and i will recommend to any patient i have that needs work done. thank you for being you!

Ralph was an absolute professional! He was accurate, fast and sympathetic to our issue. He and his guys fixed our car quickly and properly. We will be back again an again. After a bout of terrible mechanics, J n M really hit it out of the park for us!!!!! Thank you so much guys 😊

J&M has been servicing my Mom and Dad's cars for many years - they are always accommodating and very reasonably priced. My Mom had a dead car battery a few days ago on one of the coldest days of the year - AAA jumped her car, warmed it up, and she drove it right over to J&M. Mom said they were very busy, but they were able to fit her in and install a new battery for her. She is very thankful to J&M and so am I. Always great service - I highly recommend!

My engine blew the week before Christmas and the owner was very helpful with getting it fixed very quickly I appreciate how communicative they were with the prices and services needed. Also just super friendly and nice.

I moved up here from Long Island January of this year & my biggest fear was not having a trustworthy & honest mechanic that I had. I was recommended by my plumber to use J & M auto. The 1st time when I called I s/w Ralph & I mentioned a few things and he said I have an early opening the next day. Brought it in & they did an over all inspection & mentioned rear brakes/shocks needed to be done. He asked if I could leave it for the day except my mom can’t drive to pick me up. Without hesitation Ralph said I can drive you home & pick you up when it’s ready. Ralph is a genuine down to earth, super friendly & so easy to talk to and explains everything in detail. The work was completed by the end of the day. The great thing too if you can pay by cash he works it in for you. My fear is gone because I now have my mechanic🤗. Great group of guys you can really trust!!!! Highly recommend J & M…..

All I can say is wow! They tackled a huge amount of work on our vehicle all the while keeping me informed on everything. They fixed a fuel leak , front wheel bearings, front brakes and rotors as well as rear drum brakes in one day while I waited in their clean, comfortable waiting room. I was offered lunch , coffee asked if I needed anything throughout the day! I can say I will NEVER go to another auto shop so impressed with all aspects of J&M Auto! Thank you to everyone for your honest hard work!

On multiple occasions, I have visited J&M Auto for different services, and each time I have found Ralph to be consistently respectful, empathetic, and attentive to his consumer's needs and situations. He is exceptionally flexible and makes every effort to address any potential issues that may occur with your vehicle. There is a scarcity of reputable mechanics in our little area, but the exception is Ralph at J&M Auto. I strongly recommend bringing your car needs to Ralph, as I assure you that you will receive genuine assistance!

We've been bouncing around for years to different mechanics. My brother is a mechanic out in Sharon springs, but we wanted one closer. You guys are amazing!! Not only the work that you do, but the time you complete it in is the best around. When you pair that with your personalities, it's a win win! Very friendly and enjoyable. Like many of the other reviews state, finding a good mechanic is difficult. We live in Cobleskill area and had gone through all of the corporate places like Mavis etc. only to be fully disappointed with all of them. Some of them even ended up costing us large sums of money due to their poor mechanical ability, which they refused to stand behind. We found J&M and will never leave them. Excellent service, done correctly the first time. Reasonable costs for service and an excellent customer support ideology. As long as they'll be in business, we will be coming to J&M! Don't even bother trying out anywhere else! J&M is the only mechanic shop in the area who should have your business!

The owner and the mechanics are very courteous and helpful. As I was waiting for my car in the waiting room, I watched the owner explained to a lady what he was doing to her car And what she should do to keep it in good condition he was not impatient with her when she asked questions. They do quality work here At a fair price.

This place is absolutely amazing!!! I've been going to them for years and they always go above and beyond. This particular time I went to go to work and my car wouldn't even turn over. Ralph told me to have it towed, but let me know they were pretty busy so they might not get to it immediately. Well they did, and one mechanic even came in when they were closed to work on my car so I could have it back and go back to work. I am truly amazed by the dedication everyone there has to their job. Anyone who goes anywhere else is a fool.

So glad I found this place. These guys are really friendly, helpful, and fairly priced. I took my car in for a check engine light and there ended up being some pretty major issues, and my car was still finished the next day. They even corrected an issue from a previous mechanic. I’m not a car person, but they broke down the issues and even took pictures to explain. They will 100% be my new go to mechanic.

I was told to come to J & M AUTO after issues with a previous mechanics place left me with car/mechanic anxiety. I am so glad I did! Both times I've been there, they've gotten me in quick, got the problem taken care of and most of all communicated with me throughout. If I could give more stars I would, I appreciate everything they've done for me so far and will definitely be bringing my vehicles to them from now on. Couldn't be happier.

Working nights and driving very far for work makes it hard to find a place that’s even open between your work hours. My car needed to be inspected. I stopped in on my way home from work. I explained my situation and all the trouble I was having with getting car inspected at another garage. I was politely told that I could wait and see if they could squeeze my car in with an already busy morning line up that they had. I was totally ok with that. I did not make an appointment and really dropped curve ball on these guys. Within a couple of mins he had one of his guys take my keys and had them inspect my car real quick before starting their morning jobs. I was completely blown away with such amazing customer service. They had me out of there with a new sticker in about 20 mins. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants superb customer service and the utmost respect and kindness to customers. Thank you again for getting my Toyota Avalon in with no notice. I am very thankful.
