Not a good car dealer. Left and right sending FedEx priority pieces of paper to me saying they forgot to have certain steps signed which in turn costed me time and money. When contacted about it they don’t really seem to care once the sale goes through and accept responsibility. The worst part is after buying the truck it had no gas in the tank and when I asked them about it they went and only put in a half tank. Man what a deal! You spend thousands through them and they only want to put 20$ in your tank just enough to get you out of their parking lot. Any dealer would make sure their vehicles for sale are cleaned, fueled and ready to go. What a joke.

They are very unprofessional charged me 20 for a key fobe battery when I just gave them 5000 for the car. Never acknowledged the inhouse warranty paid top dollars for everything that needed to get fixed. Wrong dates in paperwork and double charged me. They are the worst. Do not ever buy a car from them you will get disappointed

I used to praise this garage, and Romeo as a business. However…last summer I brought my truck in for rear brakes and rotors. Job was done. More recently, I lost all braking ability and fortunately I was able to crawl my truck into Warren Tire on Dix Ave. The shop manager called me and sent me pictures of what Carriage Traders did last summer. The CT mechanic twisted my brake line and left it impacting the interior of the he passenger side tire, so every time I’ve driven my full sized truck since last summer, the brake line has been impacting the tire, and the brake line burst. This could have had lethal consequences, not just for me be my family, but for other motorists as well. I called Carriage Traders, explained everything, and their only and best compensation was a $90 in store credit. And that offer only came after I got the run around from their staff. I requested to speak to the owner of the dealership and the garage and that was denied. I requested that the shop manager contact Warren Tire for a better explanation, and that was denied. The original job for the rear brakes and rotors was $700-$800 and the repair for Carriage Traders screw up was $330. And they only want to give compensation of $90 to be used at their shop that I won’t be returning to. Honestly it’s not the money. It’s the fact that THEY DO NOT CARE about the work they do, or if customers are safe and happy. If they twisted a brake line on my truck, they’re probably doing the same practice to others. And they act like they truly don’t care. Never again Romeo Auto Group / Carriage Teadwrs. My advice to others is simple…stay away from them.

Carrige Traders collision center had possession of my sons Honda HRV on December 4th after he slid off the northway and tore off his front bumper a few days prior. Was told he needed a radiator bracket and bumper replaced. Nothing was troubleshot or diagnosed in this claim pertaining to an airbag light. Was also told they would keep us updated on the progress of the repair. The only “update” (call) we ever received throughout this process was a payment question. A week passes and we didn’t hear a peep so we called to inquire on the status of the repair. We are told they don’t even know where the keys to his car are. How long were you going to wait to contact us about this issue while the car just sits? We dropped off another key to get the ball rolling and the tow truck driver took responsibility for and replaced the lost key in the meantime. Another few weeks pass now we are told they are done with the body work but can’t get the airbag light off. The airbag light was fine before the accident. The car still has an extended warranty through Honda so we would of worked it out with Honda beforehand if we had an airbag wiring issue or any issue for that matter. They send the car to Honda to have it diagnosed only to find out the airbag wiring was chewed by a mouse and a new harness would have to be installed. Now when do mice like cars the most? When they are sitting. They then try and submit a second claim (because they missed an airbag light after an accident the first time?) and then get denied by insurance. Should of put it in the first one but you couldn’t because it wasn’t an issue then was it? This is how I know they are dishonest. The airbag light wasn’t on from the accident or an issue before the accident or it would of been troubleshot and included in the original claim. This all happened after. It was not even trouble shot at Honda until the original claim was closed. This is clearly the result of the car sitting in their mouse infested junkyard not being touched for weeks on end. It’s now February 2nd literally two months later and we still have no car, the work is not complete and we have gotten nothing but the run around and they now want us to pay an additional $2300 to fix the airbag wiring harness. My wife and I have been completly inconvenienced bringing my son to his work every day for the last two months and accommodating a 20 year old during the holidays. Also it’s a Honda not a Mercedes, this repair should of took less than a month according to the appraiser. These parts are simple to get and it’s one of the easiest cars to work on. I actually would not recommend you bring your car there for free. And to address the generic comment you most likely will reply, no I will not call you to discuss this further, we are done here.

As a professional mechanic, I do not write negative reviews lightly. However, my experience with this dealership has been unacceptable from both a customer-service and technical standpoint, and I feel obligated to share it so others can make an informed decision. I purchased a truck from this dealer on December 27th. Within 10 minutes of driving it home, the engine bay was covered in antifreeze. I immediately returned the vehicle and was told the coolant was merely “residual” from a thermostat replacement. That explanation did not align with what I was seeing, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt. On the drive to work shortly after, the truck overheated. I returned it again and was told there was “air in the cooling system.” Once again, I was skeptical, but I picked up the truck. It overheated again on the next drive. On the third return, I insisted that an OEM thermostat be installed. I was met with resistance before finally being told—two days later—that an OEM thermostat would be installed and the truck would be ready the following Monday. When I picked the truck up, it was no longer overheating, but coolant was now pouring out. Upon returning it yet again, I was informed that the technician failed to remove the old gasket before installing the new thermostat and gasket—an error that should never occur in a professional service department. After this fourth visit, the truck finally appeared to be operating correctly. However, due to the repeated issues and my lack of confidence in the repairs, I paid $180 out of pocket to have the vehicle inspected by a Nissan dealership for peace of mind and the safety of my family. Thankfully, Nissan confirmed the truck was mechanically sound. That said, Nissan also discovered that the selling dealer left extremely dirty and neglected air filters in the vehicle. Additionally, I had to replace the windshield wipers myself. In total, after purchasing the truck, I was forced to spend additional money to correct items that should have been addressed prior to delivery. In under one month of ownership, this truck spent 15 days at the selling dealer. Between poor workmanship, repeated misdiagnoses, and out-of-pocket expenses, this experience fell far below industry standards. Based on my experience—as both a customer and a mechanic—I cannot recommend purchasing or servicing a vehicle at this dealership.

Worse Experience Ever !!! Talk to a Sales Member named Evan through text . He offered me 15k for my car and had me drive all the way from other side of Utica because he stated he could get me such a great deal . I get there and he offers me less than 5K . He even told me he would hold the car I was looking at till I got there . Got there he and he said sorry but I sold it on you he could have easily if texted me that it was no longer available for purchase . I drove a distance and while I was there he didn’t even show much interest showing me others he just opened the door of other vehicles and didn’t say nothing . When I tried asking about speaking to manager he brushed me off. When I got a hold of someone they told me they get multiple complaints about him which why is he still employed there than. I will be taking my business else where’s . I’d rather shop at a bigger well know dealership than a smaller family one like this one .

I purchased my first vehicle here and had an amazing experience. Evan helped me with finding the right vehicle for me. He was able to find me a car that met all of my needs and wants while staying in my budget. Evan was willing to commute to Saratoga to get me my Nissan. I was also grateful to have figured out all of my paperwork with them after hours. I will be coming back in the future if I’m ever in need for a new vehicle.

By far the worst experience Romeo carriage traders in South Glens Falls with buying a vehicle. I purchased a vehicle for my 17 year-old as the vehicles he previously owned was dumping money left and right and broke down all the time so with him graduating high school and having a full-time job, I said I think it’s time we go look for a better vehicle and helping him with more responsibilities . Well Car had some problems and things that needed to be fixed , sunroof wasn’t working (opening) Shifter boot was ripped and the Spare tire compartment had water in the back . As it was all things we knew before buying the vehicle and was written down on the paperwork before signing. And Dan, our salesman said it would all be fixed took his word for it. We’ve had the car for five weeks and it’s been nothing but a headache with talking from Service people who say that don’t do that kind of work ,to body shop to salesman to The manager a few times a day every week . Me being frustrated trying to talk to my salesman as he’s speaking over me after. I called and left a message for Jared the manager. He doesn’t call me back and has the salesman Dan call me back as I was trying to avoid speaking with him any further and in my frustration I swore in my conversation with him not at him And he said I will not tolerate it Told me I needed to listen to him And hung the phone up on me. This car has been to the shop 5 times . I have asked for a loaner vehicle from the dealership as I and my son need to get back-and-forth to work. I also asked that they fill my son‘s gas tank. I was told by salesman Dan that he would do that that has yet to happen.I was told that they don’t have one so we have to borrow or I have to get rides to my job. It’s there this week we get a call today It’s been there since Monday, the leak has been fixed that we can come and pick it up. My son and I show up to the shop (we live a half hour away) Pour water on top of the sunroof. Guess what water still pouring into the spare tire compartment . My son goes back into the body shop and says it’s still leaking. The guy looks at my son and says well it’s not raining. My son says I poured water over it and it’s still leaking… so two other guys come out start spraying water from a hose at the trunk Says to My son oh that’s just access water from us doing it earlier, so I said spray the hose on top of the sunroof… They then saw compartment was still leaking So the guy says he’s gonna have to keep it to go through it tomorrow another day if no vehicle . I feel so bad for my son and his first experience and purchasing a vehicle!! As you can see in the photos, it’s not just a small leak had we seen this when took it for test drive definitely wouldn’t have purchased the jeep

Was reccomend to this location by a coworker. I went in to look at a Sonata with great low mileage and price. When I got there I was immediately greeted by Jim Gallagher . Jim was friendly and easy to talk with. It turns out that someone had unfortunately just bought the car as he was going to get the keys for a test drive. That didn't slow Jim down much he immediately found a new option for me to check out with comparable low mileage and price range. Right away I was able to test drive the vehicle and it was in great shape. Their warranty packages seem like a great value as well hopefully I wont have to use it any time soon though. I will return here next time I need a vehicle.

I had the pleasure of working with Derek about a month ago and I have to say, it was the BEST experience I have ever had. Not only was he one of the most outgoing sales people I have worked with but he went above and beyond to make sure I got the car I wanted and make the process effortless. To get the payment I wanted with my trade Jared the Sales Manager worked his tail off without complaint and had a smile on his face the whole time. I have to say if it was not for these two I would not have come back to this place after my last experience. To Jared and Derek; my utmost thanks, I absolutely LOVE my new car, and I HIGHLY recommend dealing with you BOTH to anyone who walks through this door. You guys ROCK! 13/10 experience this time around.

Awesome experience and very friendly staff, especially Ranita! Kevin was also super helpful in comparing financing to our loan to make sure we had the best deal. Really worked with my wife and I on trading in a vehicle and helping us leave the same day with a 2015 Tacoma. The process was the quickest and easiest I’ve ever had buying a vehicle, and I would highly recommend this dealership. And the Tacoma was well detailed before we left the lot.

My Wife and Son were only suppose to look at used cars and the next thing I know the calling me to set up the insurance. The walked out with a 2017 Santa Fe. We had a little problem with the SUV the first day but they took care of it right the spot. Ranita was very professional and friendly. She makes you feel like your part of the family. I would recommend carriage trader to everyone. Very pleased and will be back to buy my car.
