Rodaks save our behinds last weekend. We were driving up from the city in the area and noticed on the way back home that the undercarriage pan had come loose and we could not reattach it into place because it was so heavy. We brought the care here just 1/2 hour before closing suspecting a bigger problem and then took us right away with a smile. Turns out that, not only was the pan loose but it was packed with about 30lbs of compacted ice and snow that had been accumulating from the week prior. They defrosted it, removed it and sent us on our way with good conversation. So grateful. Guys like these are hard to come by these days.
I was visiting a friend nearby and realized that one of my axle nuts was coming loose. I called up Rodaks and they immediately helped me take care of the issue. Everyone I interacted with was friendly and helpful. Thanks again!
Never had a bad experience with this place. The bays are almost always filled with work trucks, which is the equivalent to a taxi mechanic in the city. A very good sign that they are reliable and know exactly what they're doing here.
Truly incredible service. I called to ask about getting a pre-buy inspection of a used car I was thinking of purchasing. They got me in same day, within a short window, and put the car up on the lift to give it a thorough check. John spent more than 30 min meticulously looking over the car, and explaining in a patient, respectful way what he was seeing and would be concerned about if he were purchasing the car. Then he took us on a test drive and diagnosed several issues with the car by feel or sound. He gave us his professional assessment without judgment or pressure to follow his advice-- and then he wouldn't take any money for any of the time or expertise!! Just said "Just be safe. Glad we could help." I was blown away by his obvious skill, knowledge, and honesty matched with such kindness and generosity. If I lived closer, John would be my go-to mechanic for everything. Highly recommend.
Helped get my old Range Rover back on the road. Wasn't an easy job with the parts being hard to get - but they got it done eventually. Great pricing for a quality job.

Sure enough they took my car right in had it on the lift and removed the pebble. They were all so pleasant and they didn't charge me. A great family business .
My husband and I were on a trip and started having car trouble and called Rodaks to see if they could take us asap, they happily said yes. Upon arrival they were immediately kind and helpful. They fixed the problem and ensured that the car was running great. Amazing work! We definitely recommend them to anyone!!
When my Jeep Cherokee decided to throw its exhaust after a camping trip nearby, I called five or six different places before I found Rodak's (it was a Saturday and the Hudson area is just...not a place to get a car repaired on a weekend). Colleen told me to come on over, and after the tow dropped off my car they got me welded back together same day, even while busy. John and his crew of mechanics were kind and attentive the entire time.
It was clear from their interactions not just with me but with everyone coming and going that they care about their customers, the quality of their work, and establishing repeat business (they're on a first name basis with many of their local customers I noticed!). If I didn't live so far off in Brooklyn, they'd be the family doctor for my car.
All i know is that they are kind and courteous people. My car was towed here by order of police but the tow yard was as cooperative as it possible. Just said go ahead do what you have to do they didnt stare me down or have an attitude at all. Im definately keeping there number
I am beyond greatful for Rodaks. I had a dangerous emergency as I was driving upstate and they agreed to take care of my car same day on a Saturday. They explained everything throughly and were very fair and reasonable in pricing. I called about 8 other places that should have been open, but Rodaks were the only shop to answer and help. I highly recommend them and will use them again if I ever need a repair while driving upstate.
These folks are fantastic, Our transmission broke on our work truck. Called them up, dropped off, they fixed. No Drama. Truck runs great. We use them all the time. Can't recommend them enough!!!
