I absolutely love this location. Every time I go hear and require assistance they are so helpful. I recently went for leak and "google" walked me through what I needed to do. This is only one of the reasons I go hear.
Beckerle Lumber in Haverstraw is one of those rare hardware stores that truly takes care of its customers. The staff here go above and beyond to make sure you find exactly what you need, whether it’s for a small home project or a bigger renovation. They’re knowledgeable, patient, and always willing to offer advice that actually helps not just make a sale. You can tell they take pride in their service and community. It’s refreshing to walk into a place where good customer service still matters.
I asked if they could rip a long piece of wood but instead of just telling me no, I was ridiculed and heard the people behind the counter making comments about me as I left.
The prices are ok, and the young kids working in the back are friendly, however the people behind the counter are so rude and condescending, I will never spend my money there again.
I am writing to express my disappointment with the store in Haverstraw. My husband and I went to inquire about some lumber to do a project we have at our home and the service was horrible from the employees they were very dismissive when we asked questions. They said the person we have to speak to was on lunch. No given time to return to speak to him or speak with anyone else.
I work in customer service and my husband works in sales for hardware department and we give the utmost customer service. Clearly we weren’t given the best customer service from your entity. The representative was sitting clipping her finger nails while we asked questions and she just kept saying I don’t know instead of finding someone who could answer the questions.
It saddens me to have to write to a very well known company in my town and give such a disappointing complaint. I just feel some customers should be treated alittle better when they enter an establishment.

I love this place I have alot of projects around my house and got everything from here. What I enjoy the most was the help I got from the paint area,they know how to make it a great experience I would recommend anyone to go there
I will not give this place business anymore. After working in brooklyn all day in 85 degree humid weather I rushed home 51 miles so I could pick up 1 piece of drywall and some copper for a bathroom remodel project. I walked in the store after battling traffic thankfull that I made it at 4:40 with 20 minutes to spare knowing they close at 5pm. I delliberitely drove past home depot that also sells what I need because I believe its important to shop locally. I asked the woman at the sales counter if they had copper and she replied "only short pieces" so then I asked if they had drywall and her response is " you have to come back tomorrow our yard closes at 4:30". I responded and asked" cant ya just help me out I just fought traffic to make it here on time and it doesnt say anywhere online that your yard closes early" she said "Maybe Ill mention that that should be changed online. So much for supporting small business, thanks for the added aggrivation and the polite (f you ) attitude towards your customers.
I make a stop here because of all the positive reviews I’m in the market for new kitchen cabinets so I figure I come to get a quote. I take a walk to there showroom and go inside I walk all around the showroom I take my time to get acknowledged and I guess I’m not dress for the occasion cause I didn’t get a hello or anything ?? Yes I know they were busy with there with there 2 customers. I was a little uncomfortable that the whole time I’m walking in the store I felt my money wasn’t good enough.
Very good customer service. The guys there are so helpful, knowledgeable, thorough and patient. We would go there for all our hardware needs. The products are also high quality; we got paint and paint supplies.
Guys behind the paint department are top notch. Friendly and super responsive. Always get a quality customer service when I buy paint. The lumber department on the other hand is miserable. The energy behind that counter is lacking and void of any customer appreciation. I've been going to lumber yards for over 25 years now and when I have to go there the experience is dreadful.

when you get to the counter and obviously you forgotten one thing they help you out and say hey you sure you don’t need this
big box stores like Lowe’s and Home Depot don’t provide that kind of service
We just finished renovating our kitchen and we dealt with Sam at your Haverstraw location. Sam couldn't have been more helpful. He designed our kitchen and making changes was never an issue. He would always say "anything you want to try Its not a problem." The kitchen came out better than we hoped with much thanks to Sam
Best lumber yard in rockland no question about it but lately there inventory has been slacking. I do not like to travel to Home Depot or Lowe’s.
I was there this week, found everything I needed this time around, but the gentleman in the back with the dreads would not get off the phone. I had to load the cement bags all by myself.
When you need something quick for you house intead to go to home Depot . everything you need for u house.paint.lumber,pluming,etc.in the heart of town.I recommend it.
Sam assisted us in designing our new kitchen island and ordered the cabinets required for the project. We couldn't be happier with the final result. Excellent service and products!
