Called 5 times at least today - better not ask for proof coz I have all the calls. they said they had the part. Sent a friend to pick it up and guy says he will have it on Monday .
Drove here after calling Kevin on his personal number which he wasn't available to answer, but business is closed for Thanksgiving. I could be driving on the way to the mechanic in The Bronx to install one rotor until I find another. This was a disappoing, I saw another showed it behind me and left.

After going to several mechanics and a master mechanic who cannot figure it out, he referred me to a good friend of his to take one final look. If that does not work, he is willing to work with me to get it resolved another way.

I have been buying parts for over 25 years, and have never had such a bad experience. I bought a sunroof that was damage not working. I called them to tell them that the sunroof they sent was damaged, and it took them one month to pick up the part. Two months later, they tried to send me a check with restocking fee of 25% on a damaged part. Still waiting for the check
Excellent parts, amazing service, and they go above and beyond! The parts were in excellent shape. They even helped me carry the parts into my car. Highly recommend!

I recently visited Ace Auto Salvage to pick up a used ECU for my 2011 Nissan Sentra SL, and overall, it was a solid experience. As a first-time junkyard visitor, I was impressed with how smooth everything went. I called ahead, confirmed they had the part, and when I arrived at their location on Castleton Ave, the staff was friendly and efficient. They checked their system, had the ECU ready in about 10 minutes, and I was in and out quickly after paying. The customer service was top-notch—everyone was professional and easy to deal with, which made the process stress-free.
The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that the ECU I ordered for my 2011 Sentra turned out to be from a 2012 model. I went over all the specs with them, but my mechanic noticed the model year difference during installation. It was reprogrammed and works fine for now, but I’m a bit worried about potential compatibility issues down the road. That aside, Ace has a great setup, fair prices, and a solid inventory. I’m planning to buy a transmission from them soon and would recommend them to others—just double-check the part details. Great people and a reliable spot for auto parts!
Summary: they dont pay much attention to look for the exact part thats listed on their website. Instead, offer similar ones. So dont believe their webpage and on phone confirmations.
Sad to say that i had a bad experience with them twice. I checked their online website for a stock part, then called in to check if they really have it, upon arrival they said they dont have the exact stock part and offered another one which was a beaten up part. I still took it to try my luck as i needed it urgent. Went to mechanic and mechanic rejected it. I went again to their site to find other options and found another one called in and asked them to double check, giving reference to last time experience. They confirmed they had it. So i drove again to find out they dont have that part and offered another beaten up. I ended up returning the originally purchased item.
Ace Auto Salvage definitely has the best quality. I needed to replace my rear door and glass. Jose, was super helpful and very knowledgeable. Great customer service! I highly recommend this place.
What a great group of people that work at Ace!!! I was looking for a part for my older car and didn’t want to pay an arm and a leg and Ace auto salvage delivered! From the very 1st phone call right down to walking in the door I was treated with respect; kindness and professionalism!! There's a guy working in the parts department who is so rude like dude if you hate your job then look for Something Else. I called to see if they had a truck in stock and he began to speak over me very aggressively muttered something and abruptly and put me on hold for like 5 minutes. I called back and got some one else (i think his name was Nick) who was more helpful. You no longer had the truck which is fine but the other man answering the phone need to be in charge of stocks and far away from customer interactions.
Very rude customer service the person who my my boyfriend was dealing with was being difficult. He ordered parts at first and was going to pick them up. When he decided to change it to deliver to a shop representative was being super difficult not wanting to deliver the parts to another location which is a SHOP. He gave him a lot of issues and refusing to deliver the parts. Because of that I ended up renting a uhaul van and then pay Uber to return home. The inconvenience and the customer service they provided they made the process so difficult I got furious. By the time I got there I really wanted them to deliver to the SHOP but instead the guy said you already have the van deliver deliver it yourself. The parts guys said we could've deliver it for you for only $5. The guy who was dealing with my boyfriend was just some rude lazy person being difficult not wanting to do anything. I will tell him to not go through these guys anymore.
FYI your response makes no sense saying deliver it to a 3rd party when it's a shop. Whoever decided to respond back to me. It's not me hashing. It's the truth what happened. You guys don't want to take responsibility for your actions but decide to put it on me. I read your other responses you give a number to resolve this issue instead you want to chicken out and say im bashing at you. You guys are in the wrong i called up my autobody shop and they said you guys deliver to shop but wouldn't do it for me. Enough said the people at the autobody shop told me the same issues they had with you guys. Bunch of irresponsible crooks.
Ace is where to go for all your auto parts needs! Rob recently helped me get a sideview mirror for my Audi, but it doesn't matter who helps you; the whole team is superb. Competitive pricing, stellar service, and really great people. They can find anything for you, and ship everywhere. You won't be disappointed!
Extremely pleasant experience working with them to pick up a vehicle from my property, even though I wasn't home. The driver and the admin people provided very clear instructions, and the driver called at the appointed time to confirm details over the phone. Definitely recommended.
Ace Auto Salvage had the door we needed at a reasonable price. The door was scratch free, arrow straight, an exact color match and all of the electrical components were intact and operational. We had our vehicle back on the road and looking perfect the next day! Ace Auto Salvage will be our go to from now on.
My son recently purchased a used car for the first time, however the driver side door needed to be replaced. So we were hunting for a replacement that wouldn’t break the bank. Ace auto salvage was a life safer, we were able to walk in and get exactly what we needed to fix his car. With the help of Rob, we got a door that was the exact match to his car. I only give this place two stars because it's convenient when paying cash and there parts are usually good quality. Now they got this idiotic policy where you need 2 ID proofs to use a credit card at this location. I really don't understand how they want us to walk around with our passport, Driver license and credit card just to process a $150 dollar transaction. When I go there myself there is no problem processing the transaction. When I sent my friend of darker skin color, all of a sudden the people behind the desk are worried about credit card fraud. It is 2024 and if you as a business cannot figure out how to efficiently and effectively process credit cards. Do not bother to get into commerce especially in the car business. TIME IS MONEY
Giving this place a 1 star rating is to generous. They have the worst customer service I have ever had to experience in my life. You will have one person tell you they have something, then when you go there it’s crickets who did you speak to? we don’t have that. The amount of times you just have to call back to check for a simple part because these rude people will just hang up on you for no reason while you are in the middle of talking is insane. Don’t waste time with this place, plenty of other businesses that are 1,2,3 with no problems.
