Rock Tavern Equestrian Center has exceeded every expectation for our family. Since Sophia began riding here, the love, patience, and encouragement she has received have been incredible. Her trainer, Dolores, is truly one of a kind. She meets each rider exactly where they are, and her ability to adapt, support, and empower Sophia is six years old considering her limb difference has been nothing short of amazing. Dolores never focuses on limitations, only on possibilities, and that mindset has given our daughter confidence that carries far beyond the ring. The sense of community here is something special. The owners, staff, trainers, and families are warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind. This is a place where children are cheered on, supported, and celebrated. Being part of the show team has helped Sophia grow in confidence, independence, and pride, and watching her thrive in this environment has been such a gift as a parent.

Our daughter Sophia has been riding and taking lessons at Rock Tavern Equestrian Center since January 2024, we can honestly say it has become so much more than just a barn to us it feels like family. From day one, the entire team has gone above and beyond to support Sophia, especially her trainer Dolores. Dolores is truly exceptional. She has an incredible gift for teaching, encouraging, and believing in her riders. She has been especially amazing working with Sophia’s limb difference, always finding thoughtful, creative, and empowering ways to help her ride confidently and safely while never limiting what she believes Sophia can achieve. The patience, care, and dedication she shows are truly rare. Being part of the show team has given Sophia so much confidence, pride, and a sense of belonging. And only being 6 years old ! Watching her grow not just as a rider, but as a confident young girl has been one of the greatest gifts this barn has given our family. The owners and staff are welcoming, kind, and genuinely invested in every child and family. Everyone is friendly, supportive, and loving, creating an environment where children feel safe, encouraged, and celebrated. You can feel the heart that goes into this place the moment you walk in. My very highest recommendations for Rock Tavern Equestrian Center! RTEC is a fantastic place to go for horse boarding, riding and interacting with a great community of fellow horse fans. Management is professional, care is both gentle and impeccable and staff goes above and beyond. Lessons are available in beginners, hunter/jumper, dressage and natural horsemanship with highly competent and kind instructors. Add to that a fun supportive group of junior and adult riders that band together for various fun events and more serious showing. RTEC is one of very few truly multi-disciplinary facilities in the area, with both a great jumping set up and dedicated dressage days. Of course, my happy horses are the true judge of a great place to be. Two thumbs up, say Cabba & Luna!!
