So even if you call these clowns ahead of time to get a price and ask them a few questions apparently they don't have the patience for it and hang up on you I would shop for someplace else with that kind of attitude you know they're going to rip you off!
A bunch of rip off people, if I I could have given it zero stars I would have according to ChatGPT for a 4 ton complete central air condition broken down I should’ve gotten between $170-$300. He had the nerve to give me 60 will never go there again..
Love this place. It a really good feeling dropping off scraps and getting some money back. Standing in the yard and looking at all the stuff is amazing. Knowing its all going to be reused.
Terrible experience at County Metal Yard Inc in New Hampton, NY. Rude owner offered just $1 for over $100 worth of scrap metal. Avoid this place at all costs!
By the way, I went to a different place a few miles down the road and was offered $130.00 for my scrap. …. Interesting…?

They pay good and fair prices for non ferrous metals and I walked away with over a couple hundred bucks for some copper brass and batteries!
I didn’t know why some consider them rude cause they’re very friendly and jovial! I get angry easily lol. I felt like they knew me by the way they treated me.

The best scrap place hands down best service, best prices. Local kind guys always helping don’t rip anybody off. Owner likes to mess with me sometimes but all in good fun you know. Take your scrap here!
Best place to turn in your scrap, 2/3 guys helped me right away, helped me, correction, they even let me help them sort the truck full of metal I brought in so I could get the highest dollar amount. Polite, fast, and knowledgeable.

This place is so awful I made this google account just to share my experience with the public. Showed up with a dump trailer that had over 1 ton of Ferris steel. Young kid came out with an attitude and offered me $20. Wanting to just get rid of it I agreed and asked where I could back and dump my dump trailer. Then I was informed I would have to personally hand load my trailers contents into their tiny hoppers(the trailer was entirely steel, nothing to separate). Thinking this guy must be out of his mind I chuckled and was told to have a nice day. Hoped in my truck and drove to Zittos and was scaled, dumped the trailer contents on the ground whereby a machine loaded it and I walked out with several hundred dollars. This place is an absolute joke go to Zitos you will thankful you did.
I went here last week and was surprised how honest they were. I weighed my scrap on a certified scale before going there. They gave me exactly what it was worth. The manager Vinny , and his assistant were both friendly and helped unload my stuff. I would go there again to sell my scrap.
I went to County Metal Yard and they only offered me $5 dollars for a Catalytic Converter because it was aftermarket! I was expecting at least 40 or 50 dollars from my online research, I was so insulated that I left the Cat there and did not take the money...bottom line you want "TOP DOLLAR" for your metal go somewhere else! ??
