These guys there are busier than hell all the time for a reason. Very competent, friendly service from people in the business for a very long time. We brought our Subaru in for tires and got 4 new tires, a new ball joint (free because it was under warranty according to them) and they fixed my engine compartment lid. I would never go anywhere else. Very fair prices.
As much as I wish I could give this place a 5 star rating, to support a local shop, I can’t. Came for an alignment for my car. The results on the alignment sheets weren’t all green, so I came back the next day to follow up on this and clarify this. I thought maybe there are certain reasons why the results are as they are. All I was seeking is a professional and responsible explanation of the results.
A bit older guy, that could be an owner, seeming to be the one answering the phone and welcoming customers, immediately weren’t happy by the very fact I was asking about the alignment sheet. I came up respectfully asking about things I need clarification about, and told about it. He immediately threw at me “Yeah, I could tell you aren’t an alignment guy”. When he started to try to explain the alignment sheet to me, I realized he himself doesn’t know how to read it. “Are you questioning the alignment?”, he asked with the offended tone. When trying to explain the alignment sheet to me, he himself didn’t even know where the “before” and where the “after” results are - he actually pointed at them in an opposite way. He pointed at the right front camber, that’s -0.6 red, and showed through the caster and toe, and said that “they started from Camber that was red, and went down to the green Toe, so in the end it’s all green”, even though these are the 3 different places on the wheel, 3 different measurements. I just felt like he tried to give me some lousy made-up explanation just to get rid of me, and his overall attitude was rude and unfriendly. So, not only he didn’t know how to read the sheet, and instead of calling somebody knowledgeable immediately, he tried to explain something he doesn’t have much clue about himself. So, a professional with supposed large experience in the field could not clearly and properly decipher such a basic thing as an alignment sheet - it was immediately concerning to me. How can I trust anything this person says further, or in the future, regarding other matters, if I ever come with some other issue on my car?
In addition, the receptionist claimed that the rear toe can’t be adjusted on my car, whereas upon my research I found that there is an eccentric bolt with a lock washer on the same side, that is easy to adjust, for my model of the car. So, the rear could be adjusted. As to why it wasn’t, maybe there was a legitimate explanation, maybe the bolt on my car is rusty or something - but I wasn’t let known about that. One thing to say is “it can be adjusted but your bolt is rusty so it’s not worth the risk trying to adjust it”, and just simply throwing “it can’t be adjusted on your car”. So in the end I left wondering what my exact situation was. I felt like I was treated quite lousy as for the information I was given by them.
A younger guy came by and calmly and respectfully explained to me the possible reasons of the results of the alignment. I could tell he knows what he talks about and knows how to read the sheet. Most importantly, he was respectful and reasonable, and I appreciated that.
This place charges higher than average for the alignment in my area, and I came to them because they’re closer to my home, and I was ready to pay a bit more to support a local shop and save some time for myself as well. But given such a rude and unfriendly attitude I received by asking legitimate questions I have a right to ask, in a friendly and polite manner, I don’t know if I could ever be back. There are places like Ulee’s Truck Repair and Tom’s Automotive in Port Jervis that have always been professional, reasonable and friendly, answer any questions politely and fully, and always professionally clarify everything.
I wish this place can learn to respect the paying customers, and at least take time and patience to explain the quesitons the customers might have.

I noticed that to drive straight I still have to hold the steering wheel a tad to the right, after the alignment was made here.
I work outside NYC and go home in PA about 30 north of Scranton. Feb 5th around 5:30pm, dark and rainy. I hit a deer on RT1. My 2014 F150 was towed to Cuddebackville Service center which was 95 miles from home. I was going to have my body shop fix it due to logistics. However my insurance company said it was too far for them to transport and I would need to be there at the shop for AAA to transport my truck which wasn’t possible. So while I had nothing against Cuddlebackville Service, I was kind of stuck. All I can say is the quality of work was excellent! Dave the body shop manager was extremely pleasant to work with. He was friendly, kept in regular contact with me on repairs. Everything went smoothly. I can’t say enough about my positive experience. If they were closer, they’d have a customer for life.
I just wanted to thank Jesse and John for getting my baby back on the road. Unexpected transmission failure and headache dealing with the dealer. .. My experience with this business has been nothing but pleasant, and I am ecstatic to have my car back. Fair pricing and updated throughout the repair. Without hesitation, I will gladly return for any unexpected car issues and maintenance knowing my car is in good, honest hands. THANK YOU CUDDEBACKVILLE SERVICE CENTER !!!

This is the place to go. Cuddebackville Automotive is excellent. John the owner is very cool and does extremely good work. He goes above and beyond. Just this weekend i had a problem with my 2001 Jeep XJ and even though he was closed he told me to come on by. He’s towed me on the weekends before and is always very fair on the price. We are from out of town. In July we had a motorcycle crash into our car at Hawks Nest and it was towed here. Our insurance totaled the car. The employees of this service center were extremely knowledgable and helpful.
I brought my car in for replacing break pads and rotors. I was happy with their professional and trustworthy service, reasonably priced. The owner John is super nice. We were running late, he was still waiting at the shop for us to pick my car up after business hours. Thank you John!
A deer and I had a mishap. Cuddebackville Service Center towed and repaired the car on time and within budget. Car looks and rides like new. Easy to work with and kept me informed the whole time. Highly recommend.
Super unimpressed with the service and communication with this place. I tried coming to get my car which was towed there and the owner didn’t answer the phone and then tried charging me $500 for having left the car there until he got in touch. Rudely hung up the phone and didn’t help me in my very stressful situation.
Best shop in the area to have work on or tow your vehicle, very reasonable prices and very trustworthy shop, only place I call when i need a tow or take my vehicles to if I can't fix them
We had an accident and had to get one of our cars towed. John and his family provided such a great level of customer service! They made our process with the tow, customer service, and insurance very easy and smooth.
You can tell that they are good and honest people with a great personality and awesome level of customer service.

Very happy with the repairs so far to my vehicle after an unfortunate accident. I live close by but never needed to use them before. But I am happy they are so close to me and they seem to do a really good job. Dave and the staff are very friendly and they seem to care about what they do. I'd definitely recommend them and will use them again.
No appointment is required, I arrived at 9:00 in the morning, and the vehicle inspection started at 9:05 and was completed quickly by 9:20. Pay $21, very efficient manufacturer, recommend it to everyone.
Happy to have this place so close to my home. Uhaul rental was very nice, rented a trailer. Went back for an inspection on my truck. They do inspections Monday to Friday between 9am and 10am, very organized and professional ? workers are pleasant.

John drove up to Adirondacks to tow our Outback to their service center, told us he had a blown motor similar Outback that had good quality suspension replacement parts. Our vehicle was repaired; we are very satisfied. Have been satisfied for almost 30 years.

Very happy with the service. Not only did the owner give me straight answers on the phone right away but he took it in the same day and fixed it while saving me a couple hundred dollars. As a bonus he gave us spare parts for a project I'm working on with my kids.....
We had a front wheel bearing fail on our ride home from our camping trip to Vermont. We were spending the night at Oakland Valley Campground just up the road from this shop. The crew at this old school shop picked up the truck from the campground and got us back on the road later that same day. I can’t thank them enough for helping us out and keeping the fun and adventure going.
Worst place I've ever dealt with. Over charged my insurance company, the car was not fixed properly, brought it back and spent hours for them to fix what they screwed up. Missing parts, wrong headlight, door lock not working. Now front end clunking and shifting transmission isn't right. I don't trust them to do anymore to rectify. Stay away from this place.
I hit a deer, 11,000 dollars later and now I'll have to come out of pocket even more to fix my jeep.
By the way, this place is NOT Clean. Don't take my word for it. Just walk in there and see for yourself.
In July 2019, we were traveling with our Fifth Wheel stopped to get gas and truck died at the gas tank. Cuddebackville Service Center came to our rescue and had us back on the road in 2 hours. The staff were knowledgeable and hospitable. Thanks to Cuddebackville Service Center our vacation was not a disaster!
