Edwards Tow was dispatched by police after my son hit a deer, and the experience was absolutely unacceptable.
The driver refused to take the vehicle to the auto body shop we requested, which is family-owned. He claimed it was due to “insurance reasons,” which we later confirmed is simply not true. When I called the next morning for clarification, I was given a completely different excuse—that they couldn’t be sure the shop would be open. It was 1:30 AM. Of course it wasn’t open. That didn’t stop them from taking the car somewhere else without our consent.
I was then told they had to wait for an insurance adjuster before moving the vehicle—another false statement. At no point were we given a legitimate or consistent explanation.
To make matters worse, when the owner of our preferred auto body shop called to resolve the issue, they were treated disrespectfully and even hung up on. Later, Edwards Tow claimed they didn’t have a driver available to move the vehicle at all—which is highly questionable given the circumstances.
Ultimately, the body shop we originally requested had to arrange their own transportation to retrieve the car.
This entire situation felt predatory, misleading, and completely unprofessional. The driver gave the impression that if we pushed back any further, he would have been perfectly fine leaving my son and his vehicle stranded on the side of the road.
Do not use this company. Even if you are told you have to, question it. You have the right to choose where your vehicle goes.
After speaking with a few community members about this situation no one was surprised as this seems to be the known behavior and business practices of this company.
Go to any other tow place!!! This place has the most rude staff especially the lady in the front who thinks she can do whatever she wants absolutely terrible people and will empty your pockets
DO NOT CALL THIS PLACE FOR A EMERGENCY TOW. Police Had my vehicle towed there from a accident and it sat there for 2 days due to being in the hospital and they charged me $1200 release it and they charged $125 just for a 2’x3’ plastic sheet they put on my windshield saying “it was to protect my vehicle from the rain” when I got my vehicle it was still soaked. EVEN THE COP ON SCENE SAID THAT 1200 for that tow was way too much. CALL ANYONE BUT THIS PLACE
