I got an unexpected flat tire this morning and Geico Roadside Assistance sent out Bill’s Towing to replace my flat tire. They were there in half an hour, and I was back on the road in no time! Only ended up being an hour late to work, which is great, considering I also needed a jump.

They are happy to tow your vehicle but are pretty rude at the front desk when you ask simple questions. They are also ridiculously expensive. There is a thing called professionalism and peoplesoft skills. None of which exist by the ride lady answering the phone. If you're that miserable at your job, leave. Look at the other reviews, I'm not making this up. (Just my humble opinion).

They are good in answering the calls and placing on the schedule but we had a delayed response and delayed arrival for getting a Towing service. If you have business card American Express card they do not take that. I asked first before placing the service that do you take Amex and guy said yes but then I found they do not so thank you for your help for giving us towing service but it could be better with accepting all cards and coming on time as you mentioned…

Today was quite challenging for me as I unexpectedly got a flat tire. I visited Costco on Old Country Road hoping to replace it, but they didn't have the tire in stock. Thankfully, Mavis Tires, just 3 miles away, confirmed they had it available. However, upon arrival, the manager informed me that the last one had been sold. Feeling stranded, I was fortunate that my insurance company arranged for a towing service to pick me and my car up. The driver from the towing company was absolutely amazing - incredibly professional and prompt. He not only rescued me swiftly but also drove me back home safely. I am deeply grateful for their exceptional service and efficiency during a stressful time. I highly recommend this towing company to anyone in need.

When my car broke down I was so nervous. I was alone. When the tow came the nicest guy George arrived.He was so personable, safe etc. Made sure I was good before he left. He made me feel comfortable during the entire ride. We had a nice conversation. If your gnna break down hope that George is around !! Thanks

Recently I experienced a breakdown with my Harley Davidson. GEICO roadside sent Bills towing. A young man named Lester responded. Lester positively hit this one right out of the park. This hard working young man loaded my bike and had it expertly strapped down in no time at all. I have to say thanks to Lester and the folks at Bills towing for doing a great job getting my Wideglide safely to the repair shop. Without hesitation I'd recommend this company to anyone to haul anything. I have not been paid in any way for this review. Henry.

Tonight my car broke down and Bill’s towing saved the day. The best part of the experience was our driver George. His timing was prompt, he was a skillful driver and a good guy. He got my wife and I home safely and went above and beyond to get us into the lot where we had to drop our car. Highly recommend. Thank you George!

This business is beyond excellent. Rayvon from Bills Towing is a great worker with excellent characteristics. He has great communication skills and knows how to make the customer happy. I will definitely be using Bills Towing for any future car troubles.

I only waited 30 minutes for tow truck to arrive, the tow truck driver, Nestor was great! He’s super knowledgeable, helpful, and respectful. He’s an overall good person. Honestly, I was very lucky to get Nestor. He really made my entire experience much less stressful.

AWFUL. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! Read the other accurate negative reviews. They gave my mother the runaround. SO many problems. They dropped off the car at the auto shop without alerting the auto shop. They were rude and unprofessional. They were unhelpful. And when mentioned to a trusted car mechanic shop owner, he shook his head saying he’s heard terrible things from many people about them. Again, AVOID AVOID AVOID. They owe a huge apology and need new ownership/management. They may have been around a while, but as we raise awareness of their shoddy business practices, they hopefully won’t be much longer.

I recently had an incredibly disheartening encounter with Bill's Towing, and I feel compelled to share my experience to warn others. If I could assign negative stars, I certainly would. The ordeal began when my friend's car broke down near the parkway exit, and Triple A directed us to contact Bill's for assistance in the area. The initial interaction with the individual on the phone was nothing short of shocking. Right from the outset, the person was exceptionally cold and exhibited a level of rudeness I've rarely encountered. Moreover, he adamantly refused to let my friend express the situation, abruptly ending the call without addressing our concerns. To make matters worse, the individual insisted on referencing a supposed earlier call from my friend, a claim that was entirely false. This episode left a distinct impression that Bill's Towing operates with a complete disregard for customer satisfaction. It appears they exploit their franchise rights to take advantage of those who find themselves in need of their services. It is utterly appalling that Bill's Towing holds a virtual monopoly in the area, leaving customers with limited alternatives. Fortunately, we managed to find an alternative solution and avoid resorting to their services. In conclusion, I strongly advise others to steer clear of Bill's Towing. Their lack of concern for customers and apparent exploitation of their dominant position in the market make them a company to avoid at all costs.

had a very bad accident and had to choose a random towing company to take our car. Couldn’t take as many things as everyone in the car was taken to the hospital but very vividly remember what was left behind. Turns out them poor folks need to steal a watch left inside the console along with the charger. Plus expensive golf hats that they desperately wanted. Don’t use their service if possible, AVOID AT ALL COST. very rude service and disgusting amount of time wasted here.

Got my car towed from this company last week. Their truck driver George was a delight to be around since I was beyond pissed on my car breaking down on me when I really needed it. He came nice and quick and got me home nice and quick. Good company and fair pricing. Thanks!

0 stars. This company takes advantage of people who have gone through life-threatening and traumatizing situations. After a car accident on the highway, Bill's Towing brought our totaled car to their lot around 6p. The tow truck driver was kind and advised us that would be the cheapest option. The next day, the lady at the front desk would not tell us the cost over the phone even when we persisted that we needed to know how much cash to bring. We had another tow truck service pick up the car before noon. Bill's charged us over a $1000 to tow the car 7.4 miles and keep it in their lot for less than 24 hours. The lady at the front desk was vaping, made no eye contact, minimal conversation and copied the name incorrectly from the Driver's ID on the paperwork.... The itemized bill included $380 for the tow, $75 for a yard fee, $100 for admin fee, $100 for a piece of plastic to cover the hood, $125 cleaning fee, $50 for 24 hour storage, and $125 for tow out (a service that the second tow truck company provided). Roadside assistance doesn't even cover a tenth of the fee. The second tow truck company was appalled at the cost and called Bill's to speak to management. Even though I had validation from another tow truck industry professional, Bill's did not no anything to rectify the situation. The lady at the front desk and management have no class or empathy. Do not use this company.

The most rude, unprofessional and disrespectful towing company I have dealt with. Would like to give 0 star if it would be possible. The front desk lady has zero idea about customer service, she gave me attitude over the phone when I asked a few questions and then had a very nasty attitude when I went in person. She was attending a customer before me and the way she spoke to him was so disrespectful and disgusting. I wonder why she is being allowed to deal with customers with that nasty attitude. Probably because they don’t have people who would want to work with that lady. My insurance company also mentioned how rude she is and hopes that they never have to deal with her and this company again. Hope she gets some training on how to talk to customers and whatever stuck up reason she has for being so nasty, gets resolved. The only reason I had to deal with her nonsense was because the cops got our car towed by that company. Honestly, I’m not sure how are they are still in business with such poor customer service.

This place is extremely unprofessional. The woman who works the front desk has a nasty attitude every time me or anyone in my company has tried to communicate with her; she was either condescending, impatient, or just flat out rude for no reason at all. Secondly, they are unclear about their own policies. I’ve been told many different things regarding a single vehicle, making it extremely difficult to remove the vehicle from their premises. They give you a big run around just to try to keep your vehicle overnight and charge you extra. There’s always a new rule or “policy” every time I’m prepared to take my vehicle that prevents them from doing so, instead of just telling me what I need to know from the beginning. They are very sneaky and not cordial at all, especially the lady at the front desk who very clearly hates her job. I arrived at 2:30pm, 2 and a half hours before their posted closing times (although they are also a 24 hour service) and was told it is too late to pick up the vehicle for the day and would have to return the next day. This was a shock since I made sure to ask if anytime before 3pm was appropriate and they confirmed. They roadside assistance was quick and easy, but once they are in possession of your vehicle it’s game over. They can tell you anything they want and keep it, since they have an agreement with State Police. Any accident that happens in Nassau County is under their jurisdiction and I think that’s why they feel they can get away with this behavior. Please do better as a business, or at least hire people that aren’t rude and won’t speak to customers rudely. Some customers don’t know what to do in a situation after an accident and may have questions, it shouldn’t be a burden for you to answer those questions. If that IS a burden, perhaps you shouldn’t be working in a public facing environment.

After I discovered my car had a flat tire, I called my roadside assistance for help. They said it might take a while, but Bill's Towing showed up in less than 10 minutes. The driver was extremely nice and helped me problem solve for where I should bring my car. I highly recommend.

He has rules and regulations no other tow company has he closes the yard at 4 so he can charge more fees. I went in and paid with a card due to surgery I could not go back and wanted them to charge the same card. They did not know how to do it. The had no cash app or zell.they close early on Saturdays and are closed on Sunday but charge for these days too. He could not explain why the tow truck picking it up had to have a medallion. A non crotchety business man would have offered to have his truck move the vehicle to the next destination

I had gotten into a fender bender on the highway and was unfortunate enough to have had my car taken to Bill's towing. This company is making a fortune off of other people's misery. Just to top off their prices, they have an additional $125 just to allow someone else to tow it off their property. They will gladly keep the car and discount you the $125, making you feel that wow they saved you a buck but in reality they just took a bunch of money from you and they kept your car. Moreover if you want someone to take it off their property, it has to be another one of these Island tow companies with "medallion", Which I will assume is either part of their company or have deep connections with. They must also have deep ties with the local police which are quick to dispatch Bill's towing and it seems that is the only place they call. I give huge credit to this elaborate business. They have thought things through in detail. They provide a flawless service, but at a huge and unreasonable cost.

I had no choice but to use Bill's Towing services because I got into an accident and the police called them. They are very dishonest with billing and try to extort as much money from people in distress. The distance from the highway to the shop was 1 mile and it should've costed me $8.50 according to DOT regulations but instead they charged me SEVEN times that amount. When I asked them about it they said "the insurance will reimburse you that amount" They have been in business since 1971, so about 5O years of cheating people. I would stay clear of this business.

My wife and I were involved in an accident and the state trooper called them to tow my car. They promptly came to take it, and two days later when my garage attempted to move my car to their facility, they tried to charge me 800 dollars to release it! They were rude to me and to my father in-law when we tried to communicate with them. I highly recommend steering CLEAR of these people!

Needed my Corvette to be towed to dealership. We were very nervous. They came with a flat bed . They were punctual, the guy who came was very friendly and careful with my car. My grandsons and I watched him load the car and at the end waved good bye to my grandsons. This was so nice since my grandsons are both 3 and 1 and were concerned why he was taking their “Grandpa’s race car”—-definitely would recommend

I got stuck on Memorial Day (today) and the woman who picked up was very nice and very quick to get me a driver, she also gave me a very reasonable price which was so nice because I was paying out of pocket not through insurance. the driver showed up within 15 mins and was very nice and quick with getting my car to the destination. definitely happy with my experience thank you!

Horrible....... I would give a zero star review if possible. Not only was the person rude on the phone but this person gave a starting rate that was 300+ for a tow less than 15 miles away. Then did not disclose full information on what he was charging me for. He hung up in the middle of our conversation. After calling back he said he would need more money if I wanted him to come for a tow. Adding more and more fees than his first price stated before. Once more he hung up after saying that it’s my own problem and refusing to pick me up, leaving me stranded on the side of the highway. One of the most disrespectfull businesses I’ve ever dealt with. A lack of better word I would describe these people as liars and thieves. Instead of helping and growing their business they try to take as much money from me as possible in such a disrespectful manner. My advice if your looking for a tow is to find another towing company.

I'm starting my own landscaping company after graduating from school and I bought an old dump truck that has seen better days. I had to get it inspected and I knew that it would not pass. I expected to sell a kidney to get it all fixed up, that was not the case! They took great care of my truck for less than half of what I expected to pay! Bruce made sure everything worked and explained it to me and when I'd have to get stuff fixed. Joe was the mechanic and he explained everything again. They're awesome!

Extremely punctual, it wasn't a long wait for the tow truck to arrive. My car had front end damage and the guy was extremely gentile when putting my car on the lift. The prices were very reasonable. I keep their card in my wallet god for bid something ever happens, I will never call another tow truck place.
