Great little camp grounds with swim beach and full access to the outdoors! Camp sites were amazing and had firepits so make sure to bring your camp wood!
Nice and clean, plenty of shade and sun and not a crowd of people are some of the reasons we love it here. You can swim, take your dogs for a swim, kayak, hike and fish.
I only gave this place a three because of all the water rules. I haven't even been here yet, so now that I've looked I'm hesitant. You can't have goggles you can't have a flotation you can't horse play. What is actually meant by horseplay? I mean what actually can the kids do in the water? How can a kid go in the water and not partake in some sort of what the rules call horse play?
Is this a campground that kids 7 to 11 yrs old would enjoy? Or is it more for adults ?
Awesome place. Great sites some close to the water so you can watch the kids swim clean bathroom and shower. Bring good bug spray there's lots of bugs.
I’ve been camping here since I was a baby, if you want to reserve a campsite you can call the cabin and Charlie (the caretaker) will let you know if there are any free sites and will even place a chair on it to save it for you. Be warned it’s in the middle of no where with to cell service, so put down your phone and relax, the caretaker has a landline that he is more than happy to let you use. If you forget something Croghan is 15 minutes away, everyone is kind and looks out for each other here, you won’t find a better place.
Very nice little campground that isnt very busy most of the time. There's room for both camping and tenting sites. There's also a volleyball net, horseshoe pit, beach with a lifeguard, and a boat launch for canoes/kayaks.
A small public campground that is keep very clean. They offer a beach and a car top launch on the reservoir. If your looking for a family outing, out of cell signal, look no further. Each site has a small wood grill with a designated fire pit area.
soft maple camp ground is a wonderful place to camp---this is our 9th year of our yearly girls camping---charlie the caretaker is a wonderful person--there are showers there--and food items for purchase at the main cabin--nice sucluded place to have fun, tents or campers
Its a nice first come first served campground with just eleven primitive sites. No hookups, just a picnic table and a fire ring next to a lake. There are flush toilets and showers, but don't expect tile and marble.
