This Dollar General would have gotten an easy 4 out of 5 stars if more was done to put away there items that they order to stock the store with. This place is a great and much needed addition to Broadalbin a small town in need of local shopping. You can tell by the sheer number of people that frequent this store that it was something needed in the Area, so if you go here prepare to be in line for at least a few minutes some of the times your there. This store also seems to have tried to take on the role of local grocery store as well, although they don't have everything a person needs, they do have some of the essentials needed to get you and your family by if driving further to a bigger store isn't a possibility. They need more room at this store plain and simple, they have the right kind of selection but lack the places to put it and I would be prepared to have more then just a few dollars if you intend on shopping here. Although a lot of items found here are low priced and close to a dollar most of the items at this location are actually above the 2 to 5 dollar range. The selection of items are good but most of it is always located in boxes on a pallet in the middle of the stores walk ways and you have to move or reach around them to find and grab certain Items on shelves, that's why I give this store a 3 out of 5 stars, its a good store with nice employees that just seems to always run out of enough room to stock its inventory.
Online pickup was a nightmare. Order was placed around 10am and went to pick up around 3:30 pm. Order wasn’t even processed and there was like two people in the store. Associate says they were really busy and had no time yet the four employees couldn’t designate one person to do it. So the additional $3 off coupon couldn’t be used because it was no longer online pick up. Each visit here is really less then stellar. Too bad it’s a convenient location.
Great for quick pickups just don't go at a peak time like 5 pm on a week day guaranteed wait to check out and its always that way at least they are consistent i guess. I'm actually a share holder as well and patronize several locations and its similar across the board this is how we make bank on this company by having minimal payroll and great selections all within a small footprint that meets zoning requirements just about anywhere...
Everyone during COVID are looking for cleaning items and it seems when the trucks come in it takes 2-3 days before any wipes or cleaning stuff appears on the shelves or they never appear. Need more help or a better system of stocking important items. This is the only store that doesn't have the 1-2 limit on items which doesn't give everyone a chance to get important items because people stock up on them so they clear out fast.
Store is a mess boxes every where. Women manager is very rude tells me when I ask for something that I ALWAYS buy they don't carry it. She needs to go or b retrained. I'm sorry but that store should just close down and start completely over.
Close and convenient. Good prices. Not a huge place, but a good selection of everything from food to Tupperware to bandaids. Generally has what I'm in there for.
1 of the worst stores around, gloversville stores are always stocked up. Broadalbin store always running out of things and takes forever to stock back up. Past few years its gotten worse, used to be up to par but I dont think management knows how to keep up on inventory.
That store is always a mess. Product still in huge boxes in the aisle that you can't get past with shopping cart. Shelves aren't stock...hate going in there!
GREAT for a quick stop and great addition to the village...much needed as opposed to driving to Amsterdam or Jtown for simple items..the staff are always amazing with customers, very helpful and the manager (Dave?) Is the SWEETEST!
I like the Dollar General way better in Mayfield than the one in Broadalbin. The store is way bigger, and I like the products better. The store was also cleaner
Seems they're always out of stock of the things I want and usually only have one register open so you have to wait. Prices are pretty good if they had the product. Employees need more training on how to smile and be friendly
the only thing i wish some of the new employee we're trained better on is baging soda i have had such a hard time w all if them except 2 who are no longer there twice i have had botells of soda fell on my foot
