Closed all Sundays and Mondays. Knowing the hours can be Tricky.
The transfer station also accepts recyclables. You sort into the appropriate container. Volunteer organizations have their own containers for aluminum cans in case you do not want to deal with NY's redemption. Nicer than just tossing them into the state's recycle bin.
As mentioned earlier, you need a punch card to leave trash at the transfer station. Cards are purchased by weight at the "Ticonderoga Community Building, Town Offices", 132 Montcalm St. Just walk through the front entrance, turn right at the first door, speak with friendly clerk. The variety of cards (the amount you can spend) is great; will cover all needs. Oh, the clerk's counter was dog friendly; ours got a biscuit. Clerk and transfer attendant were exceptionally friendly, even though we're out-of-state residents.
