The repairs were done flawlessly—my car looks brand new again, and you’d never know it was in an accident. The second that I walked through the front door of Matt's Auto Body, I was greeted by friendly faces and informative voices, who instantly provided me with the nearest Enterprise Car Rental phone number.
Mike Bennet, VP at Matt's was extremely. attentive and provided me with needed information in order to expedite the claim with my auto insurance carrier.
Less than an hour before, I had a near collision with a large Whitetail doe and I found myself off the road and in a ditch. Being from Michigan, I was a long way from home and quite jolted by the whole accident, albeit, luckily I was not injured.
The first person (of the seven people) who stopped to see if I was okay, recommended Matt's Auto Body for towing and possible work on my very damaged vehicle. He made the call for Matt's tow truck to come to Willow Road, Clinton, New York to pick up me and my car.
When the tow-truck and driver arrived, he was cordial and efficient. I rode with him back to Matt''s Auto Body, which was literally within a mile of my accident.
Every person that I encountered Matt's Auto Body, Salt Point was most friendly and helpful. I only wish the insurance company wouldn't have totaled my vehicle as I am sure that my experience with this collision shop would have been most satisfying in both the quality of the people as well as the workmanship.

They didn’t want to work on my car so they gave me a ridiculous quote. They did work on my car once already and the job wasn’t even that good for the price.

Update: 7/24/2025
In the beginning of June my car was in an accident, a driver pulled out in front of me. The damaged to my car was ~$25k and included the front end (both fenders) and including my driver side door. The suspension was messed up and the front components of my engine bay.
The accident was 100% the other driver's fault so Mike worked with their insurance company and all of the back and forth that goes with it. When I got my car back it was as good as new. No one can believe it hand been so badly mangled.
10/10 craftsmanship, customer care, etc. I'm so glad I have a body shop like Matt's!!
Randy, Mike and team are the BEST in auto body work!!! I have taken my 2024 Mustang GT to them twice for work and their work is AMAZING.
The first time they had to fix the alignment of my hood and bumper because my car was delivered from the factory misaligned. They also installed black badges on the front, sides and rear to mimic the Nite Pony package that Ford sold out of. That job was a 10/10.
The second visit I had them install a wing performance pack spoiler and fix a dent in my tailpipe. Again 10/10 on both items.
I have found Matt's Autobody to be easy to work with, fast and very reasonable on price. I live an hour away and have twice taken my car there because they are that good!!
Was recommended to go to Matt’s and they did not disappoint! Never had body work done before and not only did they give me a estimate same day without a appointment unlike Collision auto body in Kingston who told me I needed a appointment and they didn’t know when the next one was available??? Matt’s was quick and was told 3-5 days and sure enough it was 3 days! I had a hand size dent and scraping on the top of the passenger side door frame and they made it look like it never happened! Picked up the car and they cleaned the outside and inside just like I had bought it new! The body shop is very nice and clean. Hope to never have body work again but if I do I’m going to Matt’s! Took my 15 year old daily driver Corvette in for a facelift. They repainted some panels, sanded and polished the whole car and installed aftermarket headlight assemblies. Very reasonable price, the car looks excellent and I avoided have to pay for a complete paint job.
Matts Auto Body is the best auto body shop I have been to in 46 years of driving. Great service manager, Mark, provided fast service, in both ordering parts & installing them by repairing vehicle. Job of replacing damaged exterior mirror was done perfectly in half hour. Price was fair & reasonable.
Thank God for Matt who not only helped us tow our car after the car slipped on black ice and grease into a tree and storm drain, he was so kind to help us on a Sunday take all of our belongings including skis, he opened his shop to us for warmth and bathroom, he then drove my family and I (two small children and wife) to our house 20 minutes away from his location out of kindness. The people in this town are exceptional and many locals stopped to make sure we were okay. We thank God and feel fortunate everyone is okay. Thank you so much Matt. I made sure my children understood what kindness looks like through your example.
These guys are definitely a 5 star shop! I brought my Volvo in here for repairs after a rear ending accident and they were amazing. They were quick, clean, and did an excellent job especially when dealing with a messy insurance claim. Can’t recommend them enough for any repair needs!
My wife was in an accident. Matt's pick up the car and took it to their facility. That is where the magic began. They were helpful, explained everything, helped me navigate insurance, explained my op. All with a smil, and skilled experience, which was priceless. Every single person there was fantastic. I have had a car fixed here years ago twice from deer running into me. I had an accident last year and Matt's picked the car up. They are always helpful and kind. I wouldn't take my car any please else if it needed fixing. They do a great job on repairs!!!
Exactly a year after a freaking deer helped my wife total the car, I was minding my own business when yet another freaking deer decided to tempt fate. Fate dictated that the deer would shoot up in the air like a Russian tank commander, before landing a good thirty feet away and sliding across the highway. Being a snobby New Yorker, I was hesitant to entrust my expensive car to the random place that it had been towed to, and I was intent on having it returned to the Manhattan dealership whence it came. However, Matt's convinced me that they knew what they were doing and that the car was in good hands. They did a fantastic job. The car came back looking and feeling like new. I would use them again, but I'm hoping freaking deer will eventually learn to not leap in front of automobiles.

An amazing place. My Jeep dealership recommended them after someone hit my car and I couldn't be more happier that they did. Matt's Auto dealt with my insurance so that I didn't have to, and had the car in and out in a flash. Everyone there is great and knows what they're doing.
Can’t rave enough about Matt’s Auto. Mike Beckmann and the rest of the staff went above/beyond and exceeded my expectations. My car was fixed in a very short period of time and they did an outstanding job with the body work. The car was impeccable both inside and out. Called Matt's over the weekend when my friend's car wouldn't start after a couple of really cold nights. They connected me to someone who came out right away and got the car running. Reasonable price, great service and super fast response. I will definitely call again!
So today I picked up my vehicle after having a bad experience with northside auto body in Poughkeepsie. When I had an accident that I mistakenly caused myself. No one was hurt just my vehicle was in badly shape. My vehicle looks brand new and feels like I just got it out the dealer shop. I'm so glad they were able to get my car back to how it was before my accident. For less than the other auto body and they were great in giving me updates about my car and not sugar coating anything. I will definitely recommend my friends here to them instead of Northside now even if it is 20 minutes away but it is worth it. They make sure it is safe to drive again and take care of it as if it was their own. Thank you very much Mike especially. He was great. Will put up pictures of my car to prove their work as well. It was a big job and it was done in three weeks. They are awesome. I'm still surprised my car looks very nice is with me again.
Hit a Deer with my nice new F-150 and the deer went right down the side of the truck causing about $5000 worth of damage. Matt's did an amazing job of repairing the damage making the truck as good as new. The turn around time was very fast. I noticed a small problem with the door seal much later and brought it back in and they ordered a new part and installed it in a few minutes while I waited. . I could not be more impressed with the workmanship and professionalism. Also had to have my other car towed by them once during a snowstorm and once again they were very reasonable and professional. I am very fortunate to have such a well run auto repair facility a short drive from my home!
Matt’s replaced our storm damaged front hood. The job was done on time and quickly. It was done to precisely match the premium color one damaged. Perfect work. Perfect workmanship. Courteous professional service. And, much appreciated, a very decent price. Five Stars
I have to say I have never been more impressed with an auto body shop in my life. I got into a bad roll over accident thankfully I wasn’t too badly hurt but my car was totaled. They towed my car from my scene of the accident and when I felt better and spoke to them about getting my things from the car they were amazing. Super helpful and very concerned about my well being. Never met a place so nice and caring. I highly recommend them
An unfortunate animal crossing late at night resulted in a damaged front end. Ruge’s Subaru shared their recommendation... If you ever have to get body work done, go to Matt’s! Friendliest staff, very accommodating, efficient turnaround time and you’ll leave with a freshly washed and repaired vehicle.
Matt's Auto Body did above and beyond the most amazing job! Their workmanship is impeccable. It looked like a brand new car that just rolled out of the dealers show room. The auto body shop near where I live an hour away towards New York City, doesn't come close to quality work that Matt's Auto Body does. The paint job is a big WOW! What a bunch of professional, wonderful people to deal with. They even delivered my car to me at a location closer to where I live when all the work was completed. I couldn't believe that they also cleaned the entire interior of the car. That was a nice surprise! They even worked with me on the price to fix it. Thank you Matt's Auto Body for a great job done! I am so grateful!
This place was great! We damaged a friend’s car and they took car of the body work at a VERY reasonable price, were friendly, and did an overall fantastic job. The car looks brand new. Highly recommend this place. (In fact, we’re now going to bring both our cars in for some body work! My 2012 Outback could use it!!)
