my girlfriend went here the other day to get her head lights changed after they finished her headlights and moved her car they backed it up into a workers truck. the car isn’t in my girlfriends name it’s in her step mothers name, when her step mother called asking for them to fix the damages they caused they said they have no proof that the damage was done by them and that they don’t know what she’s talking about. all the workers were also outside in a circle smoking when she pulled up. don’t go here or any mavis at that point.
Kyle was very helpful and professional. He was able to accommodate me with getting in and taking care of my vehicle. I don’t live in the area, but I use this facility to purchase my tires etc.

My band had the alternator go on our van on the way to a gig on a Saturday morning (going from Saratoga Springs, NY - Atlantic City, NJ), and Courtney and the crew got us turned around and back on the road in time to show up 10 mins before our call time. These guys went above and beyond to help us out, and it really meant the world. Happy holidays and Merry Christmas guys!
Today I went in to have my front brakes done on my car, the service only took an hour and they applied a coupon for $60 off per axle. While I waited they also assisted me in pricing tires for my car for when I need them at a later time. They were kind and courteous. I did however have to return a few hours later, as I was out doing errands I heard what sounded like a whine/whistle coming from the driver's side tire and each time I tapped the breakes the sound went away for a few moments but came back after releasing the break. When I returned to mavis and explained the issue they pulled the car right in. They explained the sound wasn't coming from the front but infact the back caliber it needed lubricant. They would take care of it at no extra cost. They were extremely helpful! Thank you so much!
Stopped by Mavis Tire in Valatie, NY after my previous tire shop misplaced my wheel lock key for my Dodge 1500. I tried everything—including a universal removal kit—but couldn’t get the locking lugs off.
The gentleman at the front desk said, “I might have an idea,” and within about 10 minutes he had all the lug nuts off using my kit. Then he noticed the auto parts store had sold me the wrong replacement lugs and immediately grabbed 3 of the correct ones made for my truck—no charge, no hesitation.
He told me not to worry about labor and to “just come back when your tires need something.”
That kind of honesty and service is hard to find. I’ll definitely be bringing all my tire work here from now on.
My experience at this location was a lot better than my experience and a lot of other garages and other auto shops. This location is by far the best, especially with what I can only assume is the store manager being really awesome and supportive boss.
Court was absolutely the most accommodating , I made a appointment online they took me right in. Terri and him did an amazing job, mind you i was terrified it was going to need more work but they got it done in a timely manner. I will be returning! I had a tire pressure light go off, stopped in. Immediately worried, dollar signs dancing in my head. They got on it quickly, and thoroughly. It was just a loose sensor so they didn't even charge labor. They just tightened it up and handed me back the keys about 20 minutes later. They could've easily taken advantage of the situation, or at the least charged me for them putting it on the lift. Will definitely consider them when I need more significant tire work done. They were very nice with my dog too. Solid group of guys.
My son had a blowout on i90. We pulled in 20 minutes before closing and the guys stayed late to make sure our son had safe tires. My momma heart thanks you a million!

I drove from out of state to keep NY inspection up to date and the first time they told me I didn’t have an appointment even though I had confirmed via the phone the day before. Before leaving I had the worker named Kyle make me an appointment so there were no mix ups in the future. I drove back 2 weeks later for my appointment that the employee made for me and when I walk in they said the appointment was messed up and they were not able to reinspect my car. Avoid this place! Go down the street to somewhere else. If you do go here, make sure Kyle is not the employee scheduling or creating your appointment.
Was on a road trip from Massachusetts and got a flat tire. Kyle, the service manager, was able to fit me in on a Sunday afternoon to get me on my way and have the tire repaired in just a couple hours. Awesome experience! Thanks Kyle!
After getting the runaround at the Hudson Mavis, I called Valatie Mavis and Jeff graciuoslly squeezed me into his already tight schedule to fix a problem created by the Hudson Mavis. He kept me in the loop, was honest and very knowledgable and respected me as the customer. I am now only going to service my vehicle(s) at the Valatie Mavis from this day forward. Top notch service from start to finish. Thank you again Jeff, you care about your clientele and it shows. I appreciate you and your staff. I would recommend Valatie Mavis 100%.
As much as I usually don’t trust Mavis discount tires, the Mavis discount tire in valatie ny is my go to for when I have to take my fleet vehicles in for repairs and oil changes. They know how to run the system. They’re really good at inspecting the vehicle and making sure everything is in proper working order and get things done in a very timely manner and it’s one of the few Mavis discount tires I’ve been to where the employees are actually very polite and knowledgeable, as to what my needs are for my vehicles and can get me in and out in a matter of only a few hours on a Thursday after work when they’re open late so I can get the truck out same day and go back to work the next day
Can't thank Kyle and Mike and the rest of the hands involved that kept me moving on the road for memorial days weekend. These guys worked tirelessly to make sure my vehicle was good to go. Above & Beyond. Really appreciate having Mavis in Valatie. So helpful to have a auto shop open longer than 5PM & on weekends. Thank you for saving the day!
This Mavis has been a shop we have consistently used time and time again. They are great. Today, I went in and Jeff was helpful and efficient, helping me to recycle some tires we had previously purchased from them a few summers ago. He went above and beyond, and made my life easier. Give this man a raise!

I stopped here on Friday to see about getting an oil changed my company truck.
I did not have an appointment but saw there were no cars in any of the bays and the mechanics where all standing outside doing nothing.
I was told they were to busy and they could try to fit me in next week. So I just left.
Then Saturday morning I called at 9:30 to make an appointment for an inspection on my personal truck.
They told me to bring it in between 2 and 2:30.
I arrived at 2:00 and was told I didn't have an appointment and they could do it on Sunday or next week.
And again there was only one car in the shop.
After I got aggravated me looked again and said my appointment was at 9:00 and I missed it which it wasn't since I called at 9:30.
This has happened several times in the past too.
This place is terrible I'm done giving them chances.
Do Not Go Here !!! Made an appointment online for an inspection and alignment and received a confirmation email stating my “reservation is confirmed”. Upon arriving at the garage I was informed that because I didn’t pick up my phone they had given my appointment away. I had arrived nearly half an hour early and drove for 30 mins to get there promptly. I am assuming they had a customer that they thought would spend a little more money so they gave them my spot. Truth is jokes on them I needed tires and brakes as well. Guess they didn’t need that $1000 ??♀️.
Went to Mavis on Friday last week I was told that my car would not pass inspection because of my windshield and wipers they also said that my emergency brake needed repair. I was informed that if I did the repairs that I would pass inspection, I had the windshield replaced,wipers and repaired the emergency brake. Made an appointment to get the car done back at mavis went back fifteen minutes later I was called out to the repair area and told I need brakes and rotors in the rear of the car. I was extremely annoyed and told the gentleman by the name Kyle that he would put the pads on the car for $100 and I would get my inspection passed. Someone please tell me that this makes sense…….I gave them two stars only because in the past they were great not so much anymore.
These guys are amazing. I found out I needed a new tire and they got me in right before closing to replace it. I needed to go to college at 8am the next day and they made sure to get my tire replaced before closed.

I had a flat while driving on a Sunday. My friend and her husband were nice enough to come help me switch to the spare. I drove it right to Mavis figuring I would have to leave it there until the next day. Nope!! They were so kind. Able to repair the tire and got my car back to me within 45 min from me driving in.
I have been looking for a trustworthy place to take my car for oil changes, inspections, etc. My trusted mechanic for the last 20 years closed up shop and I have since then been searching for a place that is honest and doesn’t look at me as someone they can take advantage of as soon as I walk through the door because I am a woman. Austin is great! He is very kind and honest. He takes the time to explain things and discusses options on how to proceed when work needs to be done. I very much appreciate him and would totally recommend this Mavis location.
Logan, Austin and the crew were friendly, polite, helpful and professional. They were able to diagnose and fix my car quickly. Overall, great service !
