Sadly dont tell you price for category they classify it as. Had 180blb of cat 6 wire. Normal scrape price of .75 to 1.25 per pound. They put it as base com and it was .05 they told me after unloading. Almost laughed at them. Never going here unless scrap metal.
Nice place to get a load, people here are very nice and professional and know their business. Forklift drivers knows how to load the trailer the right way, I visit a lot of places like this and this one in particular make my day easy... in and out in 30 minutes. Trucks with trailers have to use the farther entrance to the scale so you can align straight with the scale and the loading dock is behind the building (need to backup from the street)
They will only pay you for the cheapest metal they see on your load.
So, if you have 980 pounds of cast iron and twenty pounds of loose TIN, they.will only pay for 1000 pounds of loose tin.
Bring differently priced metal in entirely separate loads, or get screwed!
They need to train the workers better I've been screwed over and paid way less than I should have to many times this place will rob you of your hard work scraping. Go to Seminole they pay better.
This place is friendly and helpful and I believe is on point and fair with you as possible. I dnt believe they would do anyone wrong to anyone. Or cheat anyone out of their money or earnings. And I would recommend them to anyone in need. Keep up the awesome work Hobbs Iron and Medal.
