Yep, some one stole my license plate and I did not go get my vehicle in time from where it was parked at. It was towed like it should have been. On the plus side, it was taken care of while I was out of town. I did go get the vehicle back and they were very helpful. They opened up the gate on the day they were closed 06/22/25 and it was late when I was available to pick up the vehicle. THANK YOU!!!
A dear friend was picking me up after recovering from surgery, she wasn’t parked for more than 15 minutes at my apartment complex when they towed her car, while talking to them they refused to stop hooking up the car. I understand if we weren’t there but they did it right in front us.
It’s just plain evil, try to excuse it but it’s just not right. Wish people had more empathy these days.

Response to the owner: Prowling a lot night and day with no cars parked in the handicap space is definitely strange. Even in crazy little Albuquerque. I don’t park in the handicap parking area so I have never had any dealings with the business as I stated in my review. I am more than free to say what I think is unusual activity about a place that is supposed to be a business. From the perspective of the other reviews, this company/ person seems to get pleasure out of causing trouble. Nobody could EVER upset me. Definitely pestering though. Please seek professional help and a good church to attend.
This company is so strange. They send a tow truck at all hours of the day and night to hunt for cars at my apartment complex. Thankfully I had a kind neighbor come warn me that the truck was circling the parking lot and I was able to move my car from a handicap space. While I was still sitting in it however, the driver of the tow truck did not seem pleased he wasn’t going to be able to tow my vehicle and I am very happy about it. Be cautious when dealing with shady businesses such as this one. I gave one star based off the demeanor of the tow truck driver who seemed determined to tow my vehicle knowing that I had moved it.
We parked in front of dominos off central- no signs in front of our space or the close right or left spaces. We have photos. The snitch calling in for goes was parked and called us right in. Then when we started advising people not to park there or near he got mad and said we have to wait three days now to get our car back. Law says that’s not ok! We will be sure to file a complaint with Dominos.
Entitled people are always parking on my property to go attend games at the Pit and Isotopes stadium. I've called all over. Every time towing companies say they will call me back and never do, or that they don't have any trucks available, or say they won't tow because I have my own no parking signs instead of theirs. After calling dozens of towing companies and being stood up repeatedly waiting for towing companies that never come, Greg's actually showed up and did something. These guys are serious about private property impound. I'm calling them to arrange for them to be my primary towing company.
Hey Greg, I think i found the sign you were so smuggly telling me about. The one that was "right next to where I parked". This is a picture in broad daylight, from the same parking spot. Does anyone else see what that says? I even put an arrow to make it harder to miss. Mind you, when my car was towed, i parked here at 8:50pm on July 26th, during a flash flood warning with very heavy rain and was supposed to see that. My wife, my 6month old child and i were stranded on Central in the cold and rain. Couldnt get an uber to take us because we didnt have the proper tools to securely strap my daughter in. All because i should have seen this sign. I know you put these up yourself, big guy, but I'm pretty sure you're gonna need more signs by the end of all this.

dominos off central. Man sitting in car probably calling in the hits. He told us that we could get it back tomorrow (sat). Then he changed his mind because we started warning others not to park there. “Now you won’t get your car back til Monday because you’re telling people they’re getting towed here.” This is a load of BS!!!!!!!!!!
This business is completely shady and needs to be shut down. I will be contacting the city and better business bureau. Basically they make up parking rules about where you can park near businesses ( not actually knowing of you are in that business!) and steal your car by towing it to a scary lot on the SE part of town and then charge you a ridiculous amount of money ( Extortion!) to get you car that they stole, back. There’s one thing if the city has parking rules and impounds a car, or private property, it’s another for a random “company” to hover where people park and say that you can’t park somewhere which was UNMARKED! The following photo is where my car was parked! No sign indicating otherwise and they stole/towed it 15 mins after I parked!!!! They better be thankful we did not have a health emergency or their butts would have been sued immediately. Additionally, when I called to find out where my car was, the guy belittled me on the phone. A total racket taking advantage of good, hard working, people who earn their money legitimately.
Parked on lead near university for a few minutes at my uncle place and walked back out, they towed vehical and paid 215.00 she said state is charging that much now. The amount is totally ridiculous and state is doing this to low income family and covid is still around. No sympathy what so ever for people. I am complaining next to state of new Mexico for doing this to everyone, after I picked up car, this van is being towed by the same company.
Awful awful place, never want to come back ever again. Friends car was wrongfully towed, they were even told not to tow the car, refused to admit that they were told and said they were never told to not tow it. Hung up on us when we were trying to get an explanation. Tried to explain the situation and tell them the tow was wrong, kept interrupting me would not let me speak at all. Shady as heck. Hopefully you never get towed by these people!
If I could give zero stars, I would. Greg’s Towing was responsible for one of the most predatory towing experiences I’ve encountered. My 10 year old daughter and I frequently stop at the McDonald’s on Yale and Central in Albuquerque after I pick her up from her school on Yale, which is on my route back from my job near the airport to our home on the west side. With the traffic, it’s become a nice routine to get her a treat for the drive.
Last night, we parked in what seemed to be the shared parking lot for the businesses in the area, including Olympia Café (just northeast of McDonald’s) and McDonald’s itself, which was extremely empty. This was later confirmed by Luis, the McDonald’s GM, who was extremely remorseful about what happened. My daughter and I decided to quickly grab a bite at Olympia Café before heading to McDonald’s for our usual ice cream stop. We were inside for no more than 30 minutes, and when we came out, our car was gone.
The lot was completely empty, and there was a sign stating that a boot would cost $75, so it made no sense that they would tow instead. When we called Greg’s Towing, they informed us that our car had just been taken and that we couldn’t pick it up until the next day because they had closed at 6 p.m. By the time we found out, it was almost 6, so we were left stranded without access to my car, which had critical items, including my daughter’s school bag and my business laptop. Now, I have no way of getting my daughter to school today, adding even more frustration to this situation.
Luis, the McDonald’s GM, was extremely apologetic and confirmed that the parking lot was empty and that “if it was up to him” he would not have let them take the vehicle. He offered us our desserts and food free to try to make up for what happened, but that doesn’t change the fact that predatory towing practices caused unnecessary stress for me and my daughter.
This type of predatory practice is highly unethical and shows a complete disregard for people’s needs and property. Towing from an empty lot in under 30 minutes and then making it impossible to retrieve the vehicle until the next day speaks volumes about their priorities. Seeing the other reviews online, I’m not alone—numerous customers report the same dishonest practices and poor service.
I would not recommend this company to anyone. If you are a victim of their predatory tactics, I strongly encourage you to take legal action if faced with a similar situation. This place towed my car in an unreserved parking space for no reason, I just moved to this apartment complex that use them. The guy basically said he couldn’t help and wait till the next week on Monday.
Super unprofessional and seems like they are in desperate need of money. These places need to be sued. People work hard and don’t have the money nor patience to sit here and worry about where their car is.
Got my car towed and they damaged it in transit. They tried to lie to my face telling me a fresh scratch on my bumper was present upon their arrival. They are shady and are actively trying to screw over and take money from hard working citizens.
Terrible towing company very unprofessional. They have awful at communication with each other one person gave me and extension on my car before it gets towed and they kept tagging my car and I called and they fall back on there word as in giving me a extension. And towed my car that very night. After my apartment complex also gave me a extension also. Called them they were extremely rude about things and don’t like talking to people put me on hold for 30min plus. They just want there money which is needed in that lot because it is a rust trap. There lot isn’t the brightest either went to pick up the car and it was squeezed in between two cars and couldn’t even access the driver door. They also have been involved in helping drunk drivers they have showed up to scenes and towed the vehicle before a cop can attend to the situation properly. I have all this on record and also know the person they attended too during that situation. There employees are the biggest issue they are mean and very unprofessional, the mid age Latino very rude and unprofessional very Vulgar and has a horrible attitude with his customers. At the end of the day I paid $200 out of pocket to get my vehicle back that they said I can have a extension for.
So they’re horrible customer service terrible communication skills and most importantly do not treat anyone like they’re human it’s there way or no way.
I see a lot of wrongfully towed including myself. I’m sure if we all or a good handful take them to civil court they can get shut down. Already going to process my application.
This guy is rude and will cuss you out when he doesn't know you at all. very unprofessional service. He needs to be reported to the better business bureau. Handicap spot or not they go around towing in the middle of the night when everyone is sleeping and praying on people by removing stickers and illegally gathering MVD records. He went as far as hitting my daughters car and getting in front of her vehicle for her to hit him. He squealed like the fat pig he is and grunted as he ran inside! he did get reported to the BBB by me and others from this complex that he towed vehicles from as a group. Good riddance. He is a rip off. There are more 1 star ratings than any other tow company here in Albuquerque.
Absolutely the lowest of the low work here!!! They are literally watching ppl leaving their cars at Mc Donald’s to walk to check out the fair after eating dinner at Mc Donald’s. They watched my 2 children 19 & 17 and as soon as the kids was out of site they hooked my car up and towed it without any type of notification at all!! Leaving 2 good young adults stranded in Albuquerque off Cantal where it’s full of crime and addicts without letting them kids know anything! My poor 17 year old daughter works all the time, and we told her to go out the 1st time ever without her Momma and because this tow company is heartless & after only money! My child is left walking that street in a dress and crying hysterical. I live 2 hours away and no other vehicle no one I can call at this hour & I am home with 5 other sleeping children! I hope & pray these ppl get what they deserve because they have been doing this to multiple people & tonight there was multiple eye witnesses and that is actually how I found my car! And I will say it again since Greg’s towing isn’t listening!! THEY DID EAT INSIDE MC DONALD!! They was customers!!!! AS LIKE I SAID IT WAS THEIR 1st time without their mom, New driver my son!! 19 with a new license taking his little sister out because she works 24/7!!! They are inside and while there they decided to walk over to check out the State Fair because they are not from here!! Never seen it before that night!!! And Greg’s towing done it to multiple families there is a ton of eye witness!!!
They are very nice people who work hard and have to put up with Kevin's and Karen's all day. Normally people who get towed realize that they were either parked where they know that they should not have been or figured out that they are not allowed to park where they were. They are in and out of the yard in under 15 minutes but then you have these Karen's and Kevin's who will not admit that they were parked in the wrong place and try to throw the blame on GREG'S TOWING for taking their vehicle unlawfully ( even though they are shown pictures of their vehicles in violation of property and city laws and regulations, but still not willing to admit fault.) They treat the employees of Greg's TOWING poorly even though they are called by either parking enforcement or property managers to remove their vehicle for violating property or city laws or regulations.
Basically, it comes down to this rule!! If the driver of the vehicle that was towed didn't violate property or city laws or regulations, they would not have to come to Greg's TOWING ever!! Right or Wrong?

Filed a lawsuit to sue this place for illegal towing cuz they are blind and can’t see when a car has been moved after being threatened to be towed cuz it hadn’t moved, I went ahead and moved it to avoid being towed but they still towed it anyways cuz as the owner states “they can tow it whenever they want”
I was riding my bike on Tramway around 5:00 a.m. I had a flat. As I was getting ready to fix it, Greg's tow truck stopped and offered to take me to my house, which was 5 miles away in the opposite direction of where he was headed. He would not charge me for his time and assistance. Much appreciated.
This place is a total rip off! Should be shut down! They towed my daughter's vehicle in a matter of 2 minutes while we entered McDonalds on Central and University. I am handicap and have a handicap placard that somehow fell off and they immediately put a boot on it and the tow truck was there ready to tow her vehicle. They didn't even wait for me to come out to verify that I was there! I will be reporting them to the State Auditors Office and Better Business Buereu! Shut them down!!!
this company is very sketchy and unprofessional. they towed my car 10 mins after i got out my car. i was just coming to pick up my girlfriend and i let them know that and they didn’t care. they weren’t nice about it either. i followed them in my girlfriends car and they drove around not even towing anyone’s else’s car, just mine. they lied to my dad about my complex requesting a tow to my car but when i asked about it they said they never said that. they had to even ask to get my belongings out of my car.
Towed my car unprofessionally when i was dropping my friend off. Should have never been towed. I'm going to press charges. They towed my car wrongfully. Never made a sound when they took it. I had to report my car stolen before i found out that Gregs came and took it, becsuse the property manager told me when i called, that they had not called to have any cars towed

Towed my car from McDonald's parking lot next to my work, I manage the zone smoke shop next door, the man on the phone Was extremely rude told me that it's not his problem I explained that I worked right next to the McDonald's I've been parking there for 3 days cuz there's been no parking he said he didn't care it's not his problem, they charged me 250$ and only had my car for 3 hours! He charged me more because my car is all wheel drive and a bunch of other non sense charges just to get there little come up.
Upon arriving to the business it looked to be in shambles disgusting trailer park trash I don't know how this business is running how it is it needs to be shut down
They worked with me on the fact that I never should have been towed. It was the city’s fault or whoever organized the event at Old Town Plaza.

This place is run by complete jerks. They will tow your vehicle on a Sunday, and hold it for ransom until Monday. They towed my friends car from an unmarked spot near a business in nob hill, towed it to a SUPER sketchy part of Albuquerque that I wouldn't go to unarmed, then charged him $220 to get it back. While I was out front waiting the bully tow truck driver literally pulled his tow truck directly behind my small car and began reving his motor repeatedly in a menacing way, pulled next to my vehicle several times staring at me then backing up and parking behind me once again. I was blown away by the completely unprofessional way that this bully treats people. He should not be allowed to operate a pez dispenser let alone a 2 ton vehicle capable of causing serious damage.The NMPRC needs to look into their business practices because this borders on extortion. I honestly question whether or not they are operating within the legal parameters. If you find yourself in the unfortunate situation of having to deal with these scoundrels beware.
They towed my car a month ago because my sticker on my license plate wasn't there, I think they took the sticker off so they can tow, I work with some of the best towing companies in the us and the Definitely do a lot of legal towing.
