After being forced to have my vehicle towed here, after a drunk driver totalled my car, I was informed that after less than 24 hours of having it, I owed 475 dollars to them to have my vehicle removed. After trying to communicate with them about the situation, I was met with a rude individual who spoke over me, and refused to be understanding at all. They demanded that, even though I was hospitalized, that I had to be in person to release the vehicle to a lot with much more reasonable rates. My insurance company is now upset with me because of the exorbitant fees involved with this tow. Again, I had no say in the matter, just the only company who was contacted and would tow it from the crash site. Extortion at best, and racketeering at worst.
They found my and let me get my car they just doing there job. Thank you but there should be special for cats that are stolen it help out the customer a whole lot! But thanks!

I would like to bring to your attention a concerning experience I had with a towing company that I believe reflects poorly on their professionalism and customer service standards. Having been involved in property management for the past ten years, I have interacted with numerous towing companies, but I have not encountered such a negative experience until now.
Recently, my brother was arrested, and the company is currently withholding his personal belongings, including his ID, phone, social security card, and keys to another vehicle. Their refusal to return these essential items is alarming.
Moreover, the interaction with their staff was disappointing. The representative who answered the phone was uncooperative and spoke over me while I was attempting to ask straightforward questions, displaying a lack of courtesy. When I requested to speak with the owner, I found that his demeanor was similarly unprofessional and unyielding.
My battery died so I had to get my car towed to get a new one.These folks were professional from the beginning, and Gilbert was an absolute joy. I will certainly use this company the next time I need my car towed. Highly recommend!
A WINDSHIELD came flying off of one of your trucks on I-40 in the middle of rush hour traffic. YOU ARE GOING TO GET SOMEONE KILLED. This is one of the most unsafe incidents I've ever witnessed, and your driver wasn't even aware of the danger he is putting everyone around him in.
I'm here in Seattle, WA with my parents stranded between Cuba and Negazi, NM at 7pm on a Friday. Our roadside assistance through insurance said they would find a tow. After two cancelations and two hours, nothing. I decide to take matters into my owns hands.
List of every towing company within 100miles of Albuquerque created -- Grok rocks. Call #1: Acme.
Acme has a deal with local govt where they must respond within a strict timeframe. My parents are way outside this frame. Instead of hanging up, he said he gave me a list of folks he thinks are within range. 5 names and 5 numbers.
We end up finding help. About 30 mins later my phone rings -- private number. It's Acme, just checking to see if I've had luck or if he should jump on the phones with me.
This type of character is rare. The type you only stumble upon once in a few years. The man behind Acme is the real deal, he cares -he is selfless.
I remember when I use to carry this character around. I'm taking this lesson as a reminder. I need to be more selfless.

I cannot say enough about the team that me and my family worked with today. We had an amazing and caring interaction after a very scary event on the highway at 2 AM where one of our tires nearly flew right off our truck. They went so far above and beyond their jobs to take care of us. The gentleman with ACME dispatch (unfortunately I didn’t catch his name) found an amazing tow professional (AAG truck #58) that came to our rescue, not just once, but twice within 5 hours. We were able to save a ton of money and stress because of the caring professionalism and knowledge they have of their community. On a Sunday when nearly everything was closed they researched and found resources that could help us and we were able to continue our trip to our new life, everyone safe and sound. Thank you all SO much!

This driver began to scream at me while following another car and then This driver punched my window for no reason, he then Began to chase my car with bits of broken vehicles and threw them at me while threatening me and my children. Once the driver was aware I was taking photos he THEN left me alone.(photos show him approaching my car for the 2nd time)
The owner justifies his actions and even promoted his actions as right. The owner stated “it’s not his problem”. And then proceeded use fake customer service while advising the police are the only ones who can handle anything regardless of his employees actions.
These guys are the best! Always there for me any time i need a tow to the mechanic. They even carry specialty tools just in case. Reliable, friendly, and affordable. Don't waste your time calling anybody else.
Mike at Acme Towing was willing to cut by friend a break re her towing charges. She is in a nursing home with a shattered hip. Her apartment house towed her car from the gated lot as it had an expired registration tag. Acme Towing, in the spirit of Christmas, was willing to help her. Both of us appreciate them.They have restored my faith in humanity. Thank you guys!
Broke down by an intersection and called acme. They have several towing companies that work with them so dispatcher was able to find someone near me. Was picked up within 10 to 15 minutes. The tow guy was very kind, understanding, professional and I felt very safe. Making an unpleasant circumstance into an easy and pleasant experience. Thank you.
Place was amazing. Bought artificial turf from artificial turf recyclers and had them deliver it. Also, aaccommodating on what date/ time. Laughed about military discount. My only warning is if one of their delivery drivers tells you that they “can do a job, it’s what the do in the side” steer f’n clear. He cannot do the job and you’ll get scammed!

When my van broke down, it was kind of the straw that broke the camels back to a birthday weekend that started off in the dumps. Short story long, I tested positive for Covid ON my birthday. I was down, physically and emotionally.
The kindness that the staff at Acme showed me was something I will never forget. A little kindness really does go a very long way and Acme showed me kindness and compassion.
The tow truck driver was professional and like I said, treated my vehicle with respect.

My elderly Mother went to pick up our vehicle that was impounded, they gave her a vehicle that was similar but NOT our vehicle. Like how does this happen ???? Yes, she should’ve double checked, she was under a lot of stress. I wasn’t able to go due to work. Then to top it off they want to put it on her!! They literally towed it all the way to the house, that vehicle stayed all weekend at our house! You have one job! Double check the VIN numbers.
If I could give them no stars I would. I've gotten my car towed by them before with no problem. They wrote an inventory list and closed the windows when they were down. This time, I had a $300 paddle board in the back of my trunk. I got my car out the next day, & I noticed it wasn't there & all my windows were rolled down. I called to ask about ot & why I never got an inventory list & this lady said to call back Monday, which I did& they didn't want to do anything about it.
I had an airtag on it & saw it being taken from the car.
If you get your car towed from them, make sure you get an inventory list or they'll screw you over!!!

So if you find yourself in a situation where someone stole your car and abandoned it and the cops send the car here, you have to pay cash of at least $250.

It started out as a bad experience because my vehicle wasn't in my name and the original owner is deceased. So i ran into a few issues, but mike was cool. He told me what i needed and i got my car back without being rummaged through and that means a lot to me. Thanks so much!
Our family was traveling thru Albuquerque when our truck broke down on the side of the freeway towing a 32’foot travel trailer. It was late at night. Acme came to the rescue. They were there in 30 minutes and towed us to the RV park. DART was friendly and professional. He was a great help in a bad situation. He also gave us the name of the auto shop where his dad works to fix our truck. It was a rough night but Dart made it a little easier with his patience and kindness. I would definitely recommend ACME. PS. The green chili burger was amazing. Your California customers appreciate the hospitality.
LookPrices are outrageous. The woman who worked the front desk was very helpful and explained each and every charge. Yes I understand that this is a business and that nothing is for free but when you end up paying $400++ when you car was only there from Sunday to Tuesday that is robbery. This is why so many people end up loosing their car, with the hourly wage here in NM being so low how can anyone get a head. It's hard when you need your car to go to work to make money so take care of yourself and your family so of course when a company has such a vital piece of what you need to survive they hike up the price cause theres nothing we can do about it other than fork over every penny.
The place looks as run-down as the people. We were completely friendly and hassle free in picking up our vehicle and TJ tossed our paperwork around. The people had a horrible attitude beginning with the first phone call and they were exceptionally rude throughout. They charged double for cost of gas. They have at least 5 other LLCs listed in their mobile-home office. If you can avoid this "business" you should.
Originally placed a call with NM towing but Acme was dispatched. Arrived when they said they would and driver called me when he was 5 minutes out. Had the pleasure of working with Nick who took care of my vehicle. Since it's a low height vehicle he was diligent and used 2 x 4s to help get the car up the ramp, I usually bring my own with me since this isn't usually the case and appreciated the extra step he took to do this. Ended up having an issue with availability at the garage I was taking it too as well and ended up having to bring it back to my house. Nick worked with dispatch so I wouldn't have to pay double, which was great! Would recommend!
My 1/2 ton truck was recovered on the top of nine mile hill after being stolen a few nights ago. Acme towing was the on call tow company for the day as the truck was missing the 2 left side wheels. The area was soft sand and a bit hard to get to. I decided to go to the scene myself to see the damage. When I arrived, I saw a standard tow vehicle buried in the sand up to the frame. It appeared the driver tried to move to the downside of the hill and got stuck. A not so smart move to begin with given the terrain. Fortunately for the driver, I arrived in a 3/4 ton diesel with a winch, and with some trial and error was able to pull them out of the sand. I will say again, I was able to rescue them, or they would STILL be buried. During the trial and error time, my wife and I were digging around their truck, crawled under it, around it and did what we could to try and speed that recovery up. Both the driver and trainee of that truck stood and watched both my wife and I as we worked to get THIER truck ready to recover. Once this ordeal was over and they were able to begin to recover my stolen truck, the idea of getting 2 wheels on the back of the vehicle became necessary to make the extraction easier. The tow truck had already positioned itself in front of my truck. The driver decided to try and use the boom to drag over the top of the truck to the rear and try to lift the back to secure a wheel. This was a very bad idea, because one the cables dragged on the top of the truck leaving marks and also used the tailgate for leverage as he tried to raise the truck. This folded the tailgate and destroyed it. Once again, this was never a good decision as it could have been dragged to a better spot to allow a jack to get under the truck to secure a wheel. This was eventually the plan that worked to get it on more solid ground. The next problem was getting them to stop as they planned to drag my truck minus wheels on the left side over a mile on a hard dirt surface to the waiting flatbed which would have destroyed the suspension. I had to cut them off to get them to stop. I then said we needed to put a tire on it now. He was very put out about me stopping him and said he had been out here too long already. I had to remind him that he would still be out here had I not have shown up to pull him out. He agreed and I had to jack the truck up myself while they decided to finally slide a wheel onto the truck. I was later informed that they would not take care of the tailgate damage as it was incidental to the tow. This was pure negligence on their part and these 2 had no business even being involved in a tow business or being employed by one. I would never let them touch another one of my vehicles. I would sit and wait for another tow company first. I apparently have to rate at least a star to create this rating but am leaving a 0 star rating in text.
Acme showed up 30 minutes quicker than promised. The driver was very polite and friendly. He towed my truck from Albuquerque to Edgewood, NM. Once we dropped my truck at the mechanic, the driver offered to take me home as well since I had no ride. That was above and beyond and greatly appreciated. I will recommend Acme to everyone from this point forward.
