The lady working the office was extremely rude and unhelpful at first but I then turned out that we got everything figured out n she did help me to get the job done and the car outta the impound.
I gave a friend a ride to get their property out of the car. they weren't able to get it because of a cracked licence. don't know if it was good or bad but it was definitely annoying (for them). there isn't a clearly marked entrance to get to the office we jus happened to get there at the same time a tow truck was going in the gates. the best thing about this place is it was very easy to find.
Don’t use this service my moms getting charged 300$ for trying to take out her car mind you someone stole it and it hasn’t been 24 hours yet as we were trying to explain to the lady up front the lady she starts to cut us off and starts being very unprofessional and rude I do not recommend coming here theirs no good customer service…
Scammers, my family got in an accident. Thier car was towed here, they stayed in contact and was told that they had time to get there vehicle out by a certain time. When they went to pay they were told that they were to late. This place is misleading, criminal, and heartless.
The cops picked this place, and I wish they had not. Very expensive storage fees, and it feels like visiting a penitentiary. Unwilling to do release of the vehicle for repair over the phone, so I had to find someone who could drive me all the way down there so I could take a tour of the razor wire. Yuck yuck yuck.
Other than the amount I'm being charged to get my car out of impound the employee was helpful & nice.
It was easy to find & get to only if you have a ride because the bus doesn't go all the way.
If I were to rate the price part of Star Towing I'd give it 1 star.
They should offer payment plans or work with customers so we're able to get our vehicles out of impound.
I paid $5500 cash for my 2011 Nissan Juke Turbo SV & now I'm having trouble getting it out of impound.
The point I'm at is I need to sell it so I'll have money to get it out & hopefully find another vehicle I can buy.
I used my car for delivering with UberEATS & now I have no job, which means I have no money.
APD really screwed me & my family by impounding my car.
Because APD did that my family & I are homeless on the street!
Winter is around the corner & I'm scared & worried about what's going to happen to us.
APD did not have to get my car impounded they chose to do that.
Star Towing could work with people like me but they choose not to.
Now my loved ones & I are homeless sleeping on the street.
It's unbelievable how in 1 minute everything's fine we're not homeless but the next minute my life & my families life are completely messed up & we're literally sleeping on the street!
Such a sad & stressful situation to be in. I feel like I'm stuck in a hole & instead of climbing out I'm getting buried alive!
Terrible company. I'd give them zero stars if I could. My car was towed there after an accident. Long story short, the insurance took some time to work on the claims and Star Towing sold my car without alerting me. The only mention of this possible action was a tiny clause on the original letter of notice I received from them after they towed the car. No phone call or email to alert me that that action was imminent. Don't use this company! They'll just sell your car without your permission.
They are pretty cool here. Their directions are clear and concise. They have a hard job dealing with tense customers who if they are anything like me are heart broken to see their car like that. It's nice to have a process that runs smoothly and good customer service.
I had my tow truck driver come to tow my
car and the man was extremely helpful and identified it was only the battery! Saved me time and money by avoiding taking it to the dealership. I reccomend!
The worst customer service I've ever experienced being in the customer service industry in hospitality industry I strive to treat people with respect and kindness the girl at the front window was rude rude on the phone rude in person I hope I never have to deal with this tacky ghetto company ever again!!! I felt like I had a positive experience until I received an unsettling piece of certified mail. Im a local business owner, one of my vehicles was involved in an accident and towed to their yard. Went out early the next morning to get my vehicle out of the yard and sent to my mechanic since the damage was easily fixed.
Talked to the office folks, they were kind and courteous. I was missing a document and they allowed me to fax it in and they would tow the vehicle. I paid what I thought was the full balance of what I owed before ever getting my vehicle towed.
It went to the shop and I thought that was the end. Now Im almost a week later and Im getting a certified letter with a lien on my truck for like $40 without so much as a call? The thing is even post marked the day I went to the yard to pay.
This is just grossly unprofessional. I've been stiffed by clients before and I get covering yourself... But $40? Make a phone call, I'll pull out my card.
Would not reccomend to anyone on that basis, and I have several towing services I use on a regular basis
The over the phone customer service was horrible. My car got stolen and towed to their lot and the lady was 0% helpful in anyway. I'm not looking forward in to go pick up this car just by how the lady made me feel over the phone. Horrible service would have rather my car have stayed stolen than deal with this place.
Do not use this service it is crooked... Got charged overly... 298.00 for tow service and administrative fees and gas charges and over night fees... They were rude made me wait to get in... Made me wait to get out and they sicked a tow truck driver to intimidate me... To no avail... Bad service ...don't use them and decline service from them if in a wreck.. Ask officer on sight for another tow truck...
We had a vehicle towed here this morning that got stolen over the weekend. Dealing with this place is almost more stressful than dealing with having your vehicle stolen! After receiving a call from APD this morning that our vehicle had been towed here was a relief. Being close to the yard, we left work and rushed over to see the condition of the vehicle.
Just to go back and see whether or not we’d be able to tow the vehicle out was a nightmare. On top of that, the driver who brought it in had forgotten to leave any records or paperwork with the office for our vehicle. Hence, the receptionist didn’t even believe that the vehicle was even on their lot! It was like pulling teeth to convince them that we are there for a reason. We ended up having to hunt down records somehow that the car on their yard was delivered to...their yard. Almost an hour and a half after being at APD’s records office, we got a call saying they found their record slip. Mind you, APD doesn’t update their reports for 10-15 business days at a time. Could’ve been worse but what’s with the runaround? Can’t check a vehicles VIN number on the dash to our proof of Ownership?
So, already eager to pickup the vehicle, we picked up a trailer and head back to the yard. Apparently from the time we left to the time we got back, their credit card machine magically disappeared. Which we asked ahead of time if they accepted card and the lady approved whilst pointing to the machine. The total bill came out to 300 to get the car out of the yard. Luckily we had cash on hand to pay the bill, but how do you lead people on like that only to just say “whoops, I can’t find the credit card machine...we can only accept cash”? Imagine not having cash, with a truck and trailer, and needing to drive another 30 minutes to a bank to pull 300 bucks and head back to the middle of nowhere. Pain in the a**.
Doubting this is the first time they’ve done that to people, I feel inclined to report this business to the department of Taxation and Revenue. Might as well call an Inscepctor from the City of Albuquerque or the County to come out and check on this place. It should be Red Tagged for not meeting commercial ADA requirements, in my opinion. The runaround can go both ways.
The only reason this post gets two stars is because the receptionist was at least halfway respectable about the situation. You can tell she was trying to just do her job and abide by backward policies and disappearing credit card machines.
Crappy people working at the office reception....they are there to make easy money only, using common sense is work for them and that lady does not want to work.
