I went there only once and waited for fifteen minutes and no one came to help me even though the lady inside told me to wait by the ramp I will never go back there

Idk it's a hassle (CALL AHEAD AN ASK WHAT THIER PRICES ARE FOR THAT DAY CAUSE THEY CAN GO UP AN DOWN DEPENDING ON THE MARKET) when ur a female an u hope ur not getting ripped off for that alone it's disheartening especially when the workers in the front DONT inform u the prices or requirements of certain metals ( SO CALL AN ASK BEFORE)and than the heavyset guy in front uses any an every excuse to not give u the price stated an claim that it's not clean enough or because a small piece of plastic is attached they will use those excuses to give u way less, an the arrogant attitude u get back "if u so happen to question why ur not getting the price quoted an instead a way lesser amount is too much of a hassle... so they just mark as a dirty metal instead an u get way less ......Be cautious!Also the dude in the front he's heavy set make sure ur writing down what the scale says and check what he prints out on ur ticket he has a habit of not putting the correct weight if he knows ur not watching or paying attention last time I went he put a pound less on my aluminum than what I had, but it wasnt worth my time or headache cause i always go here and the attitude u get if u question him just really aint worth the argument. just make sure u pay attention an watch scales.
If you want your kid to be cheated by $12-20 on aluminum cans Albuquerque Metal Recycling is the place to go. My son was collecting and smashing cans for two months, recyclers throw them on the scale, and from the scale on fork lift, before I was able to see the weight, I was paid $ .40/pound while other places paid .50
Worst place in New Mexico to go they rob the disabled people had 54 pounds clean aluminum paid for 10 pounds yellow brass had 25 pounds clean they tare 18 pounds only paid for 7 pounds don’t go to this place New Mexico they are a total rip off of the disabled people. They refused to give us our stuff back take to another place that don’t even take they the biggest ripoff in Albuquerque don’t go you will get burned what you worked hard for everyone.
From my mom -Laughing at my sale to them! Like he knew I was getting ripped off for the 93 lbs of steel I was selling them. I received $4.85 for the steel on 4 rotors, 2 struts and all brake pads. My 2nd time to feel cheated and this embarrassed!
This place is huge, staff is friendly and directive. I've never had an issue. Lots of trucks in and out, but plenty of space. Claw operation is top notch, picked metal up from flat bed with ease. Highly recommended.
Great service. No appointment needed. No charge for taking old cellphones and laptop. No wait and employees came out to my car to get my electronics. Very prompt response to my email about services. Very courteous.
I have been going there for quite a few years and have watched them grow, one piece of equipment at a time. It is fun to watch the huge crushers and sorting machines working. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Kudos to Daniel at the weigh station, and Albert in back, keeping the customers flowing in and out.
