Awful customer service was in a bind where it looks like I’m sleeping in my car tonight and dude slams the phone on me. I’d never bring my car here if I had a choice
Car wash is horrible! Had no problem raising the price but the actual machine that takes the money is a joke can't even see the screens! Half the buttons dont work the right side dryer hardly works. 45 seconds is not enough time. Little money and maintenance would help. It's called upkeep
Was having problems with my vehicle to where I wasn’t running correctly working Rick and Andrew thoroughly checked over my vehicle to make sure that they got it running the way it’s supposed to run. I will definitely be back and I appreciate all their service I would recommend them to anybody.
CAR WASH DAMAGED MY VEHICLE. Brushes and cloth were not clean when I went through and as a result my windshield is scratched and chipped so badly it needs to be replaced. Other windows and paint also damaged to lesser degree. This outdated car wash is anything but “soft touch.” I spoke with a man from the garage and showed him the damage. He completely dismissed the possibility that their car wash had damaged my vehicle and refused to accept any responsibility. He walked away and left me standing there. If you value your vehicle and wallet do yourself a favor and walk away from Steckel’s. The icing on the cake was the wash was poor quality and didn’t even get my vehicle clean. No one goes to a car wash expecting to emerge with damaged glass and paint. What a mess.
Needed a used car evaluation and they got me in right away, did a through evaluation and pointed out all the pluses and minus’s of the vehicle. Even tightened a few loose bolts. Andrew was awesome! If we were locals this would be our new shop!

This towing service has no regard for the age of a car. I watched how quickly my poor old, precious to me SUV was loaded and jerked up the tow ramp. I am a business owner in town and my car is my lifeline. Very unfortunate that the car was towed here. They backed the car up and onto a hill/brush, did not put on the emergency brake. And when I turned it on there were lights flashing everywhere about axles etc. I was charged $550. A whopping $180 tow for less than a mile drive. I could have gotten the car the next day but they were closed early, so unbeknownst to me $45/day storage, amount per day yet they are closed Sunday also, and Monday I had no way to get the car. Not friendly to local businesses or anyone for that matter. The owner/tow person lied and said all the axle etc lights were blinking when he got the car. Please, lies.
Its illegal to drive golf carts on the streets of Belvidere Nj. But this owner continues to do so? Does he get special treatment from the police? The town? If i did it i would get a ticket and my cart impounded?
I'm a relatively new customer at Steckel's but members of my family have been going to Steckel's for quite some time now. They're not a big organization, but so far I've seen that their pros have taken really good care of our vehicles for many years. Their staff are professionals, their pricing are reasonable, but what is important is that we trust them with all of our automotive services and repair needs, and as long as they continue to treat us respectfully and fairly we will continue to remain loyal to their business. this station has a car wash, it does nothing but put water on the car no soap and if your lucky the blower works drivers beware do go there, not cheap either. i asked i guess the owner that the wash wasn't working right he came out looked didn't even acknowledge i was waiting for his answer, not even to say run the car thru again good faith nothing he walked away. so now im really done again beware stay away
DO NOT GET TOWED FROM THESE CRIMINALS. If I could zero stars to these theives I would. My car was towed and after being charged a tow fee of $150, they tacked on a few extras including: $35 for labor (to pull a lever on truck to get the car on), $55 admin fee (to print my reciept), and a yard fee of $40 (to open the gate) Aside from that, they charged storage $45 for each day. Here's a public message for you John Steckel, just becuase you're legally allowed to prey on the helpless people who get stuck near your garage doesn.t mean that you should.
Amazing garage they do not over charge or screw you over like some of these comments say. They have great prices my boyfriend has been going there since 2016 i believe we have never had a problem. ?
My daughter was nearly killed in an auto accident Jan 2019 at 1am in the morning 7 miles from this garage.
Car was totaled and apparently Steckels was called even though she had AAA ins. She was in state of mind to make any decision!
When I called the next day to ask if car was totaled he said yes. I went there to get belongings and he handed me an $805 bill and said he would take $605!!! Told me he had a big clean up on road! How long does it take to pick up a few parts from a car up? 10 mins maybe?
I understand a 1am call is inconvenient but $605 for a 7 mile tow!
He was nice enough to drop storage costs in his big empty lot but I mailed him Bill of Sale so he will get something from scrap yard for it.

Great home town service. The owner is the nicest guy who's happy to help! He let me park my semi truck there for the weekend in a secure fenced in locked lot. Thanks Steckel's
