We so happened to have been asked to volunteer and assist for a job that involved a home owner who is a compulsive hoarder. There, we salvaged metal and shared our knowledge with tree removal procedures we learned from another volunteer project.
The neighbors commended us almost every day for putting in some 12 hours or more each day to help that.
We would be in remise if we were not to have mentioned that Fortune Metal Recycling helped us have a somewhat smooth transition.
The manager and workers were Spanish speaking and were shocked that we can speak Spanish. They were very cordial.
We were a bit disappointed with one of the workers at back. He did not allow for us to take a picture. There is no signage stating such. Post information and we will be more informed.

I'm here on a daily basis. The employees and workers try to get you out as soon as possible in a professional manner. The girls at the window are polite, nice, and professional, especially Luisa. I Would recommend others to this business.
Avoid Saturdays, it's a madhouse.
It was a fast and easy process. But the girl in the front with long black hair didn’t do her job right processing me and then when confronted by her coworker, she made a blank face as if we spoke in Chinese and then denied it. Typical “I don’t care about my job” behavior because I’m too busy talking.
Don’t you love it when these females at a front desk of these businesses think they’re the queen of England?? lady please you can’t even do your job right.

Lady at the counter was very rude and tried to scam me by calling stainless light steel. The weight was terribly off, and the ticket did not reflect the type of steel I dropped off. Don’t expect them to give you an honest deal. Like all scrap yards- be aware of this and you should be fine. The yard was clean and the workers on the ground are helpful.
went on a busy day and the guy gave me the wrong receipt and I did realize till I left and noticed it was for wire and I brought in copper and he was nice and looked it up and payed me the balance and didn't re

If I could give this place negative stars I would. I don't normally complain but one of my biggest rules is, I don't play with your money, do not play with mine. We have multiple trucks coming to this place yet they seem to decide to rob us. The 1st red flag is how they don't have the weight in display while you're on the scale, they want you to trust them as they rob you blind. They're adjusting numbers after you get off the scale. The same truck went on 2 separate days with completely different loads but somehow they gave the same money for both days. At this point they're just making up numbers as they go. We came for the convenience, not to get robbed so we'll have to take our business somewhere else.
After have been to many scrap yards Fortune in Rahway is by far the cleanest and easiest to do business with. I was in and out in minutes and will definitely be going there in the future. Would 100% recommend anyone to do business with them.
Large yard with distinct areas for various metal and other recyclables. Lots of help around to guide you to the right area. A pair of full length scales handle in and outbound truck traffic, and two more ground scales at the less than truckload area. Payments are accurate and fair, secure and immediate. Have your metals ready to be weighed because even though you'll get help classifying your material, there is no processing nor cleaning it there. Keep the lines moving.

Every time I go to Riverside Fortune I have a great experience and I've been going here since 2003! They pay you well for your precious metals regardless of what season it is. The friendly and courteous staff gets you in and out in a flash. The staff here is like family, always glad to see you and keeps you having a good time!
I've never had a problem for the 5yrs I've been going to them. I mostly use the small scale. They have no problem with you standing on the scale and have multiple digital scales. Also the best rates I can find around.
