What can I say. The room are filthy, literal excrement stains on the curtains, windows look like they are covered in I don’t know what, and for a extra fun item, they will place a hold on your card for “estimated incidentals”. How much? According to Austin, the manager, they charge whatever they want. Will they tell you? No. Again, Austin said they don’t have to. In my case it was $250 for estimated incidentals, for a 2 night stay. Beware giving them your credit card info. Austin seems very cavalier about charging whatever he wants on your card. For clarity, what’s discussed on the reservation form is “the hotel may charge a fee for estimated incidentals” and an amount is not disclosed. According to Hilton corporate this amount is 50$ per night or one nights stay, whichever is less, however it appears the managers decision to stray from the corporate policy was as much of a surprise to me as it was to them. Additionally, placing charges, even holds, on a customers card without notification or agreement violates PCI policies, which was also a surprise to Visa, when I notified them. They informed me businesses may not place holds on your card without notice, and let me know they’d be opening an investigation into this property and their attitude towards handling customer cards and what they referred to as ‘a clear case of fraud’. Regardless, my statements stand. The hotel seems to think they can place holds on any amount they want, despite Hilton corporate having a clearly published policy, and believe if you check in digitally, that they can do so without notifying you. I would exercise caution before booking here as their attitude towards protecting customer credit cards seems a bit lax in my opinion, in addition to the clearly uncleaned rooms.

First time stayed to this hotel and area. Room is good and all amenities but breakfast is very disappointing as not a many varieties to look for specially fruits. Location is not so bad.

We stayed in a suite with a closed door bedroom. The room was great. Had everything we needed. The bed was good. Checking in was rather Ho-hum with no special effort made to welcome us or a cheerful smile. Actually, the check-out person the next morning was much more pleasant and cheerful. Sunday morning breakfast seemed to have a few less items than other Homewood Suites we have stayed in. And we have stayed in quite a few the last two weeks. I was the first to get coffee when the woman working there said it was ready. I noted that the waste bin was nearly overflowing. Apparently, it had not been emptied in some time. The woman who seemed to be in charge of putting on breakfast sat at one of the tables using her phone. Overall, the breakfast was fine, not great, but okay. The tables in the breakfast area are obviously new and high tech. Just about every seat has its own USB-A port. Nice touch there. Finding the hotel is a bit confusing. Both Apple Maps and Google Maps have a hard time with the actual street address. I’d suggest clicking on the adjacent Atria, also a Hilton property, an assisted living facility, I believe. That will bring you in off Raritan Blvd. You’ll actually be coming in to the rear of the property, but this is where most of the parking is. You also avoid the one-way streets that seem to confound map apps.

Positive: Room, furniture and breakfast hosted by hotel employee Negative: Front desk guy misled us on check-in. We had to walk for a long way towards back of the hotel to find an elevator. Unkind. Next day, I discover an elevator close to the lobby, which would’ve been perfect for the room we were assigned.

The service was perfect..the staff was beyond the best..i will return..austin the manager and i think his name was Vincent were sooo helpful with stuff.. In the daytime the breakfast service staff were soo friendly..and the desk staff although i didnt get their names made me feel so at home.. I will be back. Small note ..they need better toilet paper..and you can hear people above you if they jump like velicraptors..i felt bad for the mom though and didnt ask them to quiet down..i been there with toddlers..so if you need total quiet go to floor three..we were fine and were very comfortable.

This Homewood Suites by Hilton was up to standards and the staff was welcoming and helpful. The room was nice and accommodated all five of us staying. As Diamond and loyal Hilton members, this was an obvious choice for us. The usual cost is around $120-$240ish depending on when you stay. The room also comes with a kitchen, bathroom, and a living room. Overall, a nice experience. Wouldn’t mind staying here again.

I had the pleasure of staying at this Homewood Suites last weekend. I picked this hotel for its location and price and not necessarily because I needed a full suite with kitchen and living space. Having said that, should I need a hotel in this area for a longer stay in the future I would happily stay here. My stay was great and I was impressed with everything from location to staff to the cleanliness of my suite. All of the furniture was comfortable and even with the Parkway entrance right outside my window I had no complaints about noise. It was great having the convenience store right there as well as the free breakfast in the morning. I felt truly welcomed and comfortable throughout my stay and hope to stay here again in the future.

I was genuinely surprised. I had a 1bd suite and the rooms are really nice. They’re extremely well equipped, it’s basically an Airbnb. Lots of plates, bowls, utensils, cookware, etc. The appliances and fixtures aren’t low end hotel ones either, they’re nice!

This hotel has gone down since the COVID-19 pandemic shut down. I was disappointed that they paved over the pool. I was chased down the stairs by a barking/growling dog whose owner had it on a retractable leash. I was kept awake by another dog who barked anytime anyone walked within fifteen feet of its hotel room. They did not have any vegetarian options left one hour before breakfast ended. I asked for more oatmeal, but they said no. My room was not serviced until after 5 PM in the evening. After servicing, there was not an extra roll of toilet paper, even though the current roll was nearly empty, there was not an extra box of tissue, even though the tissue was on the colored sheets, indicating the box was almost empty, there was not an extra roll of paper towel, even though the current roll was almost empty, and there was no soap for handwashing dishes. I had to go to the front desk to get all the supplies. The phone by the bed never worked. The handy person did not know how to fix it. But he left a work clipboard on the pillow I was supposed to sleep on that night. The kitchenette had a cutting board, but no knife sharp enough to use on a cutting board. I had to ask for the two complementary bottles of water Hilton Honors members are supposed to get upon check-in. Hilton Honors gave me points to make up for what was a very unpleasant stay.

Four, it’s nice. The one bedroom has a sofa bed, they say it’s a full kitchen but it’s missing an oven. It does come with plates and silverware and some pots to cook with. The free breakfast is average. Very clean. None of the cleaning people that I encountered spoke English. It says it has a pool but it’s been closed since COVID

Nice renovations Hilton! I stay here when I visit Jersey/NYC. Always fresh linens, a welcoming staff, and an attentive staff during breakfast. They have new furniture, carpeting, wall color and new decor throughout the hotel and rooms. I enjoyed a peaceful stay in a comfortable bed. It is convenient to get to and from the Newark Airport. The NJ Transit to New York is also a drive or Lyft away.

While not a 5 star hotel, it’s not pretending to be and it does what it does very well, hence my 5 star rating. The one bedroom suites are large and provide everything you need: kitchenette, good sleeper couch, a shared bathroom that is in between the bedroom and living room sleeping areas - if you have kids on the sleeper couch you know how important that is lol. Staff is very warm and kind and helpful. Location seconds from the parkway, very convenient. Plenty of free parking. Great value.

My stay at the hotel has been enjoyable overall, with a few minor setbacks. The atmosphere is welcoming, and I appreciate the professionalism and accommodating nature of the front desk staff. There is a convenience store onsite. The Wednesday social is a great touch, adding a sense of community to the experience. The Food Attendants work diligently to ensure fresh meals, even amidst their busy schedules—I truly commend their hard work. While the housekeeping team started off strong, there was a noticeable decline after the first few days, prompting me to purchase my own cleaning supplies. They do leave fresh supplies daily so that's a plus. Additionally, some updates could enhance the space, such as addressing stains on the curtains. These are natural signs of wear and tear, but a refresh would elevate the overall ambiance. Safety is generally well-maintained, and though there is no pool, the gym provides a great alternative for staying active. One inconvenience was the dishwasher being out of service throughout my stay, but I managed. That aside, having on-site laundry has been a major convenience, and I remain grateful for the staff and the effort they put into maintaining the space. There are plenty of great restaurants and shops in the area. I’ll be updating my thoughts after the full duration of my stay, but for now, I appreciate the experience and the areas that contribute to a comfortable visit.

Great hotel. Was in town for Rutgers graduation and stayed 4 nights. King size suite. Clean and very big room. Comfy bed, kitchenette, living room, separate bed room, big bathroom. Complimentary breakfast was delicious and so much to choose from. Front desk was very friendly and helpful. Great location off the Garden State Parkway. Would stay here again and would highly recommend.

I had an extremely frustrating experience trying to resolve an urgent issue at 1:30 AM. Initially, I contacted Expedia, who directed me to Hilton. When I reached out to the front desk at Hilton, I was transferred again and ended up dealing with a representative who was incredibly rude. They hung up on me, made me wait unnecessarily, and were unprofessional throughout the interaction. This left me stranded in a very difficult situation in the middle of the night. Such poor service is unacceptable, and I will be reporting this experience. I hope the management takes steps to improve their customer service.

Rooms are big however the furniture, curtains and carpets all need to be replaced asap. They are very worn out, carpet had stains and sofa had rips. The only positive is that they have rooms with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms which is great for more than 4 people. Also, the breakfast was borderline acceptable, the eggs had a very bad smell to them to the point we had to toss it away.

I had never been to this hotel before, but my family and I were staying there for a weekend trip near Newark. The lobby was clean and had a pleasant smell. Our room was decent, but it felt a bit dirty, and the shower was even worse. There was rust around the drain, which made the shower look and feel unhygienic; it needs to be cleaned or repaired. ||We had breakfast the next morning, and while the food was acceptable, I would recommend going to a local breakfast spot instead. Overall, I would suggest staying here, especially if you need to catch a flight to Newark.

The worst hotel I ever stayed at. Will never stay there again. They had childrens sleep study in the room next to mine and child was screaming for many hours during the night. Went to the front desk to let them know and was told that they would kick me out of the hotel if I complained again. The child sounded like they were being abused and there was no other voices or activity coming from the room. Didn't offer to move my room. Was told manager would talk to me about some comp but never heard a thing. Stayed there in the past and always thought this hotel was sort of sketchy. They made me pay a $150.00 deposit as well. In all my travels, never ever had to pay a deposit. Have been a Hilton rewards member for years.

Our 2 night stay was comfortable. The nightstands by the bed each had a drawer (which many other hotels don't have!), & my husband appreciated that there were a lot of electrical outlets. The bedroom in the suite had a strange layout though in that in order to leave the bedroom, you had to go through the bathroom to get to the living room, kitchen area, & door. Usually a hotel bedroom has a door that exits into the living room area. The suite was a little rundown (e.g., rust in the bathtub & cracks in the toilet). We were told that the hotel though was going to be remodeled starting in Jan., 2025. Also, the the free breakfast could have used some work... The 1st morning, there was no oatmeal, which my husband enjoys, & no wheat or multigrain bread. The 2nd morning, there was no orange juice. Also, there were no sweet bakery items offered on either morning, such as mini blueberry or bran muffins. When I mentioned the lack of oatmeal & orange juice at check-out, the man at the front desk said they were having supply issues.

This place should not be allowed to carry the Hilton name. It is falling apart, literally ! only stay if you’re desperate to be in the area , there’s very few hotels nearby.||I could’ve pushed the table over in the bedroom that’s how wobbly it was. The chairs in the little kitchenette were worn off and the table was no better. The couch was a crime. We pulled it out to possibly let my daughter sleep on it, but there was no way she would’ve even been able to lay down without nearly touching the floor. On the positive side the bathroom was very clean. I hope they remodel soon or they’re going to have to tear the place down. Great location.

Due to an emergency at my home, I needed to get a hotel at last minute with my toddler and infant daughter. The room we got was perfect for our needs, and we needed to extend our stay for a few days. Vincent at the desk went way above and beyond to help us get to a room that would ease transition since the room type we had wasn't available for the extended time. Service here is amazing and their timely delivery and friendly demeanor helped to salvage our Holiday week despite circumstances.

Nice hotel. Little tricky getting in/out of parking lot. Staff very friendly and helpful, patient to answer all questions. Hotel room was clean, bed very comfortable. Breakfast was good with several choices with standard cereal, fruit, hot food eggs and sausage. Would recommend and stay here again.

As a Hilton Honors Diamond member, I enjoy staying at different properties throughout Hilton's portfolio. Needing to be in this part of New Jersey with an early start to my day, I decided to stay here. ||As I always do, the day before arrival I checked in and chose my room via the app. Important to me was to be on the side away from the Garden State Parkway. I was able to park on that side and went in a side door with my Digital Key and up to my chosen room. ||The hotel appears to be bit worn, like it needs a refresh of its carpet, furniture, paint, etc. My room's furniture had chips in the wood . HVAC, run by a thermostat in the living room, was hard to control , in that the temperature was either too cold or stuff. It was so noisy it had to be turned to a high temperature setting on a warm night, so that it would not awaken me.||The suite was amply sized for me. I didn't really much use the kitchen or living room but spent most of my time in the bedroom. The bathroom was strange, in that the area with the sink was a wide foyer (which one has to pass through to get to the bedroom) but the part with the toilet and bathtub was small. The bathroom door had to be closed in order to be able to step in and out of the shower. The sink counter because it was in a larger area had enough room to put down my toiletries.||TV and WiFi worked fine, as did online check-out from the app. The front desk was only encountered once when I purchased some snack items, and the staff was friendly.||Overall, the stay was not terrible, but having stayed in newer and rehabilitated Hilton family properties, it was a disappointment to me.

First let me say that I adore the staff here. They are all friendly and I have gotten familiar with many of them due to how frequently I stay here. I have received nothing less than top notch customer service. The location is also extremely ideal because it is literally next to the parkway. It is pet friendly and being able to cook in the room is very convenient. The pool has been closed indefinitely. This hotel is in need of renovations. The rooms are very outdated. While I think house keeping does a great job there are just things about the hotel and rooms that are old, stained and worn out. With the amount of business this hotel receives they should be able to make the much needed improvements. Parking also fills up very quickly at night. No diamond member reserved spots. They do have check in through the app and key access through the app so you do not necessarily need to check in at the front desk.
