This is a fun place. In my video, Grok captured a floating old lady ghost. I fed it a photo from one of the history plaques. The hike up to the old cemetery from the bottom is a challenging stepped climb. At the top some witchery had taken place! The surrounding lore of that area is spooky. Research the town’s history and also check out Weird New Jersey’s take on it before visiting if you like being freaked out! If you’re a seasoned hiker, there are miles & miles of trails. It’s a great hiking spot with a rich and fascinating history.

The audio tour was great. It really bought to life the village of Feltville through colorful detail and good route instructions. If you miss the cemetery the first time like I did, make a right at the tall tree stump.

Great experience bringing the family to the village. Relaxing walk around a time forgotten.

A nice and quick place to explore, lots of history in this abandoned village. The old structures are run down and possess a nostalgic charm. You currently can't go into the buildings, but there are signs that funds are being prepared for preservation work. There's an extended decline to walk to the village and the path to the cemetery is an actual hike. We went in and Sunday and the parking lot was almost full so perhaps go early. Nice place overall

Beautiful open trail. The houses all say no trespassing, so it’s beautiful how preserved that they still are. The trail itself could continue to go on for miles! And the parking was easy, they had a parking lot.

This place was epic!! My kids loved walking around the structures and seeing all of the history. The story behind the village leaves alot to the imagination which made it even better.

Watching Reservation is a very pleasant area to hike around, but the village itself is rather run down. Although progress to restore the buildings is ongoing, there is little to do actually do here.

This place is a pleasant surprise, it has history, old houses to look at, and the trails are well maintained. It feels peaceful walking in the woods and the trees are beautiful. Even on a hot day, the temperature is comfortable in the woods. Interesting place to visit :)

Very cool place to hike! Easy to navigate. Both paved and unpaved trails. Dog friendly (leashed). Bathrooms available. Parking up front. Well-maintained and interesting history of the area. Buildings are closed off but you can walk on the porches of some. End of the paved path is a building people can rent for weddings/events (Masker’s Barn).

This was a pretty cool place to check out with the family. There is free parking at the front which is easy to get to and right off the highway. There is a lot to see in the deserted village itself. A lot of the old homesteads to see with signs in front of everything describing what you're looking at and giving you the background. There are also a ton of hiking trails to explore. Definitely bring some hiking boots if you choose to do those. Over all a great time.

Cute area to hike. Tons of trails. We kept it short and only hiked the felt village area. There is a geocache at this location which was a bonus. Trails are well marked and well kept. I hope they continue to to preserve these beautiful old buildings

There is a good combination of history along with assorted difficulty levels of hiking trails. Climbing steep hills was a great way to get back into shape during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Much history here. A beautiful hike in the woods with clear trails. Not very dense with trees so you can see pretty far all around. Best in the fall season.

Great place to walk and even hangout with friends, most of the buildings are closed off but you can get into some basements from the back if you try😀, it's very cool to walk around and think how people lived back then and that someone build a whole village basically to print out flyers and such for one persons business, just crazy. Cool place.

Best place for a walk and chill with Nature: the best gift we ever had. If you ever want to spend some quality time either sole or with your person, this is the best place to go, peaceful, beautiful....its heaven.

4.10.21 Bathrooms were not open, not sure why. Everyone was trying to get into the building. Cool place to hike, few trails that branch off with pretty clear blazes. Deserted village on main paved trail, cemetary and other dirt trails run off this trail. Hiking is pretty rocky and uneven but beautiful/peaceful next to the water. Spent about 3 hours here but if you're only hiking the paved trail and reading all the signs, would probably only be about an hour. Definitely worth it. This was my 2nd visit but first time really hiking, did 5 miles and still did not cover all the trails. Update 2023. Renovations on some of the housing being done

Great place to visit. There's trails to walk, old houses you'll pass by. By the barn you can sit and eat. Dog friendly. Had a great time. Next time going to explore the other side

went here today and it was alittle underwhelming. however, it is very well maintained, clean and a great spot to walk around on a nice day. kid friendly, dog friendly. there is a parking lot up above with a map of trails. there are also clean public bathrooms in the back if the main building I posted a photo of. there is a small cemetery in the woods behind that house as well.

Follow Chasing Shots on IG for more photos! Explorers Dream✨ This place was pretty cool. I liked that there are restrooms and many places to sit if you wanted to rest or take in the views. There are trails through the woods which are fairly easy to navigate if you stay on the main paths. It was interesting and recommended for those who like to explore a bit!

About 45 mins from my home, but worth the drive, It ended up to be a perfect Sunday, such beautiful hiking trails and some great historic sites, definitely worth paying a visit. Very unexpected, plenty of parking and pretty easy trails.

Been coming to visit this village since I was young and decided to take a ride and shoot some photos. Very busy there. Lots of trails for hiking and biking. The village itself is beginning to really fall apart. Only a few buildings are being kept up on. The rest nature is reclaiming and torn tarps litter the landscape. The place has a very interesting history, it's a shame it's fallen into such disrepair.

Great place to take a hike with your dog. Pull up a map of the place on your gps because it's a rather large park. Certain trails are more treacherous than others so wear good shoes and don't forget water and bug spray!

Beautiful place if you are a nature lover, there are multiple trails available for you to complete, historic trail is bigger one. You can come here with your family and restrooms are also available. Highly recommend !! For public parking search for Berkeley Heights parking lot.

Glad to have found this place when looking for "things to do in Union NJ"! I'm here on holiday from the PH and my relatives from Union didn't even know this was here. Pleasant surprise for us all. It's a nice, quiet place to walk around and learn a little bit of some NJ history. The visitor center was closed when we were there, but there were brochures and markers everywhere, so a self tour was easy to do.
