Beautiful views, dog-friendly, good service, and good food. However, menu is limited and overpriced. There should also be more indoor seating for crowded days, such as today, which was a game day. The long tables had only 1-3 people. Those can be replaced by smaller tables to accommodate more smaller parties.
My husband and I came here for the first time and the views were Nice..it was good Time and relaxing looking at the water..the food was okay...I would go back for the views and the atmosphere ?

However you spend it, it is a one-of-a-kind way to enjoy the day. The indoor space even has mister fans to stay cool.
The welcoming staff add to the charm, and locals say the sunsets here are nothing short of spectacular. Afterward, take a stroll along the walking path at Riverview Beach Park. Fun fact: The state of Delaware actually controls the Delaware River in this area! Who knew? Dip your paw in the water and you are in Delaware!
A nice place. Friendly staff. Decent prices. The food was good! It was a fantastic overcast evening. No humidity or direct sun. We were there for 3+ hours. They had live music. It was a great time with family. A few drinks and watching the ships sail by. We'll be back when we are in Jersey again!
Really fun place. Was at a birthday party and the staff was great, fast service every time I hit the bar...could have had drinks delivered but I like going to bar and the atmosphere was scenic and quite beautiful. It's a bit of a haul for me to get there, but if in the area I will definitely stop for a beer. Thanks
Nice relaxed bar with plenty of things to do. I saw a few people had brought their children and dogs. It kind of has a SoCal vibe but at the same time you're looking over the water at Delaware. The sights are incredible, as far as I remember I dont remember music playing through speakers or anything. There was a live band at 6pm but I didnt stick around for it. Overall the normal bar food was good. Wasn't great but it was good. The guacamole didnt have too much flavor to it. The pizzas that were made on the food truck were good but tiny. There's ping pong, giant jenga, giant connect 4, some kind of slide game and cornhole. Plenty of seating and fireplaces
Fun place to grab a bit and a libation. Good selection of beers on tap and fun mixed drink special. Food trucks come by closer to 5pm. It seems. Near water and good for a sunset ! Recommend ??
Really cool spot. Very scenic especially at night. Cool to see the Wilmington skyline & Avenue Norths two buildings (on 202 Concord Pike) from the NJ side. A bit pricey for the size drinks etc. But, worth it IMO.
This place is awesome! The only reason they didnt get a perfect 5 was because the drinks came in a little later.
I love the entire concept of this place. You seat yourself. There is a QR code
for the menu on every table. Place your order and pay electronically. You will get a text message once order is ready. And the order was super fast! And the problem was, the drinks werent ready right away. If you are like me, I drink and eat. So not having my drinks right away, was a little disappointment ... just a little. (and drinks usually get served first after all). They need to have their bar people catch up with their kitchen. However, having said that, overall, the service was still fast compared to others.
I also love the idea that they have a small but good menu. The
lobster sandwich was so good and so was the steak sandwhich.
They had a live band that night. Not sure if that is nightly.
Great place to watch the sunset. Family friendly.

Nice place to go for a bite to eat & relax by the river. They have a fire pit sitting area as well and an area to play corn hole. Live music . They serve alcohol & mix drinks that are already made. Their menu is simple fast food. If you like, that is the perfect place .
Absolutely fantastic! Had duch a great time. I could take my dog and there was Food, cocktails, live music, firepits all with a river view. Just a great evening

We had a surprise going away party and Brad made sure to answer our questions and reserve an area for us. I live in Florida and everything still ran smooth. We had about 60 people show. We were able to decorate and just relax. Maddie was our bartender and a manager(I’m sorry I forget your name) was helping her when needed. Maddie was great, wonderful personality, knowledgeable and gave great recommendations. Our guest of honor was completely surprised and thanks to the venue for helping bring it all together. We will most certainly come back when we visit.
Atmosphere, service and food do not disappoint. Beautiful views, fire pits and comfy Adirondack chairs. The absolute best spot to sit back and relax. Thank you to the staff for all you do!
No complaints about location, no waitresses so when you go to order your food just be ready to get handed a kids menu. I would gadly go back but only if I was closer. I'd eat at home and go sit there for a drink. A lot of kids though so if your not a fan of that especially at a bar then I don't recommend it
The food is just ok but it's a great atmosphere. The views are great and there's usually entertainment. There are corn hole games set up and plenty of outdoor seating.
I LOVE this place. The staff are always friendly, the food is good and quick, and they have such a variety of food trucks that rotate. Truly, nothing beats getting the crab cake sandwich or rib sandwich and the Orange Crush, sitting by the fire pit, and listening to the band.
Being one of the three bars in the area you would think the effort to try to stand out would be minimum, but after visiting a few times I can honestly say The Shipyard is my favorite bar in pennsville.
The Shipyard offers an outdoor and indoor bar experience with an emphasis on free roaming. There is so much free space here you never feel on top of people, but you also don’t feel too far from the party. They also have QR codes on each table where you can order on your cell phone, and while I do wish they would bring the food to your table it is nice that they at least bring your drinks to you. This is really helpful to avoid lines or if you aren’t too keen on crowds or human interaction (talking to you, the reader with anxiety).
There are plenty of activities to do here despite not having a pool table. Activities include: table tennis, shuffle board, cornhole, board games, live music and plenty more. It really adds to the open atmosphere.
Speaking of the atmosphere, The Shipyard offers an incredible view of the Delaware river and the Delaware Memorial Bridge. I would even add nature watching to the list of activities because you can sit back, drink and watch Mother Nature in live time in one of the most unique ecosystems.
The employees also add to the peaceful environment. I’ve read negative reviews about the staff, but all I found was a pleasant welcome and an owner who cares about making his patrons satisfied. They hosted the Nick Mowers 5K, which was my first time visiting The Shipyard and Eric was an awesome bartender, who I think is also the owner. Cheers guys.
Finally onto the drinks and food. They offer quite a selection of beer. Nothing too crazy, but it’s definitely not boring. Their mixed drinks are pretty decent and reasonably priced in my opinion. The Beach Bum seems to be a go to for me.
I didn’t have the whole menu, but let me tell you what 5 dollars bought in a hot dog. It was honestly the best hot dog I think I’ve ever had. If you aren’t a fan of their food or menu, The Shipyard has a food truck or two that is different every day or at least every weekend. Check their Facebook page for updates about that.
There’s a lot to like about this place and it’s another reason to look forward to the weekends in the summer. I encourage anyone to come check it out for themselves!
The atmosphere was amazing. Quick Service good food. But however the band they had the night I was there was a girl on a piano and a dude on a guitar. Labor Day weekend. Probably the worst band I've ever seen. I literally could have fell asleep. That's the only reason why I gave it four stars. Other than that it was great

Tonight was probably my 5th time visiting here, and I absolutely love it! It was, however, the first time our food was not the best. We got the chicken caprese sandwich, and it wasn't hot, not even warm. The chicken was good, and the sandwich was flavorful, but it could have been better hot or warm. Oh, and the musicians tonight (9/3/23)... definitely not the venue for them.?
PS... the lobster roll... my favorite! ❤️
This place is great. Definitely a perfect spot for a date night or family game night. The atmosphere is great. Right on the river and the view is phenomenal. The lawn chairs are a perfect touch with the lighting. I did feel like the food was a little over priced for being majority a la carte but the portions were huge! Nothing is a “side” portion and if you’ve never been no one is really welcoming in telling you how the order and delivery process works. Any questions I had it felt like I was inconveniencing the staff but all in all it is a great place.
A modern waterfront bar with food and adult beverages. Just about every seat in the venue has a waterfront view and prices are fairly reasonable.
When I visited on an afternoon in July all seats were open air and the indoor seats had shade but was warmer than the outside when I was there. Likely due to the kitchen. Out door picnic table seating was a little uncomfortable.
Service is available separately at the bar and at the kitchen. Food is only by pickup at a window and had no table service. Drinks ordered via the app are brought to your table.
I really loved the experience. The modern approach to service while convenient and speedy, lacks something when you take the waitress out of the picture.
Overall the place is worth a visit, especially on a nice weather day.
My husband and I came here for some food and also to celebrate our pups 3rd birthday (she loves attention). Everyone and everything was absolutely amazing!! All of the bartenders were so great especially Judy who not only treated us like family (the good kind),
but also helped our pup get attention by telling people everyone it was her birthday. Everyone in the kitchen was also so helpful and accommodating with my food allergy. And most importantly, they treated our pup like an absolute queen!! She was given a bowl of water, a treat, and countless pets and kisses. This was my first time here but will not be my last. This is exactly the kind of place every town wants to have??
We didn't have food so can't rate. Got there close to closing. On the water at night was beautiful but many mosquitoes. Did rain earlier as well. No bottle pours or tap. Just frozen alcohol cocktails, canned alcoholic drinks and beers. Dog friendly. Will be back during day to see if less bugs and try other things. Plenty of space and cornhole.
This place is fantastic !!!! Great atmosphere, was fairly busy during my visit but I never waited long to be served by a bartender which is always a plus!. Not a large selection of food but what we ordered was delicious. Using the QR code to order drink and food was very easy/ convenient. Overall was a great experience, looking forward to coming back.
Nice riverside atmosphere with chairs and tables, fire pits, corn hole, etc. Good place to hear live music. Good beverage selection. Food choices limited but that doesn't deter from overall relaxed atmosphere. Kid friendly. Next to river front park. Easy access from Delaware and PA. Great views of Delaware River. Bring your chair is desired.
Beautiful views, and a really good staff. It was incredibly nice that Emily came out, and wiped down our chairs with towels since it had been raining earlier in the day. Truly making the experience much more comfortable as we gazed out in the slowly flowing river. Ty for our time there it was very nice, we look forward to coming back.
