01/05/2026: Today was my second visit to Brick Recycling within several years. I called first before visiting. The person answering the phone was polite and informative. Going there, the office personnel were friendly and gave good directions for their site. Disposing of an inoperative non-Freon refrigerator was simple.
Have used this recycling company located in Brick for years. Today I went to bring in scrap metal with my friend. For the past few month I have been organizing, and sorting to get a good price. My friend just keeps his in a bag all together, so when he weighs it I begin to tell him they would have paid better had he organized the wires. The "owner" of this establishment proceeds to interrupt my conversation, and asks me " do you work here, do you work here?" I said who? He says you! If your done here than get out of here! I don't understand how a business owner can treat people that are actively bringing him more customers this way.Very unhappy on my Saturday off....won't be happy using your services after this experience. Would give zero stars I guess people are not allowed to speak to each other like human beings here.
Place is disgusting it’s just a mud pile and they make you back up into the dirtiest spots where you’re almost guaranteed to pop a tire and then get covered in mud when you get out of your car since there’s nobody there to help you.
My husband and I went to this scrap yard after cleaning out our garage and waited for god knows how long for a payment. This isn’t the first time. My husband said he went there not too long ago and waited just as long for employee to go to the bank. Never again! How do you not have enough cash to pay out customers?! Shouldn’t this be done prior to the day? Ridiculous!
Very unpleasant lady when I arrived today…. I came there with over 100 pounds of steel and aluminum from a pool and she gave me a price for light iron. So basically, I got ripped off. The lady never came out over office to check the material.
Pretty organizedas well as clean for a scrapyard and the one guy that was working in the back was more than helpful and kind to point you in any direction you needed
Have dealt with Brick Recyclíng since they Owned this Yard. They have always been Far, Honest and always have gone out of there way to help YOU. The Employees always help You in anyway they possibly can. Great place to Deal With.
Been going there for years great prices for aluminum copper steel quick and easy to get out guys make it real simple coordinator round Queen yard never have to worry about flat tires will continue to be going there for the next Generations to come
Patrick is always pleasant to deal with for our pick ups and also Mike who I have dealt with twice for pick ups recently is extremely polite. Thumbs up for these guys.
Brick Recycling is a great place to take your scrap metal. Very friendly people ,polite and courteous. Their prices and very good also. Have been going there for years and have had no problems what soever.
Either they don't know what thare talking about or they genuinely tried to rip me off. Offered me 40 cents for copper wire because it had rubber insulation. When it's 1.50 down at sunnys in Lacy and 1.40 at a place up by Sayreville. Then the guy didn't even try to offer a better deal some real shmucks over there.
Scrapped my junk car for a decent price. No issues at all. Lea was on top of her game by arranging for my undriveable car to be towed as soon as she could. Marlene was also very helpful, and Pat towed 'ole Betsy away like a champ. Will definitely be back if I ever need to scrap more metal.
Brick Recycling is one of the cleanest scrap yard I have ever been to. Their staff is so friendly and they don't hesitate to educate you on the material you have. Excellent place to recycle your metal!!!!!!
Brought in almost 200 lbs of brass alone and another 100 in #2 copper. They transferred the brass into their wire milk crate and weighed it in that. They then dumped it and put the crates back on the scale. What I didn’t notice was they put the handtruck they used to move it all on the scale when that wasn’t part of the original weight when it was calculated. I didn’t notice this at first though, it was only after I went to the office. Got my money and said this can’t be right. 170 lbs of brass and they deducted 110 lbs on the reweigh. It’s funking impossible. I’ve heard bad things about this place but I still went once in a while cause it was the closest. Never again. Crooks in the back who get pissy if make them do their jobs.
Terrible service. Treated me like I was an idiot. Prices lowest in the area. Better off at Bluett's. At least they will take the time to weigh a few pieces of brass and not just throw it in with the copper.
Super dissapointed. 226 lbs brass, copper. I cut all the copper from fittinhs and seperate it so i get number 1 prices for number 1. They said my hole garbage can of number one was mixed with number 2 and they werent gunna seperate it. They said my straight peices of few were oxcidized. They weighed it with my bucket of cut of copper 90s. And then on top of that i know pruces are down but 226 of straight copper mostly and brass. Little bucket of cut of fittings. 226 lbs i only got $240. Very dissapointed. Beacon south amboy i shulda never cheated on you. And rahway is good too.
