Purchased a 2015 Kia Soul for $8500 in cash for my teenage daughter here on May 31. 28 days later the check engine light went on and stalled on her as she was driving on 33. Literally stranded on the side of the road. Got it to a mechanic who reported the entire engine needed to be replaced. Got it from there to another mechanic for a second opinion without telling him what the previous mechanic said. He found the same to be true. There is no way this kind of damage was caused in the 4 weeks that we owned the car - several mechanics confirmed that. It was sold to us like this whether intentionally or unintentionally. I called this dealership back and was told repeatedly to go through ‘the process’ with the warranty company. The owner also tried to gaslight me and ask me why I would buy a car with a bad engine when I expressed to him my frustration about the major inconveniences we faced as he tried to deny that he sold me a car in this condition. Thankfully, I had purchased a warranty. After waiting on an inspector, having the adjustor let us know what would be covered ($4,750 which still meant me coming out of pocket $300), having a used engine shipped and put into the car - it has now been an entire month without the vehicle. I called and asked if they would help cover the cost of a rental as my daughter had no way to make it to work without spending money on an uber back and forth each day. They declined. We just picked the car up from the mechanic today and it stalled again as we were pulling out due to a bad pump that then also had to be replaced.
My poor review is more about the lack of customer service and ethics. Things happen. This is not my first, second, or third rodeo when it comes purchasing used vehicles. I understand the risks of buying used vehicles and in the past have dealt with small faults in purchases but the dealerships have always had stellar customer service and offered different ways of taking care of us as valued customers. Unfortunately, that was not my experience with Auto Exchange. Instead, I called them several times throughout the month and finally haggled my way to being reimbursed $500 which I will have to pick up at some point. When you agree to pay the price on something you are considering the quality of that item. What I thought I was getting was worth the price I paid. What I got was not, and that’s my justification for asking for compensation. Never have I experienced a used vehicle that needed such extensive work almost immediately. I am already anticipating the response to this review as one that is twisted. That will have to stay between them and their own consciences regarding what is right and wrong. I’m just glad that most importantly my daughter is safe after this debacle. Proceed with caution if purchasing here. At minimum, purchase the warranty they offer. You may need it.
This was an amazing experience. Brett helped me out a lot and had a wide variety of cars that were in my price range and budget. The place was extremely well-maintained. Your course selection was unbeatable. This was my fourth or fifth time looking around and Brett got me in my vehicle within my price range and exactly what I was looking for in under an hour. I highly recommend using this place for any used vehicle shopping. Worth taking a check pop in and ask for Brett.
Just a bought a car from Ian and Brett of Auto Exchange from out of state for my son. It was all around a fantastic experience, from the first phone call, through checking out the car, signing the papers, and driving away. This is one of the top car buying experiences I've had. They are both very friendly, welcoming, and honest. It's obvious they care a lot about their business and also their customers. I'd absolutely buy a car here again.

Where do I begin! We had Brett as our patient guide and I can say friend because he gave us his personal cell number what a guy! Me and my husband decided finally that we wanted an Escalade. We Always pay in full, so it was important to get one in our budget. After days of praying and seriously fasting we knew this was the car and it was mainly because of Brett. We decided if that car is still there after more searching and gathering the money, it was the chosen vehicle. We drove him crazy !!!But he was cool all the way. When you get there, there’s a since of NO BULL and family among them. The smiles, the convo, made it all worth it. Thanks to Brett, Mike and Ian we are super happy. 2013 Escalade ESV. Brett was fast and friendly, great to work with. Process took about a few days, was watching the car online for a while then came in looked at the car, put a deposit down then came in a few days later and did the paper work got a warranty and left with the car after we payed for the rest. After searching for years for a specific vehicle, I finally found one that checked all of the boxes. Now, I have to deal with the dealership that is selling it. Luckily, it was being offered by Auto Exchange Inc. From the first call to the final signature, this was the most chilled transaction I have ever had. I had the pleasure to work with Brett, who was on point throughout. Oh yeah, I live six hours away. He and I worked through the paperwork, financing from my CU, logistics, etc over the phone/text. When I showed up, Brett did everything I asked of him. He let me take my time. He even tried to use his credits to get me an extended warranty. At the end, I handed him a check from my credit union and got to drive home in my dream Porshe Cayenne!!!
These guys were fast personal and above all professional. They were patient and were able to work with my situation. And where able to get me into a vehicle I liked. I strongly recommend buying your next car with them.

After almost 3 weeks of looking for a car for my almost 18 year old son, I happened upon The Auto Exchange and emailed back and forth with Brett. I was truly exhausted mentally dealing with all the games of sales people. We came in on a Thursday I met Brett and his dad, we took the car out for test drive, my mechanic checked it for me and it was everything they said it was. It is hard to find honest, trustworthy people in this industry, most especially for me as a single mom (widow) they see you coming a mile away!! Thank you again for professionalism.
