Today, my faith in humanity was restored. After dealing with numerous local auto repair places, with unsatisfactory results, I decided to go to Halls for an oil change. There was a problem with a plug, and unlike the neighborhood "favorite place", they corrected a problem rather than recommending a $700+ repair. Great mechanics, honest, and kept me informed as to what was needed. No upselling like most places try. The entire staff was beyond pleasant. Melissa is an asset there, and God bless Billy and the rest. I'm VERY IMPRESSED.
Went there to have oil changed. Had them look at the front brakes because I knew they needed to be done. They said they would call me with a price. No call. So I called back, and was told I would DEFINITELY receive a call later or the next day. That was a week ago. No call lol. Also, I told the mechanic that I had an intermittent ignition switch issue. That was ignored. Avoid this company.
Had a great experience. I only went in for an alignment but I saw how they interacted with the other customers and they were honest, friendly, and accommodating! Would definitely recommend taking your car to Hall's!!!
SCAMMERS. Worst mechanic I’ve ever been to. Ripped off for over $200 and car still has the original issue I brought it there to fix, claimed they fixed it, they didn’t. Go back and explain they never fixed it, they then claim it’s another cause of the issue than they did originally and charged me even more to tell me that without fixing anything…. So I just gave them $200 for nothing.. back at square one not one thing fixed or resolved but they made over $200 off me and still have no solution. In disbelief at how incompetent they are. Worst mechanic I’ve ever dealt with do not go here.
Been going here for about 6 years for brakes, oil changes, tire rotations, filters, and occasionally a more complex job like figuring out a braking issue and a check engine light. Each time they've done a great job, and suggested some additional services that made sense. They are busy and require appointments, and sometimes they can't always have long conversations, but the end-game is that the service has been spot-on. I will continue to bring my car here.
These guys are the best , very knowledgeable and friendly . And you can't beat the price for the work , very fair . They are my new mechanics . I suggest the next time you have car troubles use them , you won't be disappointed !!!!
I brought my 2014 Ford Escape to Hall’s Service Center because I was hearing a weird noise from the back, and they absolutely nailed it. Turned out it was an issue with the rear differential, and the team went out of their way to figure out exactly what was going on. They didn’t rush through it or try to push unnecessary repairs, just straight to the point.
What really impressed me was how fair and honest they were. They easily could have charged more, but they didn’t—gave me a really good deal instead. No surprises, no games, just good service.
Honestly, if you’re in the area, skip the dealerships. These guys are legit, and I’ll be going back for any other issues that pop up. Highly recommend them!
If you value your vehicle at all, do not bring your car here to be serviced. The work done is shotty, incomplete, and they will break your car worse than when you brought it in to jack up the price. When you bring a problem to them from the work that they’ve done, they will accuse you of being a liar and not take responsibility for the shoddy work. They are awful, and like to take advantage of their senior citizen customer. I am ashamed on their behalf. My car in for an oil change, and repairs to the gas tank about. They disconnected my battery, and swear that it wasn’t them. Now I am left with a broken car and I am out $500.
Headed to work this morning had an unexpected battery light come on. Even though they were short staffed Bill and Melissa were nothing short of AMAZING to squeeze me in and take care of my down alternator. Having only one car to get around, they were a life saver. THANK YOU BILL AND MELISSA FOR EVERYTHING ♥️
My experience with Hall”s Service Center was exceptional and I am pleased with the quality of service provided. It was my first time using the auto service provider and the services I received were brakes, oil change and headlight bulb replacement. The service was efficient and thorough. They took the time to make a new customer! I would recommend for quality and reasonable prices! Thank you to the Hall”s Service Team!!
So Hall's has had my sons car for over a month. First was a fuel pump big money, then it was fuel pump module, more money. Then it was high pressure fuel pump even more money. Still no car. They said it was wrong pump. I feel bad because I mistakenly recommended them to my son. If I had known they where a hack part changing shop I would have sent him elsewhere.
There are a lot of auto service centers that promise superior service and you get the same old same old. Halls delivers great service at a fair price and I really feel they appreciate me as a customer. I highly recommend having your car serviced here rather than the dealer.
Both hatch window hinges broke on my Explorer. Window was hanging by the struts. Guy behind the counter wouldn't even come out and look at it. He told me to make an appointment for three weeks. This was an emergency. Lousy attitude on top of that. Go elsewhere.
How do you trust someone to find the problem and fix it when they can't even own up to there own mistakes and want you to pay for there mistakes. Spark plugs were never tightened and the window never put on the track properly and they didn't know why the cods wouldn't go off but hey here's your car now pay the bill. On my other car steering problems and they just don't no whats wrong, got a list of things that have nothing to do with the problem. They also charge me to tell me what they think is wrong and that money is not applied to fixing the problem.
Brakes failed on my 99 Dodge Ram 1500 back in the summer, I'm glad I took him here!! Great communication and pricing, haven't had a single problem with the repairs. Thank you :-)
The place was clean. Their prices are reasonable. Our car was ready when they said it would be and all the workers are friendly. We had our front and rear brakes done. The new brakes are very responsive. It is located on a major east/west road. They were highly reccomended by many of our neighbors. I am glad we decided to try this car repair shop. Their prices are very reasonable and our car is always ready when they say it will be.
This is the only mechanic shop that I can honestly say they don't give you the runaround, the owner runs the honest business. For example my wife said we needed tires they looked at it and they told me I still had 20,000 miles left on the tires they could have easily sold me tires but they didn't, I take all my cars there and from my experience the prices aren't exaggerated!
In January, I paid $1172.00 for an entire exhaust system. "It comes with a full year warranty", so I was told. However, the system did not fit correctly.
Today I went back because the muffler got loud 3 days ago and now they say it needs another catalytic converter and is not covered under the warranty.
Shabby work backed up by false promises.
Totally cool and welcoming. Gets da job down. Had a engine put in and tires replaced that's the scope of what this place can do . Just ask for Timmy and no worries truthful and not a ripoff like the gas station on the other side of town . Please don't go there owner is Franky and they are not professional and don't do good work..Had to get my vehicle towed from there to halls bc they are amateurs...
I've been a customer for many years & highly recommend them. My car died yesterday & needed a new battery. Even though they had appointments booked & I was an "extra," they still got me in and out in a little over an hour. They are friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and fairly priced. I have no plans to go anywhere else!
Honest repair shop. They take care of their customers as if they were family. When I take my car to them I don't have to worry about the quality of service or getting overcharged for their work. I will continue to recommend Hall's to anyone that asked my opinion.
These guys are always honest with me and I trust them not to take advantage of their customers. They’ve been honest with me when it’s time to replace a vehicle rather than pour more money into it. I wouldn’t take my car to anyone else.
I have been a client at Hall's Service Center for more than 10 years. Their work has always been prompt, courteous, and well-done. Friends, to whom I have recommended Hall's, have told me the same thing. I am more than pleased with their wanting to go the extra step to make sure the work is done satisfactorily.

Was using Mavis in Whiting. Paid over $1,000 to repair 8 months of time and 5 visits and still broke. Mavis was just replacing parts.
Halls knew what the problem was and fixed it, in 30 minutes and it cost $40.00
I will never use Mavis again.
I am so happy to have found this place. I brought my car in for a brake job. Everyone I spoke to was very friendly and professional. The car was done quicker than I expected and the price was very fair. Would highly recommend!
I'm new to the area. I've been looking for a place to take my vehicle for service. I believe this is the place. I've taken my car here twice and each time has been positive. They do good work and are extremely reasonable. Some service places, especially dealerships overcharge and rip you off. Not this place. They are honest and know what they're doing.
They have worked on cars of mine multiple times. They have always seemed reasonable and honest, and have matched other quotes for me on one or two occasions. Which is about all that you can ask for from a mechanic. I live too far for it to make sense bringing my cars there still or else i would. I would definitely recommend to anyone who lives in that area.
