Nice place to go hiking! They have a few different trails to choose from and a bunch of lakes to enjoy off the trail. I even discovered a small cemetery off one of the trails! Lots of turtles here as well! Pretty quiet place to go on a Sunday afternoon.
This is truly a wonderful park to visit. ?✨️ It has a little bit of everything: history; you can visit the cranberry sorting & packing house, the double trouble sawmill, etc. Several hiking and biking trails and resting benches are along the way ?♀️⛰️?♂️. It's also great for dog walking as well! There is also the cedar creek trail; if you have a kayak, you might even enjoy it a bit more! ? overall, we had a great time; just a backpack with some snacks ? and bottles of water, and that was it! It is also a great place to just relax and disconnect, read a book, and enjoy the nature or a nice chat ☮️. Recommended ✅️
Not only a great place for easy hiking with options for tails (no hills), there's a lake for canoeing. Dog friendly.
Bonus: if you're into history, this is the backdrop of cranberry pickers. You can go to the information building (always closed when I've been) but outside they have brochures on the history and another brochure for the trails.
Downside on buildings is that you cannot go in and (for me), I wish they would restore the buildings to reflect how they were used historically; still great to look at.
Breathtaking nature walking area. Endless trails for all ability levels. HUGE forest with tons to explore. I came to geocache, we had a wonderful time. Will be returning.
I do wish there was more parking, though.
What a beautiful day at a local gem of a park! Love all the trail options here, only downfall is those not cleaning up their pet feces to include horses...no one likes tiptoeing around that but otherwise great place for nature enthusiasts and artists (i.e. photography and otherwise).
Wide well maintained path the go past the old cranberry processing building and bogs. Definitely can be very busy at certain times of the day. Bogs have abundant wildlife around them, the turtles are amazing. No restrooms but is only a short drive to where we were staying so not that big of a deal.
First visit in about a year but this was a very warm and humid day to walk, even as early as we started.
Trails are wide and, in many places, there is tree cover from the sun. No mossy problems today.
Many people taking advantage of the canoe dropoff today - despite little rain the past month, the river seemed quite high.
We did about a 2.5 mile walk but many more miles are available to walk in the park.
Kid friendly park with a lot of less than 2 miles trails that are easy. Many of the trails go through shaded areas so, it is not too bad in the hot weather.
One of my favorite Pine Barrens parks to visit. Large variety of trails, marked and unmarked. Cedar Creek crossings are most picturesque spots.
As of beginning of March 2024, yellow trail is flooded in few places, had to backtrack.
One of my favorite local spots to walk. In the years I've been coming to this park a lot has changed. It's got a variety of scenery to appreciate. You can wander thru a cedar forest, cranberry fields, past the old mill and river, into the pine forest and thru a reclamation area that hurricane Sandy destroyed. The historical buildings are interesting, they have never been open while I'm in the park but may possibly be at certain times. Check with the park for access. There are several places to get some gorgeous photographs. My last trip to the park was in the snow this wk.

I was fortunate enough to grow up a few miles from here and have been hiking, swimming, kayaking, canoeing, tubing and collecting cranberries for bread since the late 70s. Summertime is a blast to visit and interact with nature…the smell of pine straw, walking in the cool sugar sand barefoot on a scorching day then jump in the tea colored freezing Cedar Creek!
A nice long walk around the bogs is very relaxing. Be aware of the wildlife. Beaver, frogs, birds, snakes. It’s a great place to relax and escape the hustle and bustle of the everyday grind. Enjoy nature ! Jah lives !
If you are looking for an escape this is the place. One minute off exit 77 GSP, this park offers miles of trails where you just disappear into the woods. Water and wildlife abound. Definitely check this place out. Totally worth it!
Awesome place! Great trails for biking or electric unicycle! Cedar creek runs threw it. Big lake with water falls. Lots of history to explore. A must see. The more I explore this place the cooler it gets!

Get close to some beautiful NJ forest. NJ Wild blueberries compete with Jersey Tomatoes and sweet corn. The pines and Berries will have you lost into a deep blue here. It's tradition and a public park, so enjoyí!
Beautiful park! Great views, nice trails, and it has a cranberry bog. This is a great place to walk around, take in the scenery, and learn some cool history. I used to come here a lot as a kid and since moving away, I haven’t been able to come around as much. I really missed it here. Glad to see it’s still largely the same! I wish I came during cranberry season, that is truly a sight to behold.
Nice park with a coal habit, can’t give it a 5 due to a really noisy main road that runs by. The trials are well maintained and easy for strollers so great for families.
Great park for family photos or a really relaxing walk. Horse back riding, Kayaking, lots of historic buildings left from an old cranberry farm. Really fun place to visit, right off exit 77 south bound on the parkway. Be careful pulling in- usually a few large potholes right at the entrance. No public restroom. Also nice place to walk the dog.
One of the most beautiful parks that I’ve ever been to and has the variety of seeing the water being inside of a forest looking at trees and open spaces and finding mushrooms and looking at the old cranberry Farm it has so much history it has old buildings it’s definitely a place that you need to visit I go there as much as I can and every time I have such a wonderful time and the color is now the Autumn is here are just mesmerizing. I would recommend to come there especially during the good weather or you can also kayak from there bring your dogs take lots of pictures there’s birds you could even gather cranberries in some places if you know where they are there’s benches if you want to rest there’s information everywhere and it’s just one of the most beautiful places very different from parks that I’ve been to.
Great state park to visit. All areas are well marked and there is plenty of parking.
Historical site that used to be a cranberry farm. Great history to be learned and they still have buildings to observe. Trails lead to a lake where a lot of kayakers cross over to the local creek. Beautiful scenery.
Beautiful state park with nice trails and historical buildings. The trails could have been better marked or a posted trail map would have been helpful at the entrance. Found a map online to follow and was able to find our way around but would have been nice to have trail markers. Visitor center wasn't open when we were there so didn't talk to any staff, but would have been nice to explore the village a bit more. Next time!
So far I love this park. I've only been there twice and still havent found the lake. ? There are all different directions you can take, it would be really nice if they had a map (or maybe I'm just blind & didnt see one) to show where things are.
Actually I'm heading out now going back to park to take my pipoy for a walk. I took lots of photos as Im a novice photographer and enjoy all the sites to see and look forward to seeing a lot more!
I highly recommend this park also great for walking exercise!
Great place to step back into history! I would recommend planning a trip around their programs or rare events to see “behind the scenes”. It is also a great park for kayaking through, or biking. Be sure to make a note of the map before disembarking.
