Called for a battery for my truck, they Had it in stock. I wish I got the guys name who changed it for me but he was awesome. Great energy and quick. Really appreciate it!
I stop at the rockaway store to ask if they would test my battery they told me it was to cold outside but if I brought it inside they would test it. I then we up the road and went in to Autozone and they had no problem coming outside and testing it. The Advanced guy was just to lazy.
Terrible experience. I bought a battery, paid for it, and when I went to pick it up I was met with awful customer service. They clearly did not want to install the battery, cancelled my order, but still charged me. Now I have to wait several days for my bank to return the money because it’s the weekend. First time trying this place, most definitely the last.
I just went into the store for a few things and was immediately greeted and made to feel welcome! I was very fortunate to be helped by Henry who was very patient and knowledgeable with all the questions I had. He over exceeded my needs and made my visit very enjoyable. I would highly recommend this store and hope you’re lucky enough to have Henry help you!!!
I can't say enough about J.C at Advance Auto Parts. After going through a very trying physical/emotional time this past week, the last thing I needed was an issue with my auto. He was 100% there for me and showed empathy and compassion. He diagnosed my issue-it was seamless. I wanted to leave him a tip but he said to "Pay it forward." Honestly a very honest man and he did a lot for my spirit. I wouldn't hesitate to go back and recommend this kind man!
As a certified gear head, I spend more time in this store than I do at my own kitchen table. Seriously, I think the cashiers know my license plate number by heart.
The staff here deserves a medal, specifically the one who patiently listened to me describe a left-handed widget for a completely obscure 1980s German car using only hand gestures and engine noises. I'm pretty sure his eyes glazed over slightly, but he still managed to find the exact specialty socket I needed for the job.
It doesn't matter if I'm grabbing a $5 can of brake cleaner or dropping a small fortune on high-performance synthetic oil and a tool I’ll use exactly once; they are always helpful, knowledgeable, and fast. If you need parts for your daily driver, or if you're like me and your weekends involve questionable life choices under a lifted vehicle, this is the place to go. They keep my projects rolling—sometimes literally!
I called Advance Auto Parts to confirm they had what I needed. They did. When I arrived, they showed me to where I could find what I needed, and gave me advice on how to use it. Very helpful! Will not hesitate to return if further merchandise is needed.
Called them in advance to get a new battery and have it switched. They answered quickly, telling me all the info I needed to know without even asking. When I arrived I met Henry, he was extremely helpful, quick, and above all super sweet and funny. He changed my battery for me in not even 5 mins. I highly recommend this auto zone over all the others. Thanks guys!
The employees have an very unfriendly attitude.
They rolled their eyes when they heard I want to take advantage of the free battery installation and testing mentioned on the website, when I purchased the battery.
After making me wait for about 20 minutes, they finally bothered to bring the cart to my car, only to tell me that they cannot do it, because a bolt is under a plastic cover (side-note, that bolt is easily accessible).
I must mention again, that the website I used to buy the battery is clearly stating that the battery replacement and service is available, for free, for my type of car (2011 Toyota RAV4).
After filing an official complaint with the corporate customer service, the store manager called me, only to treat me worse than his employee.
He was obnoxious, telling me that I am wrong, sarcastically congratulating me for being able to change the battery by myself (after making an unnecessary trip back home and another trip to the store to bring back the old battery, of course).
He was constantly talking over me and cut the conversation short, refusing to admit that they are misleading customers with false advertisement for services they are unwilling to provide,
No surprise the employees are so unfriendly: shadow of the leader.

I got my oil change at jiffy lube and I asked if they can change the air filter the guy told me they can get it from this place auto parts . I said ok . I checked on line in auto parts my filter cost 24 dollars . I go to the register and the cost is 80 dollars and no labor added yet . So I said I checked online in that store and the guy actually ask if that was actually the price because he couldn’t believe it either. I paid for it because the guy isn’t on fault here . He did his best . But the auto part store 3 words shame on you . I hope you guys can buy something with the rest of the money , I’m from Rockaway so if you need a filter, check online first in the store and you will be surprised how they steal from people who makes money in a decent way . This was today 09/07/2024 around 9:30am .

staff is rude and inconsiderate; they are fast to devalue your concerns / questions as a customer. “can’t do anything about that” “yeah blame the company” said as per the staff. Such snide and rude comments for no reason.
I came here for windshield wiper fluids and didn't know how to put it in my car and Jim was so nice! And came to my car and helped me!!! I was really grateful and he was so nice about it! I definitely recommend this place. Excellent service.
Jim the manager there is one great individual! was very helpful in replacing my car battery made it quick and painless. Pleasant conversation he definitely knows his stuff! Would recommend this store just because of Jim. Arthur was also very helpful throughout another great individual!
Went to buy windshield wipers and could NOT be more impressed with the hard working staff.
I worked at a gas station for YEARS & could still not figure out how to install the new wipers.
A VERY HELPFUL STAFF MEMBER INSISTED HE COULD INSTALL THEM SO HE DID.

My go to shop for Purolator oil filters. Great bunch of guys working behind the counter. Very attentive and helpful. I was here looking for a windshield crack fixer and the guy pointed me in the right direction and even recommended a brand he had a positive experience with. The store is well kept and clean.
The store is extremely well kept and clean. The shelves are always full. If they don't have a certain item you're looking for, they'll go out of their way to point you in the right direction to find the item.
