The drivers you have are reckless. Weaving in and out of traffic, flying around, on people's ass. Is the object the cause more accidents so you can tow more vehciles?

THIS IS THE WORST PLACE EVER !! DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR AND STAY AWAY FROM THEM!! THEY WILL OVER CHARGE FOR THE TOWING SERVICE AND FOR STORAGE FEES !! THEY WILL MESS UP YOUR VEHICLE AND CUT THE WIRES ON IT LIKE THEY DID TO MINE … THEY DID CHARGE ME OVER $5700 FOR TOWING 3 MILES DOWN THE ROAD AND A FEW DAYS OF STORAGE . THEY WILL NOT LET YOU SPEAK TO A MANAGER OR A SUPERVISOR AT ALL .. SUPER RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL.

Millburn Police contacted them for me last midnight for a flat tire change. 2 hours later they showed up and could not jack the sedan up, borrowed my jack and could not unscrew the wheel nuts. Then suggested tow was the only option and billed me $198 after opening with a price of $260 or so. It’s a scam. They want to tie and make money. Stay clear

I wouldn't trust this place to tell me the sky was blue, let alone take care of my vehicle. My car got damaged by their tow truck, then it takes a month and a half for them to fix the damage they caused! No communication or transparency, I had to chase after them every step of the way. Avoid this place if you value your car, time, money, and stomach lining.

I have never used his business and will never use this business. I’m just posting review to tell how unprofessional their drivers really are for boxing a car full of kids in the highway, and trying to squeeze them between the rails in the highway.

Tow dude was a complete tool. Tried explaining to me how a tow truck operates. Come to find out he stole my vape out of my car. Didn’t realize until a couple days after. Understood on why the standards for towing are so low.

At approximately 6:10pm on 12/19/2023 the operator of a marked C&L truck was traveling NJ-24 WB to I-287 NB in the following manner: tailgated the vehicles in the I-287 SB ramp, cutting over in the striped area between the SB and NB ramp... proceeding to literally push vehicles on the NB ramp out of "his" way while half of the flatbed drove on the dirt and the other half on the roadway, forcing vehicles in heavy traffic to move onto the right shoulder in an attempt to avoid this "wonderfully talented operator" from striking their vehicles with clearly no regard for their safety or wellbeing. Once the flatbed entered the mainline, the amber lights and incessant airhorn continued (once the tank had filled up again) where the truck was operated in a way whereas it "parted the Red Sea" as they centered the truck on the dashed line between the right and center lanes continuing to push the vehicles in the center lane into the left and those in the right into the shoulder. Apparently, it is an acceptable practice if one has their "amber lights activated" while laying on the airhorn to the point where the tank ran out. News flash: You aren't emergency services. You get there when you get there. But you weren't going anywhere, because you're not an authorized tow! When the company was called to ascertain whether they were an authorized tow for NJSP, their answer was "no". (Wonder why...) When the complaint pertinent to this event was lodged with the 'dispatcher', the response was: "Oh. I think I know who that is... I will be sure to pass along your complaint to the manager." The reckless nature in which this "fine upstanding citizen" operated a "billboard on wheels" (C&L, you are really giving yourselves a name here), seems to be a routine part of the operation and a well-known practice of - at the very least - this employee. Your 2.7 star rating is far from surprising as you allow this patterned (as clearly admitted by your employee on the phone) and incredibly unsafe operation of a motor vehicle. One would hope this would not be indicative of a company-wide operation, but judging by the other ratings and reviews here... I am highly skeptical of any other possibility.

Rude employees within the office. The way and manner in which they speak to people is abrasive, unprofessional, and cavalier. If this is how they treat people, you wonder how they will treat your car and the belongings inside your car. The workers there make the entire business feel untrustworthy, and you leave their establishment feeling frustrated. I don't know how these folks are employed.

I live in Nazareth, Pennsylvania and I had my car towed from this company because it was stolen and when they towed it, they knew that the car was on drivable and mangled because of the people that had stolen my car destroyed it from the outside to the inside, and they took $1000 from me knowing that that car was junk When they could’ve been honest and told me about all the damages, there was no back window. The front window was smashed. Tires were popped, couldn’t even open up the driver door because of the dents people just wanna nickel and dime you and rob you businesses have no compassion or consideration for the hard-working people , be careful when you use this company they’re crooks. Make sure you ask questions and do a lot of research. I hope they get their karma one day horrible way to treat customers be careful of these crooks.

Everyone in C& L Towing- from the driver who towed our car to people in the office are just amazing- they’re all very nice and very helpful. The driver secured my husband’s things inside the car, the person in the garage made sure we got all the stuff in our car and the people in the office attended to us right away. I’d say people working there really love their job. God bless them! Oh and when my son had an accident years ago they did an excellent job fixing it- and fast too!

I didn't use this company, but one of the drivers was parked across 3 handicapped spots in a quick check parking lot. The guy came out with a drink, got in the tow truck and left. Disgusting!! Shame on you c&l!!! If the employees are that careless towards the handicapped how are they going to be with your personal property? I would never use them.

I worked with Tony today in regards my mother vehicle that was towed here due to an auto accident! I did call prior to arriving to ensure I had everything I needed to have the car released! Tony was wonderful I asked sooooo many questions, I even interrupted his lunch!!! Non of this impacted his customer service!!! My mom keeps a lot of things in her vehicle and everything was accounted for! He also advised me on services that didn’t apply to his duties!!!

Not only did they come quickly but i had my child with me and we were stuck on the highway. Joel the driver made us feel safe and was so good with my daughter teaching her about towing and making what was a scary situation for her a great one. He handled my car with care and made sure where it was parked had easy access for me when I needed to replace the tire (i had no spare). I will definitely recommend using this company for all your needs. Thank you so much Joel!!!!

THIEVES THIEVES THIEVES! The tow truck driver stole my AirPods out of the case( so they can’t be tracked) two phone chargers and more out of my car. It’s a shame after getting into an accident I had to go through this. You are better off carrying your car on your shoulders then calling them. You would expect professionalism coming from a tow truck company affiliated with orange police department but that could not be further from the case! THIEVES!

My vehicle was stuck here at the lot for quite some time while I worked on getting some DMV issues sorted out. They were able to work with me and lower the price of the lot/towing fees. They are very friendly and professional. Thank you so much for your help on the bill.

They did a roadside service on me for my trailer. Chained axle so I could drive to the shop in Parsippany NJ. Next morning tore down. Wheel bearing was bad. Said axle assembly needed replaced. Ordered parts and I asked if it could be overnighted and said no. A week later a day before they told me it would be ready it was ready. Went to pay but would not take a credit card over the phone saying card needed to be present for that amount because it was so high. Spent rest of day shuffling funds around to make payment. Finally got payment made and said good I didn't want this to be here in the morning.

ZERO Stars. TERRIBLE! and Thieves! I was in an accident so they were by default the towing company. By the time I got the information to pick up my car, and I went to go check and grab some personal items, I realized that my designer sunglasses (2) were stolen. I didn't leave them in there on purpose. I didn't have time to gather my items and I was so traumatized. The cops didn't steal it, so who could it be? I went to the front desk and asked them and the snotty towing manager barely responded to me. This violation traumatized me even further. I even emailed the office and told them I would buy someone sunglasses if they were that desperate. Do not use them if you have a choice, I unfortunately did not. BEWARE!

POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS BEWARE AND READ! I had a vehicle towed there and stored for exactly in 48 hours. When I picked it up I was informed that I would be charged three days storage at $45 per day. I argued that it was only two days to the hour and they told me “sorry, this is our business and this is the way we do it”. I asked the attendant to please ask the owner or manager if they could possibly remove the third day since it seems like a mistake and shook his head and walked into a room to ask someone. 10 seconds later he came out and said “nope it is what it is.“ I drove a vehicle there to pickup the one that I had towed. I didn’t have a ride back until later that night so I asked the owner or manager which ever he was if I could park my vehicle anywhere in there very large parking lot until I came back to pick it up that night. It took him a good 30 seconds to answer me and then finally said “make sure this car isn’t here in the morning”. I was totally shocked at how completely rude the people in this company were to me especially the owner or manager who took so long just to say it was OK to park there until 5 o’clock and told me to make sure it was gone in the morning. 99% of businesses that you deal with yield positive results and outcomes. This one falls into the 1% that leaves a disgusting bitter taste in your mouth and an actual dislike of the individuals that work there. I would never consider anyone using this company. They also have a body shop apparently that’s affiliated with their towing business in East Hanover.

These guys boosted my car's dead battery at no charge after loading up a wrecked car that was part of a multi-car crash. I was able to get home at reasonable time, even after waiting in traffic for almost 2 hours due to that car crash.

They repaired my truck's air line on the side of I-80. I was able to drive it to their shop where they repaired a broken exhaust pipe. They were very reasonably priced and I was pleasantly surprised. I would definitely call them again.

Would give no stars if I could. After placing several calls to their dispatch office trying to verify if the vehicle was there, they repeatedly and rudely advised that my boss MUST be onsite to claim his vehicle before 5pm. They would not wait even if he was on his way. After rushing to get there by 10 to 5, no one was at the location. When we called the office, Fred, the manager, says they are out on calls, we will just have to wait, at least a half hour, but couldn't be sure how long. He would not give us the number of someone in that location to call, hung up on my boss and when I called back a little while later to see if someone was coming, he immediately screamed and cursed at me, when I never once raised my voice or was rude to him. Terrible customer service, terrible service in general. The police and town should seek another towing company to work with!!!!

Heading to NY from VA, my car completely died on rt287, late at night on a Sunday. I planned to tow all the way home , about 300 miles. I was alone, crying, had no idea what was wrong or what I was going to do. The dispatcher calmed me down and helped me come up with a plan. He helped me save money as a tow that far would be almost $1500. The driver showed up quickly, was very helpful and friendly. He got me to a local shop and gave me a free ride to a near by hotel. Great service. Thank you !!

my daughter was in an accident and paid in full to get her car towed to the shop and the driver told her that he cannot take her car because he was over loaded with other calls. but took her money. dropped her off in the middle of no where. OMG any good human being would not do such a thing. the worst. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE

The worst repair shop I have dealt with in 6 years , everyone extremely rude, 4 days late from original date the trailer was supposed to be done, and the icing on the cake 700 miles down the road the wires come apart. Stay away from this place at all cost no wonder they have 1 star average review.

Worst towing company I ever had to deal with. My daughter was in an accident in Roxbury. She hit black ice, spun out and ended up on grass a few inches off the road no hills or ditches involved flat grass after hitting a small tree. Her Jeep wasn't stuck to anything. Nothing challenging for an experienced and professional towing company. They towed the jeep a MILE to their Kenvil location. The cost was just short of extortion! They used a flatbed truck and charged $215.00 for towing it a MILE!!! When we went to the Kenvil location they called the East Hanover location spoke to a lady on the phone and she told us the charge for the towing plus an additional charge for storing it for 8 hours of $30. We asked for the manager or owner and we were told they weren't available. We decide to wait until the next day to try and resolve the extortion charges. We called East Hanover the next day spoke to Angelo on the phone he was rude and very obnoxious and arrogant. He said they have contracts with the town so they are able to charge what they do. He said their contract with the State Toops is even better we get to charge more! He said pay or you can't touch your vehicle and storage charges will continue! After paying the EXTORTION price. We had it towed by another towing company to our house which was 5 miles away it cost $50! The total charge by this company was $289.47 for towing our Jeep a mile and having it for no more than 24 hours! I will make sure people are aware of what a crooked company this is!!!

Don't waste your time or your money. I recently had a tire go off an off road truck so I called the closest shop to fix it (C&L). It took them 15 minutes to get here and the fella worked on the tire for 20 minutes and said he couldn't fix it . apon him leaving the requested $258.89. For a total of 35 minutes worth of work and still didn't fix my problem . I spoke with every supervisor in there office and they were very rude. We ended up paying but that is bad business . so the following day we called mcarthys tire . it took them 45 minutes to get here and had the tire on in less then 10 minutes. And only charges us $200 ! And completed the job. I would highly advise not to go here

IF YOU HAVE AAA, CALL THEM! Even if you have been towed to C&L, AAA can and will tow your car out of there for you, no charge. The employees were nice, they're the two stars, but the charges were off the charts. They charge $250 to scrap a car. There are many groups - including AAA affiliates - that will pay you $150-$250 for your car, and they will tow it from the tow yard, no charge. They insisted on full payment through the next day to even access my vehicle. Get yourself out of there as soon as you can. There are other businesses in the area that leave you in much better shape.
