After jumping my car tonight I drove it straight to Advanced, I was greeted by Al right away. I asked if I could borrow a screwdriver (to manually pop my hood bc the cable is broken) I was having a hard time when Al came out to check on me and he got my hood open in five seconds, tested my battery, alternator, and starter and emailed me the diagnostics. What started as a very stressful night was quickly resolved with his customer service and automotive knowledge. Someone give this guy a raise!
False advertisement, the worst "experience" . I had my battery tested as my car would start. A kid did the testing which he was not really sure on how to do. The manger ( long hair pony tail ) had to instruct on how to read the test. My battery indeed was dead, needed a new one. Was all set to purchase no matter cost as they advertise installation of the new battery. The manager refused to install, stating it will take too long to nstall my battery. I have a Hyndai Tuscon. He said to me I have a business to run. Mind you there was not one other person but myself in the store and there were at least 4 staff that I could see. He insisted it would take 2-3 hrs. Well, needless to say I would not purchase the battery here, purchased elswher and my collegue installed the battery. Guess how long it took to install as I timed the process. 23 minutes. This store and the employee/manager give the worst customer service and false advertisement. I would never recommend them to anyone and My Company will stop using them !!! If I could rate a zero I would.
Gabriel is excellent employee here. He is always willing to help look something up for you, find what you need and all with a great attitude. I appreciate a lot your help. thank you so much. I hope you continue to grow in the ranks to spread your knowledge.

I would like to recommend this store and recognized the service of Al-Aziz. He was truly great, he was patient and help me to find the products that I needed and installed them in my car. I am very happy with the service and will continue coming to this store for any future auto parts needs.
Great customer service! I stopped by earlier this week because both of the headlights on my car weren't working, although the high beams were. Lloyd came out to my car to check it out and explained that it's the same bulb for both regular and high beams, and that the regular part in each had burned out and needed to be replaced. It was dark out and freezing, but he took the time to diagnose what was going on and to recommend what I needed to buy to fix it. Thanks Lloyd!
Some fellow white guy( don’t know his name) is a horrible person. Was delivering a DoorDash order the address on the app and in the app they didn’t have the right phone number or address. Went back to return it and he came up with attitude saying that I just need to drop it at the address. On the street in the middle of the road? I even showed him the address on that the app gave me and still staying that I’m the only person that had that problem. That person has to get fired. Doesn’t know how to treat people. Really feel bad for his coworkers.
Went to this location with battery issues 2x within 2 weeks. Everyone was very helpful, especially Lloyd. He was very nice and so positive both times. Was a breath of fresh air. Awesome customer service and skills!!
Lloyd P was amazing ! He made us laugh and went out of his way to help us with our questions and concerns. Had a amazing attitude and work ethic ! Definitely deserves a raise!!!
I ordered an oil filter online and within minutes I received notification that it was ready for pickup!! Samantha was kind and very helpful and even double checked that I picked out the right filter!! I had previously purchased the oil, but she was able to answer a few questions about the difference in full synthetic vs synthetic oil to make sure I picked out the right stuff. I would definitely shop there again… the service was outstanding!!
Store closes before closing time posted. In need of 1 part and the staff said company policy, we close earlier than the sign then laughed with his Co worker about it. Left me with my car on jackstands and unable to finish my repair
Very nice and professional employees. I needed the viper blades for my Toyota Venza. The lady employee helped me in the shop to find the one good for my car and even they helped me to put it on the car when I was struggling with the rear windshield viper. I highly recommend this Advanced Auto parts. Thank you 😊

I was having trouble with my BMW 328xi which had me stuck in the parking lot. I called the store to see if they had a relay that could possibly fix my issues to which Jason answered the phone. He wasn’t just polite, friendly and helpful, but he was also extremely knowledgeable. It wound up that they didn’t have the part in stock that I needed but with a single phone call to a BMW dealership he found the part for me and sent someone to pick up the part I desperately needed to get my car running again so I could make it home. It wasn’t too much later that the driver returned with the part, I paid and ran out to my car praying that it would start. It fired straight up and I was able to make it home safe and sound. Jason provided me with an experience I’ll never forget and while there is so much more to this day then the brief description I’ve given. His service and professional yet friendly attitude ensured that I’ll forever be a lifelong customer to this store. THANK YOU so much Jason! God bless.
These guys are great, each staff member i've encountered has been friendly, knowledgeable and finds what i need in minutes; on two occassions, however, their computer system has had SNAFUs--come on IT folks, give your frontline troops what they need to finish the job!
The guy who’s answering the phone is extremely rude. He would yell at me whenever the phone line would automatically transfer to him, when he tells me to hang on. Like, if it was my fault their damn line would call them back. Really unprofessional, I will never call or step foot on this store again. The one customer service in the Hackettstown location is a lot better.
I had a wonderful experience there!!! An associate named Lloyd helped me out very much!!! He helped me pick out replacement headlight replacement bulbs for my car!!! He installed them for me!!! Lloyd gave me excellent customer service!!! I appreciate this store!!! Thankyou very much!!! Steve
Purchased a breaker bar and It lasted 9 minutes. No big deal. I figured it would be an easy return since I was just there. Sometimes products are just defective. The person I believe to be a manager would not let me return it. Argued with me for about 10 minutes. Told me Advance Auto Parts doesn't allow returns!! I know this isn't true because I spend a lot of money at Advance Auto Parts and stopped going to this location two years ago when I watched this same individual pull parts out of another customers fuel filter and put it in my box to try to sell me the more expensive one!! Finally after lots of arguing he allowed the return but in a very rude way. Kept going on and on about how they accepted $500,000 in returns last year which contradicts his first statement of course.
Waited while one counter person helped someone try to match up a part. One fellow in front of me with a snow brush and I behind him with a wiper blade. Two other workers in the store but nobody lifted a finger to help. After 10 minutes or so of waiting, I use my phone to check Amazon and found the same wiper blade for $15 less. Thank you for being so unattentive. Saved me 15 bucks! I tried to buy local..but..
Rob is one of the most helpful people I've dealt with. He is a very knowledgeable of car parts and provides great customer service. Advanced Auto is lucky to have such a good employee.
The staff in there is outstanding no joke. They went out there way to help me find parts for my car, in addition they also went to car with making the part fitted right inspite of, if they were busy or not. That's what I call treating customers with respect, professionalism, care and very intuitive awareness of people's concern. Keep up the good work guys and I'll keep coming there. You guys deserve 5stars-plus.
Big shout to Rob at Advance Auto. He really takes the time to care for its customers and help them find the parts needed. I am really appreciative of his patience as he looked at inventory and event called nearby stores to assist me with the parts I needed. Many parts; also many FREE offers, from checking/installing batteries, testing starters and alternators, free wiper blade installation, ; military discount, and free loaner tools. (Plus there's a Dunkin' nearly next door.)
I had to do an emergency brake job on the spot because of a failure on my pads found out that I needed new rotors and new calipers which I got from here I got stuck with a couple seized bolts and other parts if it wasn’t for the knowledge of Robert and Cassondra combined I would’ve never left that parking lot with my vehicle they literally saved my butt and I can say right now they went beyond What you would expect from any person working at advance auto parts they shouldn’t just be given a raise they should be given some kind of award from the company because they really are great service people and I really owe them a lot for all of the help that they gave me.
These two know there stuff and truly care for the people there helping thanks guys.
Needed help figuring out which lights to get and how to change them, Rob helped me out big time coming to my car and showing me what to do. Advance auto parts is the way to go if you're unsure about anything or just need help with anything going on with your car. Thank you so much!
I recommend using Amazon rather than this store. I've been here twice and the service is horrible one person left to handle everything while the manager DOES NOTHING ESPECIALLY TONIGHT. I specially ordered a part was told it would come in Wednesday and I called once to check on the ETA since it is now Friday was told it will be here in a half hour. So I stopped in tonight and it's as if I never placed an order the counter person was trying to help and the manager sat in the shadows as a line built up behind me. I already fully paid for the part also !!! I will be getting my refund tomorrow and using amazon I'm not one to complain I'm very laid back but Advanced Auto Corporate needs to keep an eye on this location before it's gone due to lack of customer service.
