Tommy is the most honest mechanic I have ever used… he has told me on numeral occasions my car needed nothing.. I have 3 vehicles and I refer everyone I know to him…

Tommy auto repair shop is number 1 on my mechanic list... I don't care how far I have to travel to get to his shop honesty is the best policy... He's a very honest person and got me back on the road.... Thanks

I was travelling on Holiday with my car which I normally maintain myself, just a week after having done major repairs which included replacing the turbo. I was still delaing with minor leaks following that work, but even once I got everything holding the car was still losing coolant. It turns out to not be related to the recent work, but just coincidental that the water pump failed. Becuase I am on Holiday, in someone else's house, etc. it just wasn't feasible to change a water pump. I called and spoke to Tommy, and expected to be told something like "sorry, we don't touch work you've done", or "we will have to just re-do everything to be sure it is right", or "we don't change parts without us diagnosing" etc. But instead, he was professional and took on the work without any push back, and worked my car into his schedule, and turned it out the next morning, and mentioning how clean that engine bay is and how that makes it easier to work on. There was not attempt to upsell anything, and I detected no BS whatsoever. That is a rarity in the industry, and I am very fortunate to have found this shop.

Tommmy is the Best mechanic , he fixed my 1981 Chevy G 10 van it now runs like a brand new vehicle. I think he might be some sort of wizard .honest reasonably priced and done very professionally . I would recommend him to anyone I cared about. He is the best you will never be disappointed

After moving to NJ in 2020 I didn’t know any reliable mechanics. My neighbor had referred me to Tommy for new brakes, rotors and an oil change. Service was great fare and didn’t break the bank. I now bring both my daily drivers along with my classic car to Tommy. He has performed multiple jobs for me including engine work, upgrades, high performance exhaust system and carburetor rebuild. The GOAT of auto repairs! I've been using Tommy's Auto Repair for a few years now, and despite having moved almost 30 minutes away from his garage, I continue to use them. Tommy's expertise, professionalism, turnaround time, and honesty is unmatched. From a simple brake fix to a full engine replacement, Tommy has always delivered top-notch service. As a recent example, my car broke down and despite it being a Saturday when his garage was closed, Tommy still answered my call. He took the time to troubleshoot the issue over the phone and we arranged to have my car towed to his shop same day. By Monday morning, the issue was diagnosed and I was on my way shortly thereafter.

My name is jeff. I work hard and have no time for slackers or foot draggers. I judge men based on their commitment to their trade and their family. Tommy is a stand out person in both zones of responsibility. I have have 3 separate vehicles that have more than 300,000 miles on them.......i have built gyms in 11 states so you can imagine how important reliable transportation is to me. Often i have any one of 14 trailers i own in tow with me. This means a break down takes two tow trucks.....not cheap if you break down. one vehicle is a 2004 excursion with almost 1/2 million miles and only required and engine replacement at 416,085 miles. It went that far on the original engine because of tom's care and his expertise. Tom candidly tells me what my vehicles would need and doesn't pad out the bill on parts or labor......he fairly charges for what the actuall parts cost and only for real time on the specific task. Subsequent to that engine replacement he has literally replaced the transmission, suspension, air conditioning, fuel pump, brakes numerous times, 3 sets of tires, and guided me when i wanted to have the body work done. All of the work he did himself stayed fixed, never failed again, and his repairs never needed even one adjustment...... he nailed it the first time - every time. Dependable, reliable, affordable, and knowledgeable. In all honesty with no question the most talented mechanic i have hired in 5 states and as a bonus one of the most honest men i know. The honesty is as important to me as the skills he has NUFF SAID.

Tommy is the man! I have been coming to him for years and won't bring my car to anyone else. He will take my calls and give me advice even if I don't need a repair. And when I do need a repair he is honest and upfront and reasonable with prices I recommend him to anyone

Tommy is fantastic! Very honest, knowledgeable, personable, trustworthy and reasonable! He will not rack your bill up for unnecessary repairs like other shops do. We travel 45 minutes to him because we don't trust other shops. He is an excellent mechanic! He helps us whenever any one of our 4 vehicles have an issue. Glad we found him!

I needed my brakes and tires replaced and was quoted nearly double for brakes alone at Firestone. I searched on Google and came upon Tommy's shop. Tommy replaced my brakes and tires for nearly what I would have paid at Firestone for brakes alone, and he did it the very next day in a few hours. I would and will recommend him to anyone in need of repairs. He is honest and will do the job correctly the first time. He even called me to ask how my car is running a few days later. Give Tommy your business, not the chains!

If you need someone you can trust to take care of your vehicle, you won't do better than Tommy's Auto Repair in NJ. Tommy is an old school mechanic. Honest, knowledgeable, and extremely hard working. I am very handy and can do a lot of things myself, but if I run into something I don't have the knowledge, tools or experience to tackle, I take into Tommy's. He'll figure it out when others shrug their shoulders. Also, very importantly, he'll do it at an honest price which chains can't come close to matching. Better work/best price! Took my work truck in for repairs as I needed to get it going for the upcoming work season. Tommy was absolutely fantastic, diagnosed my truck, fixed the issues and its running perfectly! He was honest, reliable, meticulous, and professional. It took me a long time to find a mechanic as trustworthy as him and I will not be going anywhere else as its hard to come across a gentleman like himself these days. As a single mother, I’m always weary of mechanics or salesmen. However I called Tommy one day from a referral at auto zone. Not only did he stay late for me. He diagnosed and fixed my car on the spot. As if that wasn’t enough he told me to stop by every week so he could check the oil and catch any issues. WHO DOES THAT!? He was ABSOLUTELY THE BEST PERSON AND MECHANIC I have ever met. Btw I have a 01!Nissan so good car but old car. I can’t say enough good things. ????

I had a water leak into my car’s trunk.Tommy was extremely quick and accurate at finding the correct source of the problem. He ordered the appropriate repair part and I was there to view his installation. His diagnosis was spot-on and his installation time just under a half an hour! No hassles, a perfectly installed repair job and with ALL the rain we have been having, the trunk is water- free! Kudos to Tommy!!!

I needed a mechanic to inspect a pre-owned Jeep and came across Tommy’s place in Middletown, NJ. I dialed him early in the morning on a Monday to get a Pre Purchase Inspection. No wait time. I was charged a fair rate AFTER a thorough inspection. Tommy was very humble and sincere upfront and very knowledgeable. Im not mechanically savvy. I needed a reliable, trustworthy mechanic. Tommy did not try to take advantage of me. Price for repairs and labor he quoted me did not exceed what he promised and everything was done on time. I understand why he’s got such amazing reviews. Highly recommend.

Its hard to find a good reliable mechanic. After many on and off years between visits to other mechanics, I can say I trust my car and wallet to Tommys Auto Repair. Found him 2 years ago and is where myself and some family members trust to take our cars to. Shoots from the hip which I prefer and gets the job done right with the right parts. You the man Tommy !

Tommy is the best mechanic you'll find and a great guy all around! My brother and I have been taking our cars to him for several years with excellent results every time. He's honest, his work is flawless, prices are fair, and turnaround time is quick.

Over the last few years, I've had Tommy work on four vehicles of mine and family. Consistently, his work is excellent in every way. First and only review I will probably post. Tommy has fixed four of my 15 year old plus cars I have owned and kept them on the road and safe until it was time for the car to go to the scrap yard (at a certain point it doesn't make sense to fix the car and Tommy always gives you the straight up view). Always a fair price and won't fix items that don't need fixing. If you are looking for an honest guy to fix your ride go see Tommy!
