Great food. Long overdue review! We are grateful to live near by a vegan spot offering such a big menu. The buffalo cauliflower is hands down my favorite. I always get it when we come. ( it’s GF) The house made sauce it comes with is so delicious and refreshing I could drink it. I got the corn fritter special today and it was so YUMMY ( also GF) and a big portion. My husband loves the black bean burger or eggplant pesto sandwich. We love the FF. Just wish they came more crispy/well done. It’s a great spot with great food

I can’t adequately express how much I love this restaurant in a review. It’s some of the best vegan food I’ve ever had. Each dish is not only top-tier delicious but very affordably priced, quality considered. I found the Seitan BBQ Ribs to be especially impressive as someone who converted to vegan eating later in life: stellar texture and flavor. Every single thing on this menu is a winner. Nadine always takes great care of customers both eating in and taking out.

If you're looking for delicious food for dinner and want variety that keeps you coming back, this is the place! The food always tastes fresh, and has a variety of cuisine from around the world. My go to vegan pizza place as well!

First let me say that we are not vegans. We dined here on our consecration of no meat. The food was surprisingly delicious! The food was seasoned very well and pleasing to the eye!! We would definitely dine here again. Kaya’s sampler- 10/10 Pineapple curry veggies over rice 10/10 Seitan steak, mashed potatoes w/gravy and veggies 10/10 Took dessert home Lemon layered cake Caramel Apple cheesecake This place is a must try !!

Its hard to find total vegan so it was refreshing to be able to order anything. Worth the drive. Stew on mashed potatoes was delicious. Got french toast, hoagie, and chili for take home. All were fantastic. Will go back.

Kaya’s Kitchen is always a great experience. The food is delicious, comforting, and made with so much heart. Our go-to items are the country nuggets, drumsticks, and mac and cheese, but everything is delicious! We’re so lucky to have this vegan gem in our community.

I've been going to this place for the past 10 years. Always tasty and always nice to be there. Love every single thing I've ordered there! Highly recommend!

BELMAR: Kaya's Kitchen is a beloved, long-standing vegan spot in the heart of downtown, offering an extensive menu of breakfast, lunch, dinner, and even catering. We grabbed their “Thanksgiving Feast for One” this holiday, and it was incredible: three different proteins, all the classic fixings, and a slice of pumpkin pie to finish off the perfect meal. They usually have a couple of outdoor tables available for dog-friendly dining when the weather is nice. Be sure to give them a follow to stay updated on specials and events!

This place is one of our favorites! We went for lunch today. I got the Tempeh BLT with potato salad, and my other half got the Oyster mushroom poor boy with a side salad. Both were outstanding. Like, lick your plate good. Service is always excellent, and extremely patient as it takes a while for us to make up our minds due to the ample menu. I don't think we've ever had a meal here we didn't like. That's saying something, because I can be a picky B. ?? The vibe is warm, inviting, artsy, and eclectic. Do yourself a favor, and try this gem of the Jersey Shore!

I love this vegan spot on the Jersey shore so much. It's a huge menu with so many choices. The portions are huge as well. You will definitely not go hungry and some of the entrees are so big.. it will feed you for a few days. They serve desserts from vegan treats but two of my favorites are made in-house. Those are the crumb cake and the cannolis which are to die for.

Jersey doesn't have a lot of fully vegan restaurants and those open for dinner are even fewer. Still - Kaya's Kitchen is a high quality vegan restaurant not to be missed, if you enjoy plant-based food. My partner and I love breakfast food at all hours so were very glad they serve breakfast all day. We each had a vegan take on the Jersey pork roll. It was absolutely delicious and the home fries were cooked nicely as well. I had a delicious, earthy fresh juice - Jungle Boost. Desserts were tasty too, though I felt like my Tiramisu could have used a little more coffee flavor. The cream was one of the best vegan creams I've ever had. There are some gluten free dessert options too. The staff was extremely friendly and good vibes all around. I will be frequenting this restaurant a lot in future. Looks like they do a lot of takeout as well, if you don't have time to sit and enjoy in the restaurant.

Food was absolutely wonderful and our server was fantastic. Great personality and really knew their dishes.

First, this is an all vegan restaurant, so this review is based on vegan food, not "is this the same as full menu restaurant". That being said, the food here is fantastic (with the only negative being the 'chicken' fingers.). The tofu, saitan, mushroom, and vegetable dishes are great. Nice vibes, we had live music on a Friday night. Attentive staff. Daily specials.

I’m always hesitant to give vegan restaurants anything less than 4 stars, but this was really not up to snuff. We got the lion of Judah bowl, the BBQ ribs and a cannoli. The lion of Judah bowl was so-so. Dry-ish chickpeas and dry lentil loaf. Occasional pleasant pops of ginger and allspice, but the sauce was boring and slightly too sweet. The Seitan BBQ ribs were too chewy for my tastes. Ribs should be tender and fall-apart. The dough would be better amended with some tofu or chickpea flour to introduce some tenderness to the gluten. The BBQ sauce on the ribs, however, was phenomenal! The perfect blend of sweet and savory with a mild black pepper undertone. We also got Pierogies, the sauce was flavorful! Like a beefy broth with onions. The Pierogies and filling themselves were simple, soft potatoey, and mild, but the sauce definitely pulled its weight. The Cannoli was disappointing. Having sat in the fridge premade, the shell & chocolate chips got totally soggy (and the filling was weirdly grainy) pass on this one unless you can get one fresh. (And I don’t know, if the graininess of the filling was because of cold coconut oil, maybe leave it to sit at room temp? But then you may encounter sogginess. There may just be no winning in this situation.) We sat outside, and the counter person was super friendly and accommodating. I’d be willing to give them another try. Maybe we just chose the wrong things.

This restaurant is absolutely amazing. We came here a few years ago and kept wanting to come back and finally did for our ten year anniversary together. The service is phenomenal and extremely pleasant. The food is the best for any kind of food, let alone vegan. My fiancé is vegetarian and this is obviously her favorite place. The seitan stroganoff was insanely amazing. The buffalo tempeh was outstanding and the cucumber ranch dressing with it is the best pairing I never had before. I didn't get to try her Reuben sandwich but she said it was incredible. The chocolate peanut butter bomb cake was excellent. The potato salad is the best I've ever had anywhere in history and I've been to more parties and tried more potato salad than I could remember but this was the best ever and so good we brought a side home. If you are vegetarian/vegan and haven't been here, you're really missing out. Also, being a byob makes it perfect. Definitely one of our favorite restaurants ever. Creative perfection is the best way to describe this place.

Such wonderful execution on their dishes. Big shout out to owner/head chef. Can’t recommend enough. If you’re into quality food, no matter your diet you will enjoy.

The ambiance and music are good. The food unfortunately can do better. Most of the seitan or tempeh or kabob are undercooked and not tender or fresh. Its a bit overpriced for the taste or the quality.

The buffalo cauliflower was yummy. Great atmosphere. BYOB. Gluten free options are clearly marked.

Wonderful experience. Been here a couple of times but each time it gets better and better. Tried the French dipper and it was delicious. Also got a cup of coffee with my meal. Highly recommend to vegans, non-vegans, and everyone in between. It won’t disappoint! Oh yeah and everything on the menu is vegan!

This restaurant is vegan, the food is delicious, they have a super varied menu, 100% recommended. My family enjoyed the food, and those who were not vegan were happy with the food.

First time and I am sold lol. Took my wife(not vegan) and she loved it. Staff was attentive from the beginning and super friendly. Guacamole was fresh and delicious. I ate some that day which was great but was full, saved it for lunch next day. Taste and texture to good dessert. Only thing I can add is my lemonade was super sweet. Thank you for a great experience and definitely will be back.

A vegan oasis! Named after the owner's daughter, Kaya, this restaurant serves up an eclectic variety of plant-based vegan dishes that made us want to dine here over and over again, so we can try them all! They had two daily specials (including Italian pierogies - see photos) when we visited in August 2024. The waitress we had was very friendly, conversational, and greeted and served us with a smile. Highly recommended! Wish we lived closer but we plan to stop here on our next trip.

Relaxed atmosphere, relaxed service. All food full of flavor, we had Kaya’s platter, cheesesteak, and tempeh Reuben. Just moved home from Philly. Would put it on same level or better as the 10+ vegan spots we ate at in the city.

We drove an hour to visit Kaya's Kitchen (hadn't been here since last year). It is worth the drive! The menu is full of great choices ! Love the atmosphere and the food. I wish there was another location closer to me! Update! Visited on March 24 It was a sunny day, so we drove to Kaya's and we had an incredible meal! I highly recommend the sampler platter which includes BBQ "ribs", Buffalo "wings, "chicken" nuggets and the delicious potato salad! I must warn you this is definitely enough for a full meal for 2 people! We boxed our sandwiches to go!

Staff is exceptionally sweet & food is great- just have to order the right things. Really cute indoor vibe too! I brought 4 of my meat eating friends here and they loved it- buffalo cauliflower wings were bomb, oyster mushroom hoagie exceptional, tacos to die for, & impossible burger so so good. I got the quesadillas and i didnt like how cheesy/ soggy they were personally! Would definitely return to try other menu items everything looks soo good!! ALSO sooooo cost efficient!!!

The whole entire menu is loaded with yummy food I want to try! I got the BBQ ribs and Mac and cheese. Finished with blueberry cheesecake. Absolutely delicious. My server was Sarah. She did her job with a smile and made sure everyone was very well taken care of. She is awesome! The hostess was Angie. She saw me looking at a shirt and asked if I'd like one. I did. Then we started chatting about shirts, and food. I brought up that I am from Hershey Pennsylvania, about 2 and a half hours from Kaya's and I frequent a bakery called Vegan Treats. She mentioned that vegan treats supplies Kaya's with some desserts. If you get a cannoli from Kaya's, it's from Vegan Treats in Bethlehem PA. Highly recommend because I know Kaya's has top notch desserts. Angie and Sarah are awesome!

This place can simply be described as an experience when I went here there were so many options. It's like they had a little bit of every single cuisine I remember. I personally ordered an enchilada with some sesame sensation and steak, now one thing that I think is crazy is that everything I just said had no meat in it and not even me. No cheese. This place is completely vegan. Now I know that it's commonly considered that vegan food is not the best, but in this case it was really good and personally I'm vegetarian so I never tried it before. So for me I didn't know how to compare this so that I will not be speaking. But as a vegetarian I will say that the food was really good. The only small issue is that sometimes they use a lot of barbecue sauce. And as I said, I'm a vegetarian not a meat eater so I don't know how much barbecue sauces usually use. But in my steak, which was what I personally ain't there was just a lot of barbecue sauce to the point I had to scrape some of it off. But this doesn't mean that the steak was bad or the fake steak in this case was bad. It was still really good and I enjoyed it a lot. I also got ribs which are vegan and those were also really good and I just love the shop design because it had a nice atmosphere and the service was great. The people help you with deciding and I just love restaurants that have staff that you know. Help you with making decisions because that's probably the hardest thing, especially in this restaurant, considering you could literally find so many different cuisines in this one restaurant. They also have a good dessert selection and I had the lemon cake which was Good. In conclusion, this place is just a great place to go. If you're vegetarian and you want to try some fake meat or maybe it's also good if you eat meat and you want to try eating fake meat. This place is definitely a great place to go with friends but it is on the more expensive side but again it is basically worth it. One more thing is that the portion sizes are good so you don't have to worry about going home hungry. You'll probably have to worry about having to pack some though because it's really good.

Have been there twice already! One of the few best tasting vegan food in NJ. The best so far has been their pizza and Jambalaya. They can definitely make their enchiladas softer but overall a pleasant experience.
