Place has all boat needs. Prices are reasonable and workers are always pleasant from parts to everything else.

If you’re Black or Asian, don’t come here. I had a very upsetting experience at this business. The way I (or someone else) was treated felt clearly racist and discriminatory. No one should ever be treated differently because of their race or background. I hope they reflect on their actions and make serious changes. I do not recommend this place based on how they treat people.

Great selection down the street from Raritan Bay. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable. Will be back soon to get more stuff for my boat. Stored my boat there in the winter and could think of a more professional crew.

Lockwood is the place to go for your boating needs. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and always ready to help with any questions. Their experience shows, and they make the whole process smooth and easy. Highly recommend for anyone needing expert advice and great customer service!

I only know Lockwood as a customer of charter fishing I've never used any of their boat maintenance or storage services but they seem to be pretty top notch, easy access to the boats nice bathroom and a clean facility. My only complaint is just that if you're fishing on a charter boat it's a pretty far walk from parking but there is room to unload all your gear at the boats

Outstanding service and parts supply . If they do not have they can get it. It is one thing to order online but nothing beats holding it in your hand before you buy. The store is outstanding. The customer service was excellent. A family owned and operated business since 1946...well that says something. I was told to try them by a large national chain when they did not have the part and Lockwood did. I travel one hour to get there and it is worth it.

Great people, great inventory, and great location..... They always have what I want... If they don't, they'll get it! But be prepared to pay for all the postage! $$$$

Quality work with friendly and helpful staff. Love that they put your winter storage boat in slip for several days to ensure all is well before heading out for the season.

I had a bad experience with a repair on an outboard motor, I ended up missing out on a season. However, Lockwood has a large inventory of just about anything you may need in their store which is pretty good.

Need something for your boat, mooring, or dock? Lockwood has almost everything you need, and if they don't have it, they will either get it for you or help you find it! Nice people, very helpful. Would definitely recommend!

Yes they have a nice facility and all the parts you need. But By all means do not bring your boat here to get serviced , as they are overpriced do it yourself parts replacers. Not qualified mechanics. Lol qualified mechanics i told you guys what the problem was. You charged me $1500 to put my boat in the water and take it for a test drive and then wanted $5000 for exhaust manifolds. Got a set of manifolds from sierra marine for $500 and in 45 minutes boat was running. Oh and I forgot to mention these guys are a bunch of alcoholics. When I dropped the boat off I went into the garage to ask where they wanted me to park it. Bunch of guys sitting around drinking couldn’t be bothered to answer me. Then when picking boat up they refused taking a credit card for the test drive only cash. Because they were afraid I would cancel payment .I called the cops because they wouldn’t release my boat and when I did the Lockwood brothers showed up hammered drunk. I even ask the cop if he’s gonna let these guys drive home. While waiting outside the parts guy was leaving for the day and he told me this happens all the time and I was right these guys aren’t good mechanics. Oh and by the way I am a L1 L3 ASE Master technician with 20 years in the field.

Took my boat to lockwood to have fuel removed from 1 tank. They charged me $569 for 23 gallons. 3 hours labor and $5 a gallon to dispose of fuel. My husband removed 35 gallons in 45 minutes. I can say they ripped us off. Would not recommend getting any work done there. Not trust worthy response to your claim.. You did not give us a quote. So you go down as liars to!!! Way to go!

I generally don’t write reviews but my experience with Lockwood was extraordinary. We live in Charleston SC. I have a son living in Wyoming and was flying in to go fishing. We lost our port lower unit and could not find a lower anywhere. Lockwood had a used unit recently removed from a customers boat. I explained the situation about my son flying in to fish. She made sure the unit had been pressure tested, would function properly with my engine, palletized the lower, called around to get best shipping price and stayed late to get out for overnight delivery. This type of service does not happen everyday. Thanks to Ellen and Lockwood for saving our days off shore. Highly recommend their company. Phil

I paid nearly $200 in uber fees because I was told the part i needed was in stock. When i went to pick it up i was told there would be one arriving the next morning. Then i came back the next day to pick up the part and found out they had 3 on the shelf the night before. It was a half hour uber ride each way so 2 hrs of riding around and $200 in uber fees because of mismanagement. I am a delivery captain and the repair could have saved me a day at sea. The only redeeming factor was the parts guy who knew what he was talking about.

I drive 30 mins to this place every time i need something Why? because no other boat store actually stock boat parts anymore the 3 near me are useless. It can be lil pricey sometimes but reasonable for the most part when i need something the same day they always have it.

Best marine supply store around. Yes you can get a hat and a nautical tee shirt here just like the big blue nationwide boat store.... but LBW is really about parts, supplies and folks that really know boats.

Awesome wholesome people. Huge selection of parts in store. They sell everything I look for from foul weather gear and boat shoes, to nautical house decor. I will go here before west marine! Support our local shops before they leave and we miss them!

Bill Lockwood and Lockwood boat works are the worst people to have you do your work. They will charge you massive amounts of $$ and pay you must if you want to get your boat back, even though they went over estimate which is usually the case with them. I had my sailboat there years ago. After numerous difficulties I went with my wife and two kids to pick up the boat and bring it to Atlantic Highlands. When I started the engine I noticed the cooling water wasn't coming out of the exhaust port. I checked the engine and the water strainer cap and gasket were missing. I found them in the bilge. I did not authorize them to do anything to the engine so I had to assume that they did it in retaliation to the difficulties that we had. Good thing I found the cap and had the engine running because that could have caused a disaster especially in narrow Morgan Creek by the railroad bridge. Really mean and greedy people. Stay away.

I purchased a radio from them for my boat. About 2 months later the radios volume stopped working. I called them and told them. The sales associates without a doubt ordered me a new radio and I hat it installed in my boat within 2 days. Great people. Great atmosphere. Great dealing with the business. It's the only place I go for parts for many reasons. Enjoy their hospitality and expertise!

We had expected to arrive there on Friday to load a sailboat going to Key West, FL. But we were a day late and expected we would have to wait until Monday, like it is the case with most marinas. But we were in for a surprise. Not only is this place open on Saturdays, but the actually did get us loaded and helped us to make sure the boat was safe and sound on our trailer. What a pleasant experience! Thank you, to the staff at Lockwood Boat Works. I would highly recommend them.

All I can say is top-notch. We have had several issues with this boat since the day we bought it since it's powered by Volvo pentas and I finally gave up and bit the bullet and came up to Northern New Jersey to get the work done with everything I've heard about Lockwood. They have been nothing but courteous and professional and the best part of all is they don't do any work until they tell you what they are doing unlike some places that are Volvo certified in the Brielle area. Owner told me multiple times that they are going to do a compression test check the plugs and the minor stuff first before the boats is winterized for the winter and that's all they've done. On top of telling me first what they're going to do and explaining what they're going to do they are setting up an estimate as well for the major repairs that have to get done come the spring. I've been to way too many places where I tell them the situation or what I want done and they just do it and then send the bill in the mail without any follow-up or any input on what they're doing or what they think they should do other than what I've said to do. For all those saying that they're overpriced or whatever on those negative reviews that I've seen a couple months ago to a year ago guys please do me a favor and sell your boat because obviously you have no idea what the cost or amount of money it takes to keep one in the family or keep one up to standard. You want to keep your boat going you want a good mechanic you want a trustworthy mechanic you want someone who's going to do the work the right way and on top of that like I said tell you what's wrong with the boat and get your permission to do the work which is the most important thing then you got to pay for the price that's it plain and simple. They've got me now as a customer for as long as i have this boat I am extremely grateful of all the work that they've done so far with being a new customer and I can only tell anyone else reading this if you want to go somewhere that I feel is trustworthy enough then this is the place

The only reason I put 1 star is because the only person that knows what he's doing is the parts guy. The mechanics dont even know how to fix our boat but they still charged us over 1500 dollars for the work they did and all they did was replace a hose in the outdrive and the boat still doesn't work. There the kind of mechanics that charge you for something but still didn't fix the problem and now you have a part you payed for and never needed in the first place. They don't care about the customers ,it's all about the money. The mechanics were drunk when we went there but that doesn't matter because it's all family that work there, no real mechanics so becareful if you bring your boat there. P.S. Don't say anything bad or they will block your boat in til you pay the bill with CASH. THERE THE BEST THIEVES
