Had a Jasper engine installed. They are too slick for my own good. Don't do it.

We have been using GC Automotive over the last 5+ years for repairs on our Mercedes, Toyota and Audi. While every experience has not always been 100% the first time, Gary and his manager have managed to rectify any negative experience. They are upfront , honest, and local, which is very important to me and the family. I think it is worth giving them an opportunity no matter what type of car you have.

We have used GC Automotive & Performance for many years. Had a nail in my tire and they took me right away without an appointment. Fixed me up right away. GC Automotive & Performance is the best for reliable and reasonable services and is the best for their customer focus.

I'm disappointed to say I'm leaving after nearly a decade as a customer. I have also texted my recent feedback to the owner. Unfortunately, the service quality has dropped significantly over the past 2-3 years. I've been charged hefty amounts multiple times, only to have issues with my car persist. Each time I returned, I was told it was a new problem. Recently, I brought in another car due to a strange noise. I was quoted $4,000 to fix a supposed power steering fluid leak. I was shocked. Not returning to this place.

We all need a local garage that you can trust. GC is just that, honest, know and reasonably cost of repairs. Recently, I had my exhaust replaced and then this week my check engine light came on. Bob was great performing the engine diagnostic process and finding the air leak with a frayed hose the the engine assembly. He explained the process to me and showed me the defective hose. I wasn’t charged the high engine diagnostic price like other places charge you and the cost of the parts and labor were reasonable. Both recent visits were a pleasure.

First time we take the family truck to this place(mechanic )and I was really happy with everything . We called some places and they were booked. We found another mechanic but we’re asking crazy price for just a tire plug . Finally called this place and the car was fixed right away . Am vey happy 😁

Spent over $1000 at this place, drove my Toyota 4 TIMES and it was already misfiring again. Checked it out myself and I am not even sure they gave me a fresh coil. Not gonna even get into everything else, do not trust this shop, clearly they like to rip people off and then throw their hands up. Ended up having to sell the car. Never again.

This is not my first time here but definitely my last time coming, I think there is a change in management or ownership but the price has definitely went up by a lot. For a simple replacement job $460 and I provided all the parts. So for a one hour job 460 in labor that’s high way robbery. When I asked the front desk about the price he said we need to make profit we are losing money. So I said because your losing customers Update: thanks for the kind words of me being rude. Please let’s give an explanation to your prices. Work time one hour 189 per side You charged me $35 for hazmat You charged me $5 for hazmat You charged me 3.99% for using my card All these unnecessary fees total to 460 Also you wanted to charge me $3700 for a rack and pinion Job which time and 1/2 more than BMW. Also told me the power steering pump was bad which wasn’t

Based on other reviews, not sure if there was a new mechanic working on my car when I brought it in for a simple service. Only needed new tires put on old rims while I went to work down the road. This absolute clown cross-threaded and over-torqued every single lug nut. What a joke. Even after reading these other reviews I would never trust my vehicle with a place capable of making a mistake that basic.

GC Automotive has made repairs to my 20 year old Mercedes previously and has earned my repeat business. This time around my car needed repairs involving sensor problems with the gas pedal and also the front hood. Also needed parts replaced for keeping the hood up and for my windshield washer/ blinker assembly. All work completed timely and to my satisfaction. My brother, who is a top rated mechanic, said that the billing was reasonable for the work done. I will be returning when my car needs servicing!

I made an appointment almost a week in advance. Asked to have transmission looked at, told them it was slow shifting and sometimes very hard shifting. If transmission was ok , I wanted it serviced ( flushed and new filter) Dropped truck off on Tuesday night to be looked at Wednesday. Thursday was forth of July and knew I probably wouldn’t get it back till Friday. Friday came and went with no information. I called on Saturday, no answer. I called Monday at 1pm and left voicemail. Called back at 3 , and was told “ oh yeah, I meant to call you Friday “ they said transmission was solid and they would do the flush and filter. Called Tuesday at 1 , still not done. Called at 4 said it would be done by end of day. I paid for it and picked it up after hours and found an employees lunch remains on my passenger seat. Drove the truck 4 times afterwards and it was still shifting slow. On fifth drive transmission goes, I lose most of first gear and all of second and reverse. $400+ thrown away and almost stuck on highway ( was able to go first to third and limp home) the very thing that I was trying to avoid . I wouldn’t go back here.

Since I am new to this area, I searched online for the best rating and found GC. My Subaru needed new starter. Ron was so nice and made an every effort in finding the part with the best quality and the price. The work was done promptly. They are honest and trustworthy. I will recommend this place to everyone!

I recommend visit this place , if you want repair your vehicle , they are the best solution.

I have been going to GC Automotive & Performance for 3 years now. I have an older car. I had to have my air conditioning replaced and got a price from another shop in the area which wound up being almost double what GC Automotive quoted me. They replaced my air conditioning with no issues. Later in the year I also had a new starter put in. I priced around and GC Automotive was reasonable and quick. I also go for my oil changes. I can't say enough about this shop, they have helped me without breaking the bank. They are honest, reasonable and look out for their clients. I can't recommend them enough!

I have used GC Automotive 3 times so far and each time I have been very impressed with their commitment to excel. They are very well behaved, true professional and honest with their work and pricing. I will very highly recommend them to anyone looking for services.

As I get older - rarely does a day go by where I don't reflect on my regrets. Not making GC Automotive and Performance my go-to-spot is one of those. We Jeep owners are a finicky bunch - we don't know when enough is enough, and with GC Automotive in your corner, you can operate your cherished vehicle for many many more years than expected. Electrical wizards Mark and Greg did a superior job when they completed a total headlight replacement on my beloved 2002 Jeep Wrangler. The upgraded headlights were flawlessly leveled and installed with utmost care and precision troubleshooting during the process. If you drive an automobile in the State of New Jersey - bring it to GC Automotive and Performance. Drop the keys off to Ed at the counter, tell him what you want done he will give you a fair price and leave them alone. This Santa and Elf team need time and space to perform the wonderment that they do. The craftsmanship is wonderful. I whole heartedly recommend GC Automotive in Jamesburg, New Jersey. They have gone above and beyond in earning my rarely offered 5 star review.

Just had the car serviced. Honest, reliable, friendly. I’ve been using them for 6 years and have no complaints. I highly recommend them. I had other items taken care of besides the oil change. I have been a customer at GC Auto for many years. They always do a great job with repairs. They keep you informed about the status of your job and return the car in a timely manner. They are very accommodating. I have found the cost of their services is very fair.

Great to work with. Gary really knows his stuff. Fast friendly and goes out of his way to help. I was stuck once and stopped in for some help. He got me back on the road within the hour and back on our way. After that I have always gone back to them. They give me great pricing and no BS. Its hard to find a good mechanic these days and I won't take my cars anywhere else. They even drive me home when I leave my car. Very nice people.

I have been bringing my family's cars here for many years and have found GC to provide honest and reliable service at fair prices. Over this past weekend I found a used car I was interested in buying and Monday I called GC to see if they could inspect if for me. They said bring it right over. The inspection was done in 45 minutes and cost me $50 and Gary found a few things that needed attention I would have never seen on my own. I ended up negotiating several hundred dollars off the purchase price with the seller to account for these things so I made back my investment in the inspection easily and was able to buy the car the same day. I, of course, will be bringing the car to GC for service in the future. I feel very fortunate to have found an honest mechanic near where I live and work.

My family has been in the automotive business since the early 1900's. GC exemplifies the best I have ever seen in the industry. I left my van with them with an okay to fix my problem up to $500.00 ( my first time there... ), when they called the next day, I went down and it was something like $43.00. Everything they have done for me or the people I have recommended them to is done efficiently, on time and at a reasonable price...

A great experience. Finally, a garage that is honest and reasonable. I will only take my cars to GC Automotive. They never push anything extra. They take care of you car issues without ripping you off like other garages. Trust your car with GC Automotive. Especially being a woman I was treated well and fair with honesty. I have been going to GC for about 6 years, can't say enough good things about the service and value. Over the years I have been to many shops, and many dealers, the shops never seem to get it right and the dealers were more focused on finding things that didn't exist in order to generate a huge bill, the fear factor bill!! Here is what I like about GC, you get expertise, honesty, and value. I have no desire to take my cars elsewhere and no need to ever pay dealership inflated prices when I can get better service and value right around the block!!
