My car broke down while I was traveling to New York from Philadelphia. I went to a gas station who recommended Auto Authority. As soon as I told Roberto, what happened on the highway, he stopped what he was doing to help me. He did a diagnostic on my car and gave me an oil change. He was so friendly and thorough, and I am forever grateful to him for his services. He didn’t have to help me, especially since the shop had just closed, and helped me out of the kindness of his heart. If I could give him 10 stars, I would. If you are ever in the area, and need assistance,I would highly recommend!
Can't recommended Auto Authority enough. Great great service. Awesome staff and Lori at the front desk is the best. Brought my handicap van in for brakes and had it back the same day.
Roberto and Laurie once again helped us to find a low cost repair solution to justify keeping our older model Jeep on the road in the 100 degree heat when the AC compressor failed. Auto Authority is also the only independent shop that I trust to work on my Lexus LX. Honest diagnosis, fair prices and a pleasure to deal with!
I went to this location on the recommendation of a friend. I was greeted by Lori at the front desk who was very personable and knowledgeable. I explained that I would like my brakes checked and that I believed I may need new brake pads. They quickly took my truck for a drive and then checked out each wheel. Within an hour I received a call from Lori advising me that my brakes were fine and that new pads were not necessary and that I should come back and get my truck.
The honesty displayed here was so appreciated. I was prepared to spend quite a bit of money but that wasn’t the case at all. They will get my future business, and I recommend them highly.
I have known Roberto for many years. Excellent fully trained technician and can fix any vehicle. Very fair and 100% honest. Bring your vehicle here with confidence in knowing it will be done right.
UPDATE...6/5/25. Just got back my 06 Tahoe after extensive repairs. Rob brought it back to being safe and reliable. An absolute master technician. If you are anywhere near Jamesburg New Jersey, do not bring your car anywhere else. Auto Authority is the absolute best. Honest and fair. Thank you Rob and staff.
I would give this place ten stars if I could. I was up that way from VA and had a maintenance issue. The owner personally came and checked my vehicle out. Him and his crew took care of my vehicle so I could get back home safely. Can't say enough good things about this place. If you have issue and need your vehicle checked out definitely take it to this place and support a small business and some stand up individuals.
Had a fuel leak with my 6.7 power stroke coming from crack in the housing cap.
Brought it to Roberto’s shop. He had my truck fixed and back to me within four hours. The price was extremely fair and did good work.
He was even nice enough to have his daughter. Give me a ride home after I drop the truck off for repair.

A great local mechanic. Roberto has lovingly maintained all of the cars that I have owned as long as he's been here. No matter how intricate, bizarre or mundane- he will not rest until the problem is uncovered and fixed. The service is excellent the prices are fair and they disclose everything to you and give you options. His staff is wonderful and are ready to answer any questions you may have. Appointments are recommended.
Recently moved here from Edison where I had a long time mechanic I highly trusted. The AC was acting up in my car in this crazy heat wave. They fit me in on a Friday and I got it back repaired the same day. The lady that answered my call was friendly and helpful. I may have to give them my business since they are 7 minutes from home instead of 30 minutes.
The owner, officer manager and mechanics are wonderful folks that make you feel welcome.
They were informative and attentive while delivering my repaired vehicle as promised.
The best part was my repair was completed for 36% less than the closest quote.
Good people, quality work and great prices-give them a shot you won't be disappointed.

Took my newly powdercoated summer wheels here to get them mounted and balanced as this is one of the only places in the area that has a road force machine. They mounted and balanced all 4 without issue. However, after one day I noticed two of them were losing air.
I took them back, and they managed to properly seal one... but again, a few days later I took back the last wheel as it was still leaking, and they wouldn't even look at it saying the wheel was bent (it wasn't). They practically were like "tough luck". I didn't complain and just got out of there.
I took the wheel to Tony at DAC in Spotswood and they had it good to go within an hour. It has been fine ever since.
I had high hopes for this place, but after that experience I can't see myself giving my business to them again. Such a shame.
Always a great experience when coming into Auto Authority. Prices are fair and you can trust them No problem. Other mechanics just try to Upsell you every time you bring your car there, but not these guys! Every time I go there it’s the same routine and the same price. I highly recommend this business to anyone looking for an honest mechanic to work on their car..

The team over at Auto Authority have been working on my 05' PT Cruiser Turbo for a few years now. They do the "BIG" jobs that I can't. I am less than 200 miles from rolling over the 200K mark on my PT and Roberto and his crew have help her get to this point. Roberto and his staff stand behind their work. They replaced a motor mount back in July of this year, it was defective, but not even two month later it had to be replaced again, but after causing other damage. Auto Authority stood behind their work and I didn't have to pay anything for the repairs. My wife and my daughters have taken their cars to them as well. I normally do repairs on my car with a friend, but when it's beyond what we can do, I only trust my car to Auto Authority.
Roberto and Lori are the best family owned business around. Always friendly will tell you exactly what's wrong and if it's going to be an easy job or better off not spending the money. I respect the truth and they give it 💯 percent everytime...Prices are reasonable and will work with you if money is tight. If you want honest excellent service don't think twice bring your car where service will be precise. Keep local shops going represent Jamesburg. Me and my grandmother have been going here for years, and they always have been warm and welcoming. Affordable pricing, they get the job done quickly without taking shortcuts and are very thorough. I always recommend them to friends and will continue to be a repeat customer.
I've been taking my car here for about a year, and I'm very pleased with the service. I drive a 2005 Honda Civic, with high mileage, and I have a long commute. I need to feel confident that it's kept in good running condition, and I need to know my car will start, and not break down on that long ride. Roberto is a great mechanic, and always takes the time to explain everything to me. Very honest and trustworthy. Laurie, at the desk, is the best - always friendly and accommodating. I would recommend this shop to anyone who needs a good, honest mechanic.
