read the reviews for tires install before getting them done here. The day I went there were 4 out of 4 unhappy customers. Had an appointment at 6pm for installation of tires that I had made like a month prior, I didnt get out until 7:55 (another customer asked for an update and was told it would also get done since they didnt want to stay past 8, which i heard 3 times when i was there) I didnt notice until I got on the highway the following day and it seems like Im driving on rumble strips on speeds higher that 55 mph. They also scratched my rims that I was pretty proud of having with no marks. Do yourself a favor an pay a little extra and get it done elsewhere. None of the guys seem to want to be there except the one guy that checked me in.

100% NOT RECOMMENDED.
I went to the Walmart Tire Center in Edison, New Jersey to replace my tires. During the service, they damaged one of my TPMS tire pressure sensors.
When I left, the tire pressure warning light stayed on. I assumed it needed some driving time to reset.
After a full week, the light was still on.
I returned to Walmart. At that point, they claimed the sensor was already broken before I arrived, which is absolutely not true.
They then told me I could buy a replacement sensor from them and they would program it. Even though the damage was clearly caused during their service, I had to pay $28 out of pocket.
After installation, they said everything was fine.
I drove another 80 miles and the problem was never fixed.
I contacted Walmart Customer Service (800 number). A representative told me I would be contacted within 3 days to resolve the issue. No one ever called.
I called again and was transferred from department to department, with no solution and no accountability. Total chaos.
It is a complete disappointment that the Tire Center has a manager named Juan. He was completely unhelpful, showed no responsibility, and did nothing to resolve the situation.
Now, because of their mistake, I have to go to the dealer and spend around $400, possibly replacing or reprogramming sensors, since the cheap sensor they sold me does not work properly.
There is a saying:
“Cheap ends up being expensive.”
This experience proves it.
I am extremely disappointed and do NOT recommend the Walmart Tire Center in Edison, NJ to anyone.

I had a very bad experience with the Walmart oil change service for my vehicle. My car was checked in at 4:30 PM, and after waiting for over 2 hours, I was informed that I would need to pay an additional $10+ in order to proceed with the oil change. It then took 1 more hour for the service to be completed. In total, it spent over 3 hours waiting for a routine oil change. This level of delay and lack of clear communication is unacceptable and does not meet reasonable customer service expectations.

I went there for a TPMS sensor replacement. When they saw that my rims weren't stock, they said they couldn't perform the service. When I called and spoke to them on the phone, they had said it wouldn't be a problem. The reason for the zero-star rating is clear.

Manny the auto service manager is the absolute best! He is extremely courteous and professional! He listens to his customer and treats them like if they were family. I didn’t get a chance to get the name of the other employees there but they were all amazing and super nice! Manny thank you so much you are the best! I came in with a family emergency my tire was not ready but Manav made sure to find my tire and get it installed for me!

They had people on Part time and don’t want to give them full time. They put his friends on front of the schedule installation in Edison, NJ. They couldn’t install my tires so thru the phone they tell me to go to another place that they will pay for it. And now they to give me the money like they tell me they will do it.

Terrible service. Even though I had an appointment and submitted all my information online, it still took them 30 minutes just to check me in. The person who claimed to be a technician handled the front desk and kept asking for my car and personal details again while a long line was waiting. Don’t be fooled by the cheap prices — as others mentioned, if you want to waste 2 hours of your day for a simple tire change, this is the place

I purchased 4 tires as part of a Black Friday deal in November, with installation scheduled for today. The tracking information clearly showed that all four tires were delivered and ready for installation.
However, three days ago one tire was canceled without my approval or notification. Then today, the remaining three tires were also canceled, again without any authorization from me, on the same day as my scheduled installation.
This is extremely disappointing and unacceptable. I planned around this installation, and the tracking information confirmed delivery. Canceling all tires at the last minute has wasted my time and caused unnecessary inconvenience.
I expect a clear explanation for why my order was canceled without consent and an immediate resolution—either honoring the original Black Friday pricing, rescheduling installation promptly, or excuses for this error.Dec 06, 2025 -
WAl Mart in general needs to hire more employees for their automotive section… Peters customer service, and dedication to his job is over and beyond!! He deserves a raise. He deserves recognition. Mari customer service was fantastic!! Manny Dedication to his job is amazing. His customer service is amazing. It’s not the people working at Walmart. It’s WAl Mart. It’s self from the south to the north. They are horrible.! i’ve been coming to get my oil changed at Walmart for over 20 years!

I ordered a set of new tires for my truck online, but the earliest I could get them installed was two weeks after I bought them. That was already a bit annoying, but I figured I'd wait.
On the day of the appointment, I showed up on time. Manny checked me in, and within ten minutes, my truck was already in the bay. Things seemed to be off to a good start!
I even got a text update saying they'd started work and asking if I wanted to add extra services on the app. I decided to go for it and requested a Cabin Air Filter replacement and a truck deodorizing service.
But from that moment, the whole thing went completely downhill.
After nearly two hours of waiting, a text finally pinged that my truck was done. I immediately got in line, but I was customer number four, and it took another hour just to get my keys back. While I was standing there, an email came through saying I was getting a partial refund for the valve stems/TPMS service ("Tire Installation Package"), which was confusing.
The second I got into my truck, I noticed the add-on services hadn't been done. I checked the receipt; sure enough, they weren't listed. I was pretty irritated, but honestly, after waiting so long, I couldn't bring myself to go back inside and argue about it.
Then, when I started the engine, I heard it: a loud, new noise coming from the muffler. I spotted one of the mechanics who had been working on my truck and asked him what the noise was about. His response? He simply said they only changed my tires, didn't lift the truck, and then walked away. Zero help.
The bottom line, if I could give them negative stars, I absolutely would. I spent almost three weeks waiting for the tires and then wasted hours at the shop only to have them take forever (a one-hour wait for my keys after the truck was "done"). They fail to perform the extra services I was charged for, and not tell me and cause a new, loud muffler issue without taking any responsibility for it.
The whole time, I noticed the mechanics working on my truck kept stopping what they were doing to stand around and chit-chat for 5–10 minutes at a time—and based on their gestures, it clearly wasn't work-related.
Nobody on their team took the time to inform me that the extra services were skipped or, more importantly, to address the new, unusual noise my truck was making. It was a completely unacceptable experience.

Got 2 tires installed. 3 months pass and my lug nut was completely broken and came off. They did not install the tire correctly and since they do not do regular mechanic work, now I have to pay for repairs. Do not get tires installed here.

The service was good. I was not told that I had to pay extra if they went over and needed a bit more oil, however the manager Manny and the sales person Kaylen were helpful. I could have honestly paid more else where so I am not mad. The people made my wait pleasant. Thank you Mr Manny and Kaylen.

Bought tires for installation. Drove 30 mins out only to be told they could not work on Teslas. They informed me they would refund the installation fee and that I would have to initiate the return on my account for the actual tires. I returned the tires on the Walmart app however I called to inform the store since they were holding the tires. Ive been on hold 3 times (10 mins each time). I'm attempt another call. Pray they actual take my call..very disappointed.

Ordered the tires online and scheduled for inatall. The check in process was a breeze and the whole tire change took a little bit over an hour.

I was at the Tire place in Walmart located 2220 state route 27 in Edison. Whatever could have went wrong it did. I would say if it wasnt for 2 great young ladies Kaylen and Mari. They took all my anxiety away. They helped me and my nerves. From me ordering the wrong tires to Kaylen personally helping me return the tires and purchasing the correct ones and Mari helping with great convo while we wait on installation of my tires. When leaving I thanked them soooo much. Will definitely make this my store for future tire purchases.

DONT DESERVE ANY STAR- this "star" method should be changed to accomodate some negative "sign". I brought my 2023 Nissan Rogue SL in for a routine oil change at Walmart Auto Care Center on July 11, 2025, and drove off the lot to discover that every single camera system—rear‑view, surround‑view, parking‑aid guidelines—was completely disabled. When I returned and asked the technicians to inspect the issue, they flatly refused to take any responsibility or even look under the hood, insisting that an oil change “could not” affect camera function.
Filing a claim was equally infuriating. An “independent expert” dismissed my concerns outright, declaring that there was no possible connection between an oil change and disabled electronics, and the claim handler refused to accept any outside mechanic’s report, labeling it “biased.” I’ve wasted time, will have pay out of pocket for repairs, and been left with zero accountability. I strongly warn anyone considering Walmart Auto Care—whether this store or any other location—to think twice before letting them near your vehicle’s electronics. I ordered my tires online to get installed in the stores; when I arrived, the employees told me that my tires never came and that the appointment was delayed to a later time, but it was later cancelled. No explanation, nor expected time of arrival, their only solution that they offered me was to cancel and re-order without any assurance that the tires would arrive on time. Additionally, the customer service did not know how to track my order.

Horrible experience, wish I can give it 0 stars. If you need just a simple tire swap expect a 2 hour wait and your car returned with your wheel locked and check engine light on, and to top it all off the girl, Mari, at the front desks attitude. Do not understand how these employees continue to have a job after giving customers horrible experiences. Went in with a nail in my tire and walked out with wanting it in my head. Never go here!!

Unfortunately, all the negative reviews are true. My car was brought in today to switch out a tire that was under warranty. The appt and tire order were made in store a couple weeks ahead of time. Today, they claimed there was no appt scheduled or tire order, and when they were shown the confirmation texts, they claimed the order # was not a walmart order. The employee then aggressively tried to convince us to buy another brand's lower quality tire while making fat phobic comments to my BIL. After a 2 hour wait, they still had no idea when my car would be serviced. When asked, the auto center manager told us he was going home because he didn't want to work OT. It was 4pm. The auto center closes at 7pm. We just left to take our business elsewhere. Never coming back.

"Extremely disappointing experience! Had an appointment for a simple tire change, but when I arrived, I was told their machine wasn’t working for the job. The worst part? No one bothered to inform me beforehand, so I wasted my time showing up. To make matters worse, no one seemed to have any idea when the machine would be fixed. All they did was keep rescheduling my appointment to the next available day without any real resolution. Completely unprofessional and frustrating!"

After leaving a negative review about their service, my scheduled appointment was abruptly canceled as a form of retaliation. This unprofessional behavior speaks volumes about their customer service standards.
Additionally, they seem to have questionable scheduling practices, such as booking oil change appointments for tire-related services. Worst automotive service experience ever! Arrived Monday @ 4:45 PM for a 5:00 PM appointment made more than 3 weeks ago. My car was not completed until 7:33PM. Mounting & balancing 4 tires should not take 2 1/2 hours! Worse yet, my car was returned to me with ALL 4 wheels deeply scratched which I didn't see in the dark until I got back home in my garage. Walmart claims they have no responsibility for damage to your vehicle.
NEVER AGAIN!! I should have heeded the many other on line reviews about how bad this place is!

Excellent Customer service! My Oil change was done in less than an hour. I pulled up to Auto Center with ease. Glad I didn’t listen to the negative reviews. Come on down and find out for yourself! I did my appointment through the app. I was on time. Give or take 5 minutes *wink! The mechanics were extremely professional. I observed mechanics displaying that same courteous professional mannerisms to all the customers. Front end cashier area, patient, with same professionalism.. Actually wish I had everyone’s name! I even did some shopping! What an amazing experience!..Edison Walmart you’re an excellent store. Keep up the great work.

I got a great deal for my tires pre Black Friday, and scheduled an installation. My car was checked in at 3:00, and finished around 5:15. If you have the Walmart app, you can track the service. Be realistic, this will take some time. I did some shopping as I waited.
They need to be more organized here. The guy at desk- Mukesh was pleasant, but overwhelmed. Once you check-in, he then goes to search for your tires. Imagine all the tires delivered to the store, stored in trailers outside. The associates in the department were helpful as I checked out. ** I had tried calling store for days. Nobody picked up.
