The "check engine" and other warning lights came on while I was driving through NJ on my way home to another state. EG Auto was the best reviewed mechanic near my location, and they did not disappoint. Within an hour they had diagnosed the issue and gave me confidence that I could continue my trip safely and get the fix performed at home. If it had not been close to closing time, or if I lived in the area, I definitely would have used them for the work. Joe was extremely helpful

I wish I knew about this Automotive Service 18 years ago! Superior Service, friendly & professional , they thoroughly go over what your car needs and give you a quote right then. I called on a Wednesday evening and he gave me an 8am appointment for Thursday. I waited for them to do a 27 point inspection and by 9:30am I had the results, I approved the repairs and they got me a ride home. I needed some engine and transmission workThey said I could have it back that afternoon! And sure enough it was ready. Plus the facility is so clean. The waiting room is very comfortable . Update. First of all, all the previous good reviews belong to a different group of people who sold their place to these crooks. No response after 2 weeks, great. Lucky to be alive to post this review. Took my car for a basic service there 2 days ago. Didn’t drive it since then besides a couple of very short trips. First, they flat-out lied on the phone and doubled down in person that my car’s maintenance schedule requires coolant and break fluids flushed at 30k miles. Not that something is wrong with the fluids, but that it’s a requirement. I refused this upsell. The schedule is attached. Then, while driving on the highway at 80 mph, my car rebooted. There were no warning lights on the dashboard, so I kept driving to reach my destination and planned to check that issue there. About 30 minutes later, it happened again. I got a check engine light and a couple of other warnings. I drove to AutoZone where they scanned my car and told me that it was a battery connection issue. The battery terminals were not tightened. EG worked on my car and sent it back onto the highway in an unsafe condition. A loose battery connection at highway speed could have caused a serious accident. Next time they’ll forget to tighten the wheels too. Stay away.

I recently took my car to EG Auto, and I couldn't be happier with the service! From the moment I walked in, the staff was welcoming and attentive. They took the time to explain everything clearly and answered all my questions without any rush. The repairs were done quickly, and my car runs like new again! The attention to detail and customer care truly set them apart. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable and friendly auto service!

Had the guys do a service on my diesel truck. Nice easy scheduling and prompt service worked around my schedule.

I took my 2009 Jeep to EG Auto Center on the Friday before Christmas and indicated I had a problem with the steering (and I needed an oil change and a headlight). It turned out the rear suspension and much of the under carriage was corroded to a degree where driving it anymore was unsafe. Joe gave me a detailed breakdown of the problem, took photos and video to show the problem and a good estimate and delivered it back in tip top shape probably 4-5 days earlier than expected. Joe also provided daily updates as to the progress. A mechanic even worked on it on his own time. Joe did everything he could to cut the bill. I highly recommend EG Auto Center.

I am from Delaware and was in Nj for work. I broke down on nj turnpike and was able to make it to EG Auto Center. Everyone there was very nice, professional, and was able to get me back on the road within a couple hours. I would recommend them to everyone. Honestly, the best experience I have had at an auto center.

Joe is the person to go to! He was honest, knowledgeable, straightforward, and very accommodating with scheduling. I went in for a tire leak and was in and out quickly. No pushy sales tactics at all — definitely the place to go. Keep up the great work!

Joe, the first person I talked to at the reception desk, was very helpful in squeezing me in for a damaged tread on my tire while on the way to work. He ordered the part, gave me an estimated time of completion, and replaced the whole tire the same day. Very convenient and attentive to customer’s time. Thanks Joe and Staff.

Excellent service and very professional! I have a 2015 Ford Explorer XLT, and this was my first visit here. They fit me in on the same day I called to make an appointment, diagnosed my issues, gave me a written estimate, AND completed all of my services within the same day (completely replaced front & rear bakes, rotated tires, replaced driver’s side headlight bulb, and replaced front & rear wiper blades)! I would highly recommend EG Auto Services to anyone that needs to service their vehicle.

Had a very pleasant experience at EG Auto Center a few days ago. I am the type of guy who is meticulous about maintaining my vehicles, and typically drive them for 10 to 15 years, including my last 3 vehicles. I have no desire to work on my own vehicles, so the challenge has been to find a shop that is consistently competent and where ownership has integrity. The owner, Joe and his team did an outstanding job of installing a new front suspension on my truck, and two things that really impressed me were: 1). Unlike a lot of shops, Joe gave me the impression that he was REALLY listening to my concerns. He looks you in the eye and you know that your vehicle is in great hands, and 2). He seems like the type of guy who underpromises, and overdelivers. For example, he advised me that my suspension job would take approximately 2 or 3 days. I dropped my truck off at 8am, and imagine my surprise, when he left me a voicemail the very same evening that I'd dropped my vehicle off, informing me that it was ready. The icing on the cake, is that EG Auto is located directly across the street (Route 130 in Dayton) from an Enterprise Rent-A-Car. I am hoping that EG Auto is my long-term auto care home. A well-earned sincere, "Thank you!" to Joe and his team, and a very happy and healthy holiday season to them all as well.

Excellent Service! Came in for a tire nail patch and rotation — the team was quick, professional, and did an outstanding job. The repair was flawless, and they balanced and rotated all four tires perfectly. My car drives smoother than ever. Highly recommend for quality work and honest service!

Car started acting up when on the NJ turnpike as we were driving from South Carolina, took it to the nearest shop like an hour before closing and luckily they took it in asap. Problem couldn’t be fixed til the next day, which was a Saturday, though they had shorter hours they were able to finish like 15 minutes before close. Shoutout to EG for their flexibility, quick parts, and knowledge - thanks Bryan and Joe!

Last week I had an awesome experience at EG Auto Center. Everyone there is super polite, professional, and respectful. Out of all the places I’ve taken my car, this is the first time I felt like I wasn’t getting scammed. They found the issue with my car, explained everything clearly, and gave me a report of what needed fixing. Honest, helpful, and straight to the point, I really appreciate that. Now I finally feel comfortable taking my car somewhere. Huge thanks to Joe and the team, my car is running like new! Highly recommend this place.

Came with needing a whole mess of fluids change; transmission, oil, coolant and brakes. Did a walk in and Joe was great enough to squeeze me into an already packed day. After a reasonable time and notifications on anything else they inspected the car was done. Total charge was way less than what dealerships would’ve charged. Overall I’m satisfied with the work done and will be coming back for any car repairs. Thank you guys over at E&G!

EG Auto Center is one of the best places to get your car checked and fixed!! Today, I took my car in to get it checked before winter comes around and Joey did an amazing job and provided great customer service. I recently had suspension work done on my car, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Joe helped me from beginning to end — he explained the issues clearly, kept me updated throughout the process, and made sure everything was done right. His staff worked quickly and efficiently, and the price was fair. My car now drives smoother than ever. Let me start off by saying it was my first time at EG auto center and I have never seen or experienced such professionalism, overall knowledge and especially integrity. I went in for a simple Oil change and I had the opportunity to meet the owner, the man has an uncanny intellect in all things in the auto motive industry, and above all the most the man positive, genuine, straightforward and again professional representation. I will say also the customer service was quite possibly the best part, first time there and it felt like I was life long customer but treated me as if I was family. I Only can give positive reviews nor could I even say a single negative thing. Every aspect of EG auto center is what the consumer is looking and asking for. Customer for life.

My leased car was having multiple issues. I thought it would be best to take it to the dealership, knowing that wiring, batteries, computer issues might be handled best there. Long story short, I waited 4 days to hear back, my car had never been touched, and no updates at all. Turns out that I had no freon left and needed a new AC compressor. This was in a car that is under 4 years old and is driven to and from work (5 days a week) less than 30 miles round trip. This speaks to the quality of the vehicle. Prior to getting my first leased vehicle in 2020, I always used EG Tire and Auto for any problems with my car. I know that they are honest, work hard, and have really great customer service. I took my car to EG Tire and Auto in Dayton, NJ (2276 US-130, Dayton, NJ 08810). We dropped my car off on Thursday afternoon (5/8) to have the work started on Friday. I got 3 calls in the span of less than 2 hours with updates Friday morning. The car was ready for me to pick up at 8:30 this morning - 5/10/25. What a positive way to end an awful start to getting my car back! A special thanks to Joe who took great care of my car and eased my frustration and anxiety with the situation prior!

Highly Satisfied! I had a bubble defect in one of my tires one morning. I called up a few places, and they quoted me high prices and or the wait would be 2-3days. (Since they don’t carry run-flats ). I called EG, and talked to Joesph and it was done that same day! Amazing shop

The moment we enter the auto center, we feel like very cleanly and well maintained. Joe is so welcoming. I went for my slow lose of air on of my tire. It was dealt very quickly and most economical. I went at 8 AM and they started to look and completely fixed by 8:20 AM. I was surprised they had full service center and I am not aware of it till now. The prices are so economical as well. Thank you Joe and staff for your help.
