Chad and Whitehouse Auto are the best. We will only take our cars there for service, and he has helped us out of jams countless times - batteries, nails in tires, diagnostics, and repairs. Chad is responsive, knowledgeable, fair and trustworthy. You cannot do any better than Chad and his team!
Chad is a straight up and honest guy, won’t sell you on things you do not need and gets the job done right. 5 stars across the board. It’s tough to find a mechanic nowadays, you can trust Whitehouse Auto Service! I was actually present for the latest one star review left for this business. Dude pulls up in his BMW like he owned the place and walked in front of two other customers (me being one of them) like we weren’t even standing there. Demanding Chad drop what he was doing and look at his car, ignore that review. That dude was a total idiot. You want fair and honest service you will find it here.
Came here for some diagnostics on a check engine light. Guy covered in tattoos comes out and ask what I need. Told him I had a check engine light come on in my bmw. He takes a code scanner and gets in the car and tells me to wait in the lobby. I come out 20 minutes later to see what the codes were and he yells at me for interrupting him and says he’s not going to help me. Get back in my car and my sub from subway is eaten and drink is half drank. Ask him why he ate my food and he said it covered diagnostics. I think the guy was drunk. Beware.
Those guys are work horses I tell you! The tiny white kid is out there every morning. Even if I don’t stop in for gas I see him out there working. And don’t even get me started with the Spanish fella I don’t even know when he has off he’s there when I’m going to work he’s there when I’m going home. I really don’t know when the boss gives these guys a day off but I see why he has them working so much. The boss really has a good set of guys out there everyday, always friendly, talkative, and eager to clean my windows!
This shop has a great mechanic and the kids working out front at the gas pumps are always very friendly and helpful also. I have been following their mechanic for over 10 years and I would not trust anyone else to touch my car. He has always been able to solve my vehicle issues, so I trust him 100%. Very honest shop!!!
I came here a few weeks ago to get my tires changed. The head mechanic here needs to go back to mechanic school. He broke one of the bolts in my right front tire and stripped another one and he didn't tell me. He also told me that the tie rod was broken, which it isn't because if it was I wouldn't be able to steer the car. This man claims he had to learn how to fix cars because he couldn't afford repairs and he's out here ripping people off. Nice guy right? Well I've since gotten my car fixed by someone who is a more qualified mechanic. He was also supposed to call back with price quotes but he never did. I will not be returning here. Also $300+ for 2 tires is ridiculous when I asked for cheaper tires.
The short guy with the long hair is just amazing. He is always chatting with me while the car fills up only of course after he washes my windows (without me ever asking) he just does it. The other day I asked him to help me pump some air into my tires and fill up my windshield wiper fluid I tried giving him $20 but he refused said it was too much and that he was just trying to help the customers. I ended up buying him an ice cream from the place down the street. He is just always about the customer either helping me out or just talking about day to day things like the weather.
Chad is awesome! I called to ask for an appointment. He said he knew exactly what was wrong just from my description and would stay a little later so I could stop by on my way home from work instead of having to leave my car. He waited, took my car in, fixed the issue, pulled it back out to show me what happened - it was exactly what he thought. All within 10 minutes!
Nothing like asking the guy to not top it off and he does anyway and spills gas all over the side of your car wasting money and causing me to have to clean the gas off my car and my tire!
Class act, I was driving to Boston and my heat shield on the exhaust fell apart. On a Sunday at 9am, the owner lifted my car and we repaired the piece in 10min. Very friendly. Cannot recommend high enough.
Don't bring your car here. Most miserable business owner who has no idea what hes doing complete hack job. Guys working for him are good wish them luck .You ask questions he will insult you. More worried about over charging you for parts instead of being honest and kind. STAY AWAY!!!
They charge hi prices and the head mechanic is a joke says he's a master tech for honda and acura but he's afraid to do an account compressor in a Honda crv.He says it's to hard and to much work. WOW that's a master tech lol hahaha. Stay away
Greg - the lead mechanic - is superb. He knows his stuff! He provides suggestions and knows the strengths and weaknesses of just about every vehicle on the road, and provides inexpensive repairs AND preventive maintenance to keep us on the road. MUCH improved since he arrived 3 yrs ago...
I brought my car here for a simple repair and oil change. They looked the car over and called me later that day. Had a whole list of item's wrong with the car. Not only were they making some of these "problem's" up, there price's were astronomical and they couldn't even get the parts until the next day! Maybe if they brought the car in and looked at it instead of waiting until the afternoon, they would have gotten the parts the same day. I notice there is more standing aroung there then working whenever i would go in for gas. O well, im bringing my car to a more competent, not over priced shop that doesnt try to sell me something my car doesn't need. STAY AWAY!
