I had an extremely bad experience at this Advance Auto Parts location because of an employee named Jorge. During our interaction, he called me “mentiroso,” which means liar, even after I clearly showed him the transaction on my card proving the purchase. He simply could not locate it in the system and instead of helping, he became rude and accusatory.
On top of that, he blamed me for having the wrong battery for my vehicle and implied that I was being cheap. despite the fact that the battery was recommended and sold to me by one of their own team members as the correct fit for my car in the same store! I am not an auto parts expert, which is exactly why I rely on employees to give accurate recommendations.
Between the insults, the disrespectful tone, and the lack of accountability, this was one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had. Staff should be professional, knowledgeable, and willing to help customers, not talk down to them or make accusations.
I will seriously think twice before returning to this location, and I hope management addresses this behavior immediately.Feb 10, 2026 -

From start to finish, communication was smooth and everything was handled with attention to detail. You can tell he takes pride in his work. The team over at advanced helped me find correct parts to get my engine back to working order, they helped me look up my vehicle in there system and find the oem equivalent replacement, Brian assisted me by recommend items I would need to tackle this project. Thanks for the great customer service.

I’ve visited many autozone’s but this one stood out the most, the customer service was excellent, especially from Reinaldo, he came up to me and helped me with an issue I had with my car, definitely coming back to this store!

Went there to pick up some bulbs for my car. I was not greeted or asked if they could help me find anything. After finding what I was looking for I went up to the counter to pay and it was $10 more than the advertised price. I pointed that out to the cashier “Brian” who also said he was the supervisor and can’t change prices. After showing him the advertised price he said that they forgot to change the price back to the original price. After some back and forth he reluctantly took $5 off which was still not good enough and by this time I was annoyed with his arrogance and attitude so I left without the bulbs. If this guy “Brian” is really a supervisor, he should be stripped of his title and put in the back where he never has to deal with customers.

Had the most terrible experience returning windshield wipers here. The guy working the cashier asked if I had the receipt, I said no, can you please look up the transaction with my account and phone number? And he said in exact words "your as useful as you look". As a women, I was speechless. When asking him what he meant by that, he said nevermind, and continued processing the return.
Truly reconsider coming here! RUDE and sexist as hell will not be returning. Never have experienced something like this.

I’ve visited on August 27, 2025, and the young man that helped me showed superb knowledge and went out of his way to make sure I had the parts that I needed and that I got the best discount and price for what I was purchasing. Big ups to the staff at this location I honestly felt like an elite member when I visited the store. Thank you.

Placed two orders online today about a few hours apart. Thursday June 19. When I was ready to go to the store to pick up my purchase I reviewed my inbox and became aware the both my orders were cancelled. I called the store where I placed the order and explained to the associate that I was confused as to why my order was cancelled because parts were in stock. The store associate was not helpful as he made me aware that online orders are not something he handles so he couldn’t give me more information as to why it was cancelled. This is not the first time that I have trouble at this store. I decided to go to and purchase my items from the AutoZone on Secaucus road in Jersey City instead.

Don't bother calling for available parts, no one answers the phone. If they do they put you on hold right away then you'll be on hold for 30 minutes before it just disconnects your call, complete waste of time

I bought a DieHard battery from this location(07278) and 2 months later I'm back in the store because the battery kept dying.
At the store 'Abraham A 9975' tells me that he cant neither refund my money nor give me store credit for a battery that has 1year warranty and was defective 2 months into use.
Abraham A 9975 then ask me if I would buy a battery that looks like mine did, while pulling out a new "replacement battery" that looked equally dirty as mine did with 2 month of use and theirs which is supposed to be brand new. I also had bought a battery from Walmart that same day and it looks brand new compared to the ones being sold here.
Abraham A 9975 continues to try and tell me how I should do things and that I should tell people not to try to return the battery after they use it, to which I responded "You don't tell me what to do, and I will be telling people not to buy batteries from advance Auto Parts. "

This is probably the least helpful, least maintained auto parts store. I went to purchase an item that its website said it’s in stock, but couldn’t find it in the aisle. A staff told me to just buy “something in the aisle.” Just drove 5 minutes to Fairview store to get what I wanted…

I had a great experience at this location thanks to Jose. As most young females, I am pretty clueless when it comes to cars, parts, mechanics, maintenance, etc. He was so kind, non judgmental, and patient with my endless (probably very dumb) questions while he tested and replaced my battery. He was so generous with his vast knowledge, and I learned a lot of valuable info from him, and also of course left with a new battery as well. Thank you Jose!

5 Star Stellar customer service reviews on Justyn, your Technical Sales Service Associate who helped me and went above and beyond with his outstanding service. Justyn exceeded my expectations and needs from the start on 4/27/24 on the phone. I knew from the start that he was genuinely eager to support me in my auto needs. He welcomed me to visit the store via mentioned that upon arrival to his store that he would best accommodate me on finding the perfect windshield wiper for my Subaru Forester. Upon arrival to his N. Bergen store, he upgraded my windshield wipers to the best quality brand, Bosche with a super great discount where spending a little more above my budget ($10 above) was negligible, especially for the top quality product that I invested in. In addition, Justyn also offered to take the time to assist me in installing my new Bosche wipers on my Subaru and ensured a guaranteed proper secure and safe fit. Overall, hands down, Justyn provided me with one of the best auto and customer service that I have ever received in comparison to other auto service companies that I went to in the past! I had a disappointing experience picking up my package at Advance Auto Parts. The store manager, Victor, was unhelpful and rude. Despite my package being easily visible, it took him 15 minutes to locate it, and he was dismissive when I pointed it out. When I asked for his name, he responded arrogantly. Overall, it was a terrible display of customer service, especially from a manager. Avoid this location for UPS pick-ups.

Do not place any order here online order over two hours went to the store and the don’t have on stock! 5 employees in the building and none of them did the online job and plus we was only two people on line for those 20 min wait to someone take care. Such of waste of time. Dont go to this place go to the one on Grand st friendlier staff, faster, 3 min and i was in and out with only 3 employees have better costumer service

Came in store for a pick up order from an online order and it wasnt ready.
I WASNT notified that some of my item arent available in store even though ONLINE it says IN STOCK. On top of this , it took 20-30 mins to just pick up 1 out of 2 items.
The Manager Victor told me that he will order the item and have it in store for pick up the next day as early as 7am.
I come to the store despite such a bad traffic only to find out my item is not available AGAIN.
The employee calls the manager and was even put on speaker phone for the whole store to hear that he FORGOT to order my item.
Spent almost an hour in store waiting for 1 item for nothing because it turns out , it was in store all along , the manager just didnt look hard enough, he even marked the wrong item on the receipt so thats why the workers couldnt find my order.
If you come here , be prepared to wait a long time in line because they dont have enough staff to run the register or anythingApr 05, 2023 -
Best Advance Auto Parts Store in the area very well versed staff that are always professional and competent to get whatever it is you need. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this Advanced Auto Parts Store over other ones in area. And it is attached to a good tire shop. It's my go to auto parts store.

They're very helpful. I had a flat tire. They fixed it and then gave me a suggestion on my front two tires. I told them I couldn't fix it at that particular time and they didn't push the suggestion. Friendly service and not pushy. I appreciate that.

Today we went to return the old battery core. Unfortunately I didn't get his name, but the young man was very attentive and actually remembered our online order and who picked it up. I am very grateful for this for it made the return easy. I am also grateful for your quick response. This experience made up for yesterday's situation. Have a good day!
Would greatly appreciate it if someone would pick up the phone. My boyfriend's car battery died out and we are stranded. I have been calling since 6:20pm to see if your location has the battery we need and NO ONE PICKS UP!! YOU CLOSE AT 8!! Not the first time this has happened! The older white guy with the glasses at the front desk is absolutely no help at all. I went there TWICE & he didn’t even bother to check for what I needed. Went there a third time & there was a Hispanic guy that was very helpful & helped me more than he had to.

The worker was rude. The prices were high. While I typically like this chain, I will not be back to this particular store. There is a parking lot that is shared by a tire shop. I recommend that if you can, park on the street so you do not get blocked in. As far as prices go, Walmart is better but they do not have the same selection. If you can plan your purchase, you are almost certainly better off buying from an online or big box store.

Friendly helpful staff. Well stocked with the standard stuff (read: my special battery was NOT in stock, but was brought the next day). Good prices parking is a little funky. If you are lucky the street parking in front is available if you address just going in and out.
