What clients say about Walmart Supercenter in North Bergen Township (NJ)
Sandra at the Bakery is awesome! Everyone at the bakery is courteous and nice. We only get our cakes at this location and that is due to Sandra. Professional and always smiling.
Huge Walmart, great for getting everything you could possibly need in one shop! Clothes section is large and cheap. Really fun to visit as non-Americans - we got a NJ Transit bus from Penn station and it took around 30 mins. One bus per hour so doable as a trip from NYC if you fancied it!
Honestly I love this Walmart, I just wish it had more techy stuff but they do have a fairly large amount of inventory. I would recommend if you don’t mind busy places.
Waiting for pickup 1 hr call guy said we have your order and we will be with you in 5-10 minutes guess what still Waiting 45 minutes no on came horrible horrible walmart. You did not get my shipping fee so you do this to everyone.
I really enjoyed my experience at this Walmart. The store is always so clean and organized. The employees are helpful and friendly. I never have to wait too long when checking out. Will definitely shop here again.
Walmart canceled my order, disrespected me, and refused to honor the price
I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with my recent experience at the Walmart located at 2100 88th St, North Bergen, NJ 07047.
On April 5, I ordered a bicycle online for $108, and was told to pick it up after 11:00 AM on April 6. I traveled nearly two hours from New York to get there. But when I arrived, the staff told me that my order had been canceled without any notice.
What made it worse — the bike was actually in stock. But they refused to honor my online order price and told me I had to pay the in-store price of $178, even though the bike had a damaged kickstand (the part that lets it stand).
I said they should give me a discount based on the online price, especially since the bike was damaged and I had already placed an order at $108. But they refused. One staff member offered me a small discount, saying “I’ll take off about $40 because of the damage,” but still wouldn’t match the original online price I paid.
I politely asked them multiple times to speak with the store manager, but they never brought the real manager. Each time, they just sent random staff to talk to me and pretend they were in charge. I honestly felt like I was being disrespected and taken advantage of because my English isn’t perfect.
Even worse, when I went to customer service to explain my issue, one of the staff members became very rude and told me, “I’ve had enough of you”, and insisted that this store doesn’t handle online orders. They told me to “call support” and stop bothering them.
But the order was placed online for in-store pickup at THIS location. So this store is responsible for fulfilling it or helping with the issue — they can’t just push me away.
I spent over two hours at the store, from 11 AM to nearly 1:30 PM, and left with nothing but frustration and sadness. I have uploaded screenshots of my order, the pick-up notice, price changes, and photos of the bike.
I feel like Walmart deliberately canceled my order so they could raise the price, then refused to help when I showed up. I will never trust Walmart’s online pickup system again. This was an awful experience, and I hope other customers see this and are careful.
Guys if you reading this reviews please support my mechanic in you tube channel #Win4pick3lotteryplus @win4pick3lotteryplus he's and angel and i feeling very thankful.
Looking at Walmart for most of my home need is fabulous 👌. Always they have what I need and the best part is they price.
Worst Shopping Experience ever. When shopping for my monthly over a thousand dollar groceries and when the cashier tried to charge the new system declined my numerous cards with credit limits of the thousands. So the cashier had to cancel the transaction meaning they had to scan a over a thousand dollar groceries. So they did it again the machine it self again got stuck and would not charge my cards. Long story short I was there over a hour and a half and they couldn't figure out the problem to the point they canceled the transaction and they was about to scan everything all over again. 2 hours later they refunded all the money and I end up walking out with out any groceries. Frustrating.
Waiting for 30 min to pick up 1 box of lego, already paid online, just waiting to save time and 35 min later was told order is cancel by "myself" wich is a lie. Went inside and found out that they didn't have it and that is the reason
NJ is always a pleasure to shop at....no cap they ain't have no sports cards no marvel cards no pokemon cards though so I was a little disappointed but everything else my kids wanted and needed was there.
Honestly it's one of the best Walmart stores within the Secaucus/Jersey City and Bayonne Area! Everything was so neat, clean and organized very well. They had more variety of products compared to other Walmarts that I have been to. Can't wait to go back to this store again.
I'd rather walk barefoot through shards of glass than shop here. Employees are useless n all of them live in America but nobody speaks English, go figure. Fruit is usually rotten n can't tell you how many expired items I've found on the shelves.
Highly DO NOT RECOMMEND! I’m absolutely disgusted with this store. They do not do right by their customers. I ordered a TV as a gift that was supposed to be delivered same day. The delivery driver told me he did not have my package. I called customer service and was told the package was missing. I was also told another TV would be delivered same day as soon as a driver was available. I did not receive my TV. I called today and was told the store will not deliver the TV because it shows that the delivery driver was in my area and they have no further information. As a consumer, I have never been exposed to such mishandling of an order. Absolutely dissatisfied! What a disgrace!
The store itself is relatively good.
But they just recently removed the self check out in favor of adding more check out ailes, which makes it completely packed during busy times
This is a huge Walmart. It's a good place to find things that you need. It also gets more crowded than other locations. So be prepared. If you're picking up online orders, be sure to look at pick up instructions before arriving. You'll need to download the app. And the pick up location is around the block. The app will direct you.
Love the store but needs English speaking workers who are actually available to help. I wait for my hair care and toiletries longer than my wait in line to pay. Makes me not want to shop there anymore.
Please don't spend money for a members for u scan your own stuff for what. People need shop at walmart. Why I need to pay 😩 the line is empty waiting for a members scam.
I've personally never had an issue compared to other Walmarts. It's clean, and I don't have issues finding produce that's as good as a regular grocery store like Shoprite. Some of the fruit like berries can be iffy, but that's given the season. In terms of staff, I'd say a percentage is nice and readily available to assist, some, not so much, especially at self checkout, which is hit or miss.
Self checkout is now only 15 items or less and they will turn you away, which sucks but it is what it is. I'm sure it's combat stealing, but I'm not sure.
Go at a good time, early morning or late at night. The lines get ridiculously long and overwhelming, I'm sure it's only worse now since the change in checkout stations. The weekend is very busy as well.
I absolutely love shopping at Walmart, especially the one in North Bergen! There’s something about the variety and convenience that keeps me coming back. However, I have to admit that weekends can be quite overwhelming. The store gets packed, and finding parking can feel like a mini-adventure of its own!
If weekends are your only option, I recommend heading over after midnight. The atmosphere is so much calmer, and you can browse without the usual hustle and bustle. Alternatively, if you can swing it, try to visit during the weekdays—just after Monday is perfect! You’ll find the shelves fully stocked and the experience a lot more pleasant. Happy shopping!
I used to like going here, but lately it's just so disorganized that I rather do the self-checkout (which doesn't exist anymore), or go to another location. Also, how come there's no more self-checkout for over 15 items? Even with the Walmart+ membership, I see no purpose. Also, a lot of the workers cannot communicate because they don't even speak English. I no longer will be shopping within the store. It's just too hectic and disorganized.
Never have anything it’s always empty they do not have a variety of Spanish stuff or Korean soups. Some of the staff are rude. They do not help you and some do not speak English. I don’t understand this. This is an American world. Also, the vegetables are never fresh is always soaking with the water the sprinkles on it the woman who give the coat cause always have a consistent attitude and some of the cash register. Girls are always on their cell phones, hitting their shirt talking where they’re scanning our stuff one time I had to go back because she overcharge me for being on her phone.
It's been a while since I've been to this Walmart. It still has everything you could possibly need, from medicine to simple home furnishings, decor, toys, and a garden center. However, I was disappointed to see some items are now locked up. That was kind of sad.
But what I disliked even more was the music playing on the loudspeakers. It was in really bad taste! I never thought I'd hear Reggaeton in Walmart. I'm sorry, but whenever I hear that kind of music, the store loses credibility for me, and I tend not to go back (at least it could be heard outside in the garden area).
The place is not like to have fun buying, but meets the goal of saving a little with the necessary things from home. It is a clean place, it has restrooms for customers.
Received Walmart grocery order (10/23) and consumed them. But received expired Lettuce. Contacted customer service but was told only thing Walmart can do is issuing refund.
This place always has everything you need for life! Be careful, don't park in the middle of the parking lot if it's supposed to rain.....
Management is trash!
They were on some BS didn't want to file an incident report, gave me a run around. My car was totaled and Walmart corporate left me out to dry!
Don't say you weren't warned!
Maybe not a good place to buy Salmon. The "Sale by" date was 6/7/2024 on 6/8/2024.
And, Customer Service is closed on Sunday....🤷🏽♀️
Otherwise, it's my favorite Walmart to shop.
Four stars because of the drama with the Lead over Customer Service and my refund.
Don’t come to this Walmart unless you want to be profiled. There are no attendants ready to unlock the items I needed. When someone finally came after 10 minutes, she put the dove shower gel under her arms and insisted I follow her to the self checkout yet I had not finished shopping. The attendant then put the shower gels on the floor, I went ahead with my shopping. I still had to ask for those items and they were handed to the cashier. I had over $500 worth of things in my basket, it beats me how the process of getting DOVE SHOWER GEL has to be so patronizing. I’ve never experienced this in any other Walmart.
Do Better
The most stocked and varied Walmart in Bergen County. I love that there is a huge lot with ample parking, no matter how busy the store gets. It makes for a less stressful experience.
Relatively clean and organized. There is always someone working in the department I am in, stocking shelves or cleaning. The only drawback is that sometimes, especially the grocery aisles, have a shortage of products due to the high number of shoppers. But that can't be blamed on the workers or store, and I always walk out with 99% of the items I was looking for.
