Davontae one of the supervisors is a cool dude . He gets the line moving efficiently. He always gets us checked out quickly . Unlike other locations . That’s why come here

Devontae T one of the supervisors was very helpful and understanding to the situation I was in . He helped and assisted in a replacement of an item that was damaged during shopping inside of the store . When approach he immediately willingly assisted himself instead of pawning it off to another worker . Really appreciated his help

It was a winter storm day in January 2026 and we drove through snow covered local and highway to buy some groceries. And when we finally made it there, the store was closed… and we drove back home in the storm and on the snowy road again.
Actually, we wondered if this Costco would open before we left but clearly all other Costco stores says closed, expect this one which still said open.
Please update your Google page or store website so people know when you close.Jan 28, 2026 -
The customer service at this location is extremely unprofessional. Some staff members clearly do not understand basic terminology, yet still try to lecture customers with an arrogant attitude.
What’s even worse is the manager. The manager was incredibly mean and dismissive, and I honestly don’t understand how someone with such a poor attitude is allowed to be in a management position. This kind of behavior sets the tone for the entire team, making the staff come across as condescending and unpleasant.
Compared to other Costco locations, this one is absolutely terrible. The experience here was disappointing from start to finish, and I would not recommend this location to anyone.Jan 07, 2026 -
Manager named Drew refused to check me out because I met up with a friend at this location who was doing Instacart. I got to the line and was greeted by a cashier, she began ringing me up until Drew came over and said I can not check out. Very racist person and I have always shopped here…never again!

Usually Costco hire great employees but not this location. Most of the workers here have a lot of attitude towards their customers. Management should put more efforts

Drew the supervisor is one of the rudest people I’ve ever encountered I come to this Costco very often and today makes me question even wanting to remain a Costco executive member.
First she was so rude to the customers in front of us and literally walked away and came back and told the cashier loud for everyone near to hear I couldn’t take it I had to get away it was to much! She was rude to the employee also.
Now it’s my turn she comes up behind me and says I’ll do that I tell her no thank you I like packing my own cart makes it easy to load up my car she rolls her eyes.
I go to pay and the customers behind me are on top of me I ask for some personal space and to please back up I need to insert my card and I need space. They ignore me so I say can you move back! Drew says it’s a child I said no it’s the adults there’s no reason for them to be so close my card information isn’t anyone’s business! She continues to get nasty with me and I continue to tell her I’m entitled to want space she proceeds to tell me calm down I looked her dead in the face and said the more you tell me to calm down the more I’m gonna speak since you’re not helping by asking them to back up. So the other adult up my back says what’s the problem and again I say no reason for you guys to be so close please back up and give us space!
I spoke with the manager but I’m still not happy because I don’t think anything will change she also didn’t want to give me her name she held her name tag flipped up I said it’s simple to point you out so name or no name I can still report you!
Just avoid this supervisors line because apparently she’s lacking customer service not only with me but the customers before me that one walked out because of her rudeness! Supervisors should deescalate a situation not add fuel to the fire. Simple response to the customers up my back would be excuse me can you please step back and give them space!
I pay to be a member and I spend alot of money so let’s learn courtesy if you’re having a bad day so be it but don’t take that out on multiple paying customers! I hope this was rectified properly!Dec 21, 2025 -
Even though I live in SI -NY, I alwas go to Costco in Bayonne- NJ. Parking is never an issue here, gas station is managed much better and a lot more space as well. As far as merchandise availability - most of the time I do find what I'm looking for- and its pretty similar to the one in Staten Island. Thank you Costco.

Feedback on Recent Experience at Costco Tire Shop
To whom it may concern
I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to share some feedback regarding my recent visit to the Costco Tire Shop. During my visit, I interacted with Jonathan, the supervisor on duty. Unfortunately, I found his attitude and professionalism to be lacking, which impacted my overall experience.
I believe in the importance of quality customer service, and I hope this feedback can be constructive. Please let me know if you need any additional details or if we can discuss this further.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.Dec 08, 2025 -
I come here every Sunday with my dad to do our grocery shopping. I love the free samples and we always have lunch after shopping. I love the slice of pep and a Coke Zero

Costco in Bayonne offers the classic warehouse-club experience with strong value, but with a few areas that could improve. The store is large, organized, and well-stocked, making it easy to find everything from bulk groceries and household essentials to electronics and seasonal items. Shoppers often appreciate the variety and the consistent deals. The location also includes useful member services such as a gas station and a convenient food court, which adds to the overall experience.
However, like many popular Costco locations, this one can get extremely crowded, especially on weekends. The heavy foot traffic sometimes makes navigating the aisles or checking out feel a bit hectic. Some customers have also mentioned that the produce section isn’t always the strongest, with limited variety and occasional freshness issues. Another common point of feedback is that the membership desk can be hit or miss — while some visits are smooth, others feel less helpful or slower than expected.
On the staffing side, employees generally receive good reviews for pay and work-life balance, though management experiences can vary. A helpful perk is that this Costco also supports same-day delivery through partner services, which is great for avoiding the crowds.
Overall, it’s a solid spot for bulk shopping and great value — best enjoyed during non-peak hours.Nov 22, 2025 -
God bless the folks that work at this Costco. The staff there is very helpful and friendly, so that's a plus. Note: I consider their shopping carts Lamborghinis compared to other stores.

Easy to shop here, especially compared to the one in Brooklyn, where I live. In Brooklyn the employees are mostly angry and never helpful. In Bayonne, the employees offer help, it doesn't take forever to get through the lines, and parking is actually possible -- plus there's a gas station. Nice to get the better price filling up.
Good job, Bayonne Costco.Nov 04, 2025 -
I've shopped here numerous times and the experience has always been good. Sometimes it does get a bit crowded especially in the weekends, at the same time compared to other Costco's in the NJ area, this one is much better. Plus there are some decent restaurants nearby so you can have a nice meal after purchasing here.

Good sized Costco. Everything was fully stocked. Staff was helpful, particularly Dwayne who helped us get our membership. The checkout lanes seem to be more efficient.
Their stock changes somewhat frequently and you can't always count on getting the items you wantOct 26, 2025 -
The layout is not what I would have done, and there's a couple things they dont have that other locations do have. But everything else is great. And they have a gas station, which no locations in NY seem to. Plenty of parking available too.

I came in with an item in my purse that I planned to return. To make sure I didn’t forget about it, I put it in my cart while I shopped. When I got to the register, the cashier asked about it, and I explained that I had brought it in and would return it after checking out.
Even though I was being honest, the situation was escalated to a supervisor and then to the store manager. She asked for my membership card, looked at it, and said in a pretty condescending tone, “You’ve been a member since 2018 and you don’t know the policy?”
She said returns have to be done before shopping, but I’ve never seen that posted anywhere in the store or at the entrance. If that’s really the policy, it should be clearly communicated to members instead of being brought up at the register in that way.
****I spoke to Costco's corporate office after and they CONFIRMED that this is NOT A STORE POLICY.****
It also felt like they didn’t even want to take the return. There was a lot of whispering between staff, which made the whole thing feel awkward and unnecessary. In the end, they processed the return with no issue, so I really don’t understand why it had to turn into such a scene over a $12 item.
What’s frustrating is that if I had just kept the item in my purse and said nothing, none of this would have happened. So is the problem that I was honest? That doesn’t seem right.
I’ve spent thousands at Costco since I've been a member and have always appreciated the customer service, but this experience made me feel disrespected and uncomfortable.Oct 20, 2025 -
This Costco needs to do a better job at hiring their employees. It’s insane spending so much money at a store to be rudely spoken to by the cashiers and staff. The management at this location needs to be evaluated because it’s not just a one rude employee issue.

On a regular Sat. Costco Bayonne run, we experienced new low with Costco. Costco now limit 1 guest per membership upon entrance. My parents were denied entry when my wife/I went. General Manager and a mean associate were willing to engage in heated discussion with customers. Hey Costco, you’re not immune to customer attrition, people can take their business elsewhere. Your poor customer service attitude will haunt you. Hey Costco GM Bayonne, you’ll never make to Costco management like this, you’ve capped out in your career development like this. If a social media video hits the internet showing how aggressive you are, your management team will go after you. Maybe update your DOS-based (green screen) ERP and you can utilize better technology for customer service focused strategies.

horrible experience at Costco Bayonne, the lady to the left lat the sample counter was nibbling the food herself using her hands and didn't realize there was a line of people waiting. she turned and instead of apologizing she said, you want to eat raw food or what, get outta here you're making me uncomfortable, people were shocked and wondering if she is insane or what and left. when we were walking past later we saw her arguing her with a new group of people with little kids saying she won't serve them. Not sure how they hire these folks but both these ladies were really mentally unstable making the whole costco experience horrible.

Purchased 3 trays of figs yesterday. Gave 2 trays to my mother in law. called her this morning to ask her how was figs. 75% of the figs were bad. And she threw them in the garbage. Upon hearing -I checked my tray of figs and noticed they were all bad. Went to customer service this morning-only able to refund the 1tray. I understand the policies of companies needing product return for refunds. But there is also "common sense"- using a courtesy decision to take care a customer. Since the opening of Bayonne Costco- average $200.00 a week in purchases & have never returned an item in my time as a member. "Guess I'm trying to take advantage of $20.00 of Costco products-Pathetic" Unlike hard goods. Perishable items (fruits/vegetables/dairy)-Now I question Bayonne Costco Mgt for quality control.

Wonderful cashiers, customer service from floor, food service, check out and membership to optical dept and return.
Great selections, clean store, great lighting and lots of parkingJan 16, 2025 -
Costco is honestly one of my favorite places to shop. They have a ton of stuff at really good prices, and the quality is usually great. I especially like their Kirkland brand—it's pretty much always worth it.
The store can get busy, so sometimes it feels a little hectic, but the deals make up for it. The employees are helpful when you need them, and the return policy is super easy to deal with.
Oh, and the food court? Cheap and delicious. The hot dog combo is a classic. Overall, it’s a solid place to get a lot of what you need in one trip.Jan 11, 2025 -
Despite living in Staten Island, I love going to this Bayonne location. I buy groceries here almost weekly, get gasoline for so much cheaper, gifts, pizza for the family, I've never had a problem here, will continue to shop here, great deals as well

Best pesto I have ever tried. Tempted to buy the Macallan 18 but it's expensive. Bought a bunch of baby clothes for our soon to arrive twin grandchildren. Awesome cherry cheesecake

Very nice costco. Plenty of products. I was happy to see they had rainx windshield wiper fluid in aisle 112. The staff are very helpful and very professional. Jorge at the tire center was very helpful and knowledgeable and assisted me with my purchase and scheduling of my appointment for tire installation.

This is a very nice Costco location. Crazy enough if you blink your eyes you will think you are in the Teterboro NJ location. This is due to the internal layout being nearly identical other than slight differences at the entrance and exit.
Employees were friendly. Not as many customers so the lines were a lot smaller and faster.
Items were organized nicely and very clean here.
On a side note, I found 2 items here that have the black star on them (items that are discontinued and won't be restocked). These 2 items were already sold out and long gone for over 2 months at the Teterboro and Hackensack locations (Pantene 5 in 1 shampoo & conditioner). The new product replacing it is called Pantene 10 in 1. Same size, same bottle, same pump, same ingredients but a bidenflation increase in price of $4 per bottle or $8 total if you want to get both shampoo and conditioner.
So if you are looking for black starred, discontinued Costco items, this Bayonne location might still have a reserve supply in stock.
New roast beef sandwich is here at the Bayonne location, but for some dumb reason they pre-mix all the ingredients so there is no way to get a sandwich without onions, garlic, mushrooms or other ingredients. No way to get a plain roast beef sandwich. Other people were complaining of the super high price on this new sandwich at $10 which I totally agree. The rest of the snack bar has affordable items around a dollar or 2. You can get a whole delicious large pizza for the same $10. Well since we can't get a plain roast beef sandwich I won't care if they end up discontinuing this.
The parking lot here is vastly superior with mostly friendly shoppers, no fighting for spots, no lunatics trying to grab a parking spot like as if their life depended on it (and willing to attack and shed blood with anyone who dares attempt to take the spot they want).. this may be due to the time and day I visited this location. It might be possible that they also have crazy parking spot road raging lunatics during different days or times?
Anyway, the location and position of the Costco Gas station seems to work better here in Bayonne than at Teterboro. In the Teterboro location, on a busy day the line of cars gets so huge that it clogs not only the parking lot but the main artery linking the main road into and out of the parking lot which just becomes a giant mess. In Bayonne, the gas is off to the side from the main lot and didn't seem to affect the people parking and exiting Costco.Aug 19, 2023 -
This is the best Costco in the area. It is kept nice and clean and it is very large. Supposing because it is new that it is not so. Crowded at this point. They have so many items and the service is excellent!

I love Costco! You have everything from tooth brush to baking powder fruit cheese just everything! Fresh high quality, you can walk around for hours. They also give you taste some of the delicious products along the way. The Costco products are cheap and High quality! At the and you also grab a delicious warm pizza for a dollar or two.
This location is new and very nice, good service! Close to the light rail so it's nice if you don't have a car.May 26, 2019
